History
In 1958, company founder Richard T. Fi her introduced the fir t Bo ton Whaler boat in Braintree,
Ma achu ett . It featured two ignificant innovation : fir t, it twin pon on hull de ign produced uperior
tability and a remarkably dry ride; econd, it unique foam core con truction made the boat not only du-
rable, but un inkable a well.
Fi her took every opportunity to illu trate the unique characteri tic of the Bo ton Whaler. Hi mo t famou
demon tration wa captured in 1961, by Life Magazine. The erie of photograph howed the boat under-
way, the boat being awed in half and ultimately Fi her motoring away in the remaining half of the boat. And
through the year many other demon tration have proved the toughne and durability of the Bo ton Whaler
hull. And though you may never cut your boat in half, thi only goe to how one thing, people who e

part number when writing about or ordering part

Our Hull
Bo ton Whaler® hull are con tructed with our pat-
ented Unibond con truction. Thi involve hoot-
ing high den ity foam into a clo ed mold y tem.
The foam expand to fill void in the hull, and when
the fini hed product i pulled from the mold, the deck
and the hull are chemically bonded to form a olid,
in eparable unit.
