Bowers & Wilkins TS10055 User manual

STEP 1
The Tow & Stow Pintle hitch will
be packaged and shipped in the
stow position. When installing
on the vehicle make sure that
the hitch is pinned and locked
into the receiver.
STEP 2
With the hitch in the stow
position remove pins while
supporting the hitch with one
hand. With the pins removed
lower the hitch to the bottom
of the slotted block and rotate
upward. Raise or lower to the
desired height and insert pins
and locking pins in the holes.
The Tow & Stow Pintle Hitch can be rotated in the receiver and used in the raised position. This does however require
that the two main parts of the hitch be separated and reversed. (see step 3)
STEP 3
Reversing the pintle
Remove the hitch from the
vehicle and lay down so that the
receiver and main slotted block
are standing in an A shape.
With the pins removed raise
the adjustable part of the hitch
upward to the top of the block.
STEP 4
Rotate the adjustable part
toward the receiver end of the
hitch until the two short (non-
removing) locking pins will slide
out of the slots machined into
the back side of the block.
STEP 5
Turn the adjustable part of
the hitch around and install in
the reverse order that it was
removed.
STEP 6
Now the hitch can be installed
in the receiver of the vehicle
in the upward position. Make
sure the pin is locked into the
receiver tube. The hitch can be
raised or lowered to the desired
height and locked with pins and
cotter pins.
STEP 7
The Tow & Stow Pintle can also
be use as a 2” or 2-5/16” ball
hitch. To use as a ball hitch
remove the pin from the top
plate. Then rotate the top plate
up the pin can be reinstalled in
the lower hole, this will lock the
plate in the upward position.
When using as a ball hitch the
tow rating is 10,000 lbs.
Caution! Like any tool, the TOW & STOW RECEIVER HITCH ball mount requires respect. Always use standard towing procedure and follow
safety checklist (ball tight, safety chains, etc.). Never hook up safety chains to ball mount. Never overload your towing system. Always use
caution when handling the TOW & STOW RECEIVER HITCH ball mount. To avoid pinching ngers, never remove from receiver or carry this
hitch without the locking pins in place.
