Introducing the Ranger System
The Ranger System is designed to provide an unobstructed view
of the vocal cords through the use of advanced video
technology. Use of the Ranger System has been found to help
eliminate uncertainty during endotracheal intubation by providing
a reliable view of the airway 99% of the time.1
The Ranger System, based on GlideScope®GVL®technology, is
an ideal tool for physicians and other healthcare providers who
need to effectively manage standard to difficult airways in remote
locations, pre-hospital, and other mobile, emergency situations.
The GlideScope®Ranger is available in both reusable and single
use models
Built to meet U.S. military specifications, the GlideScope®
Ranger is operational in seconds, provides a clear view of the
airway on a non-glare, color monitor, offers an innovative anti-
fogging mechanism, is compact, portable, and rugged.
Ranger video laryngoscopes may be useful for the following
procedures:
First use intubations, replacing Direct Laryngoscopy (DL)
Normal or restricted oropharyngeal views and
assessment of the oropharynx
Cormack-Lehane grades I - IV laryngeal views
Trauma airways - excellent when dealing with blood and
secretions in the airway
Airway management in morbidly obese patients
Cervical spine immobilization
Preterm and neonatal intubations
Reintubation in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) settings
