STEP #1
Obtain a YSI 400 temperature sensing
source, esophageal, foley or rectal and
connect it to the Temp 1 port on the back of
the unit.
The device uses the Temp 1 (PT1) source for
its algorithm. The secondary Temp 2 source
(PT2) is for patient temperature monitoring
only. (Dia 1)
STEP #2
Turn the IQool System on (Dia 2) and review
the programmed protocol to be sure they
meet your institutions guidelines.
STEP #3
Select the proper sized torso and thigh
pads for your patient. Roll the torso
Neoprene wrap as instructed.
As with any medical device, there are risks associated with the use of the IQool™ System. Please read
and strictly follow the instructions for use, including information regarding indications for use,
warnings, precautions, methods of use and device maintenance.

IF NEEDED: Interrupting the
treatment for patient transport.
STEP #4
Log roll the patient and align the torso pads
to the spine and place the pads on the
Neoprene.
STEP #5
Raise each leg and place the Neoprene
and thigh pad as instructed.
STEP #6
Connect the pads to the double
connection. Once connected a green
light will illuminate. It is recommended
that the Neoprene fluid line be covered
with the provided plastic sleeve.
STEP #7
Begin therapy via the touchscreen.
