• Set the base on a flat, steady surface and plug cord into a grounded
wall outlet. (If your kettle has a removable power cord, attach the female
end of the power cord to the base first.)
• Lift o the kettle’s lid and ll kettle with cold water.
IMPORTANT!Donotfillabovethe“max”llline(1.2L).
• Replace lid with vent holes facing away from the handle.

• Fill the kettle to the Max ll line (1.2 L) with cold water.
• Replace lid with vent holes facing away from the handle.
• Place kettle on base.
• Press the ON/OFF switch down.
• Bring water to a boil, then empty the kettle.
• Allow the appliance to cool down for 1 minute.
• Repeat twice before initial use.

• WashingInstructions
• Remove the kettle from the base.
• Cleantheoutsideofthebaseandthekettle with a damp, soft cloth
or sponge. A bottle brush may be used to clean the interior of
the kettle.
• Clean the inside of the kettle with dish detergent and rinse
thoroughly with water.
• Do not use abrasive cleaners.
• After cleaning, dry the kettle and the base thoroughly.
WARNING: Never immerse the kettle or the base in water or
other liquids.
• Take the lid o of the kettle.
• Use a pair of needle-nosed pliers or similar tool to adjust the
three tabs of the kettle lid. If you push in the tab, the lid tension
will be reduced and easier to put on and take o. If you pull out
the tabs the lid will be harder to pull o.
• After adjusting the tabs, replace the lid and remove it again to
see if the adjustment is correct.
• Repeat the above steps until you have adjusted the lid to your
preference.
• When mineral scale builds up in the kettle, it can aect
temperature consistency and slow down heating time.
• To ensure optimum performance, Brewista recommends
descaling the kettle when mineral build-up is visible inside the
kettle.
Note: Vinegar may not eectively descale the kettle and can be
dicult to thoroughly rinse.Vinegar may also leave behind an odor
that could aect future use.
Brewista recommends using Cafetto™ Descaler.
HowtouseCafetto™Descaler:
• Mix 1 packet Cafetto™ Descaler with 40 oz.
of lukewarm water.
• Pour the solution into the kettle.
• Bring the solution to a boil.
• Let the vessel cool for 15 minutes, then
discard the solution.
• Rinse thoroughly with fresh water.

• Turn the top rim of the kettle’s lid counter-clockwise to remove
and set aside in a safe place.
• Pull out the temperature gauge.
• Replace with a new temperature gauge and re-assemble
the lid.
• UsingtheKettle
• Removethelid.
• FillthekettleabovetheMinlllineandbelowtheMaxllline
(1.2 L) with cold water.
• Replace lid with vent holes facing away from the handle.
• Placekettleonbase.
• PresstheOn/Oswitchdown.
• Bring water to the desired temperature as displayed on the
temperature gauge.
