CD Changer Adaptor and Face Plate Disassembly/Assembly Procedure
1. Face Plate Removal
1.1 With the CD changer upside down,
press down on the two lower tabs that
secure the face plate (1) to the chassis.
1.2 Pull the face plate away from the
chassis.
2. Face Plate Replacement
2.1 With the CD changer upside down,
angle the face plate (1) into the chassis so
that the two upper tabs enter the chassis
first. While pressing down on the two lower
tabs, press the face plate into the chassis.
3. Adaptor Removal
3.1 Loosen the two allen screws that are
used to secure the two clips (7) to the
chassis.
3.2 Remove the two clips (7) that secure
the adaptor (2) (5) to the chassis and slide
the adaptor off.
4. Adaptor Replacement
4.1 Place the adaptor (2) (5) onto the
chassis in the position shown in Figure 1.
4.2 Place the two clips (7) onto the posts
located on the chassis.
4.3 Slide the clips so that the posts are
positioned in the smaller opening of the
clip. Tighten the allen screw on each clip.
Importanth Remove the two brass shipping screws located on the bottom of the CD
changer mechanism before installation. The elevator will not operate with these screws in
place. See Figure 2 below.
