Intended use
T is vacuum cleaner is intended for domestic use only,
not for commercial use. Only use t is vacuum cleaner
in accordance wit t e instructions in t is instruction
manual.
T e manufacturer will not accept any responsibility for
damage caused by improper use or incorrect operation.
T erefore, please note t e following points.
T e vacuum cleaner must only be operated wit :
manufacturer's original dust bags
Original replacement parts, accessories or optional
accessories
The vacuum cleaner is not to be used for:
cleaning persons or animals
vacuuming up:
– Insects and spiders
– Hazardous, s arp-edged, ot or burning
substances.
– Damp or liquid substances
– Hig ly flammable or explosive substances and
gases
– As , soot from tiled stoves and central eating
systems
Safety information
T is vacuum cleaner complies wit t e generally
accepted standards of tec nology and t e relevant
safety regulations.
We confirm t at it complies wit t e following
European directives: 2004/108/EC and 2006/95/EC.
Always observe t e information on t e rating plate
w en using t e vacuum cleaner and connecting to
t e power supply.
Never use t e vacuum cleaner wit out a dust bag.
=> T is can damage t e appliance.
Only allow c ildren to use t e vacuum cleaner under
supervision.
T is appliance must not be used by persons wit
limited p ysical, sensory or mental abilities or wit a
lack of experience and knowledge (including
c ildren) unless t ey ave been instructed in t e use
of t e appliance by a responsible person.
Keep suction away from your face w en using t e
andle, nozzles or pipe. => T ere is a risk of injury.
Never carry t e vacuum cleaner by t e power cord.
Fully extend t e power cord w en using t e vacuum
cleaner continuously for several ours.
W en disconnecting t e appliance from t e mains,
pull t e plug, not t e power cord.
Do not pull t e power cord around s arp corners or
allow it to become trapped.
Unplug t e power cord from t e mains before
carrying out any work on t e vacuum cleaner or its
accessories.
Do not use t e vacuum cleaner if it is damaged.
Unplug t e power cord from t e mains if a fault is
detected.
For safety reasons, only aut orised after-sales
service personnel are permitted to carry out repairs
and fit replacement parts to t e vacuum cleaner.
T e vacuum cleaner s ould be protected from
outside weat er conditions, moisture and sources of
eat.
T e vacuum cleaner is not suitable for use on
building sites.
=> Vacuuming up building rubble could damage t e
vacuum cleaner.
Switc off t e vacuum cleaner w en it is not in use.
At t e end of its life, t e vacuum cleaner s ould be
disposed of in an appropriate manner.
 For safety reasons, vacuum cleaners wit a power
rating of more t an 2,000 W are fitted wit a
temperature safety switc .
T is automatically switc es off t e vacuum cleaner if
it is blocked and over eating. Unplug t e vacuum
cleaner from t e mains and make sure t at t e
nozzles, suction pipe and ose are not blocked and
c eck w et er t e filter needs replacing.
Having cleared t e blockage, leave t e vacuum
cleaner to cool down for at least one our. It can
t en be switc ed back on again.
isposal information
Packaging
T e packaging is designed to protect t e vacuum
cleaner from being damaged during transportation.
It is made of environment-friendly materials and can
be recycled.
Dispose of packaging t at is no longer required at an
appropriate recycling point.
Used vacuum cleaners
Used vacuum cleaners still contain many recyclable
materials.
T erefore, please take used vacuum cleaners to your
retailer or recycling centre so t at t ey can be
recycled.
For current disposal met ods, please enquire at your
appliance dealers ip or local council.
!Please note
Only connect t e appliance to a socket t at is
protected by at least a 16 amp fuse.
If a fuse s ould blow w en you switc on t e vacuum
cleaner, t is may be because ot er electrical
appliances w ic ave a ig current draw are
connected to t e same power circuit.
To prevent t e fuse from tripping, select t e lowest
power setting before switc ing t e vacuum cleaner
on, and increase t e power only once it is running.

Setting up
Before using for the first time
Pus t e andle onto t e flexible ose until it
engages.

Pus t e crevice nozzle and up olstery nozzle into
t e accessories older as illustrated.
Pus t e flexible tube adapter into t e air intake
opening in t e vacuum cleaner lid until it engages

Holding t e power cord by t e plug, pull out t e
required lengt and plug t e plug into t e mains
socket.
Push the telescopic tube into floor tool.
Push the handle into the telescopic tube.
Release the telescopic tube by moving the adjusting
sleeve / sliding switch in the direction of the arrow and
adjust the tube to the required length.

Setting up
Switching on/off
Your appliance is fitted wit a pop-out control
button.
To switc on t e appliance, press t e control
button in t e direction of t e arrow down to t e
stop and release. T is will release and extend t e
controller.
To switc off t e appliance, press t e control
button in again down to t e stop. T is will leave
t e control button retracted in t e appliance.
Controlling the suction level
T e required suction level can be set to any level
required by turning t e control knob in t e
direction of t e arrow.
Low suction range =>
For vacuuming delicate fabrics,
e.g. curtains.
Medium suction range =>
For daily vacuuming of lig tly
soiled floors.
Hig suction range =>
For vacuuming durable floor
coverings, ard floors and for eavily soiled
surfaces.

Vacuuming with accessories
Attac t e nozzles to t e tube or andle as
required:
 Crevice nozzle for vacuuming crevices and
corners, etc.
 Up olstery nozzle for vacuuming up olstered
furniture, curtains, etc.

Remove t e up olstery nozzle and crevice nozzle
from t e accessories older as illustrated.

Vacuuming
After use, pus t e crevice nozzle and up olstery
nozzle back into t e accessories older as
indicated.

Hard-floor brush
For vacuuming ard floor coverings (tiles, parquet
flooring, etc.)
Cleaning the hard-floor brush
Vacuum from below to clean t e brus es.
Cut t roug t reads and airs wound round t e
rollers using scissors.
Vacuum t reads and airs wit t e crevice
nozzle.

Vacuuming
T e tool connector can be removed if t e vacuum
c annel becomes blocked.
Place t e brus wit t e suction opening facing
upwards, pus t e guide at t e side of t e w eel
slig tly outwards and pull t e tool connector
upwards and away from t e brus .
You can use t e parking aid on t e back of t e
vacuum cleaner if you wis to stop vacuuming for a
s ort time.
Once you ave switc ed off t e vacuum cleaner,
slide t e catc on t e floor tool into t e recess on
t e rear of t e appliance.
T e appliance can also be carried using t e
carrying andle w en vacuuming steps, for
example.
W en refitting t e connector, make sure t at it is
correctly seated and t at it engages correctly in
t e guide.

Unplug t e vacuum cleaner.
Tug t e power cord briefly and let go. T e cable
t en rewinds automatically.

When the work is done
To remove t e flexible ose, press t e two lugs
toget er and pull t e tube out.
To store/ transport t e vacuum cleaner, use t e
storage aid on t e underside of t e vacuum
cleaner.
Stand t e vacuum cleaner up on its end. Slide t e
catc on t e floor tool into t e groove on t e
underside of t e appliance.

Changing the dust bag and filters
Replacing the dust bag
If t e dust bag c ange indicator is completely
yellow w en t e floor tool is lifted from t e floor
and t e ig est suction power is selected, t e
dust bag must be c anged, even if it is not yet full.
In t is case it is essential to c ange t e dust bag
due to t e type of material it contains.
First c eck t at t e nozzle, suction pipe and
flexible ose are not blocked, as t is would also
lead to t e dust bag c ange indicator being
triggered.
T e andle can easily be detac ed from t e ose
to remove blockages.
Opening the lid
Press t e control button down to t e stop and
leave it retracted in t e appliance.
!Caution: Only open t e lid wit t e control
button retracted.
Open t e lid by moving t e locking lever in t e
direction of t e arrow.

Changing the dust bag and filters
Seal t e dust bag by pulling t e sealing strip and
remove t e bag.
Slide t e new dust bag into t e older to t e stop.
!Caution: the lid will only close if a dust bag has
been inserted.
Cleaning the motor protection filter
T e motor protection filter s ould be cleaned
regularly by knocking out t e dirt or rinsing it out.
Open t e dust bag compartment lid.
Pull out t e motor protection filter in t e
direction of t e arrow.

Clean t e motor protection filter by tapping it.
If it is very dirty, t e motor protection filter
s ould be rinsed out.
T e filter must t en be left to dry for at least 24
ours.
After cleaning, slide t e motor protection filter
into t e vacuum cleaner and close t e dust bag
compartment lid.
Replacing the micro - filter
T is s ould be replaced wit every replacement
filter pack
Open t e dust bag compartment lid.
Release t e filter older by moving t e locking
lever in t e direction of t e arrow.
Remove t e micro -filter. Insert t e new micro -
filter into t e filter older.
Insert t e filter older into t e vacuum cleaner
and clip into place.
If you have used the vacuum cleaner for
vacuuming fine dust particles, clean the motor
protection filter and, if necessary, replace the
micro - filter.

product. Never immerse the vacuum cleaner in water.
T e dust compartment can, if necessary, be cleaned wit a second vacuum
cleaner or simply wiped wit a dry clot or dusting brus .

Micro active carbon filter BBZ192MAF
Combination of micro filter and active carbon fil-
ter. Combats unpleasant odours over a long peri-
od. Replace twice a year. Replace carbon filter
frame wit micro filter frame.
Please note
It is not possible to combine a HEPA filter and a
micro active carbon filter.

All-in-one brus ing and vacuuming of up olstered furni-
ture, mattresses, car seats, etc. Especially suitable for
