Generalidades
• Lea este manual atentamente y guárdelo para
consultas futuras.
• Use el hervidor de acuerdo con las instrucciones
contenidas en este manual.
• El hervidor no ha sido diseñado para ser utilizado por
personas (incluyendo niños) con discapacidades físicas,
sensoriales ni mentales o por personas que no cuentan
con la experiencia ni los conocimientos necesarios acerca
de su uso, a menos que se encuentren supervisadas
por una persona responsable de su seguridad o hayan
recibido las instrucciones de seguridad necesarias
• Si hay niños cerca cuando el hervidor está en uso, es
necesario supervisarlos para evitar que jueguen con el
aparato.
• Cualquier tipo de reparaciones deben ser realizadas
por personal técnico calicado. Los usuarios no deben
intentar reparar el hervidor.
Electricidad y calor
• Antes de usar el hervidor por primera vez, verique que
el voltaje de la red corresponda al voltaje indicado en la
placa de identicación.
• Asegúrese de enchufar el hervidor en un tomacorriente
con conexión a tierra.
• Siempre desenchufe el hervidor del tomacorriente
antes de moverlo y cuando no esté en uso.
• No tire del cable eléctrico para desenchufar el aparato;
tome el enchufe y retírelo del tomacorriente.
• Revise frecuentemente el cable eléctrico para
asegurarse de que no esté dañado. No use el hervidor si
el cable está dañado. Si se daña, diríjase a un centro de
servicio técnico para que sea reemplazado por personal
técnico debidamente capacitado.
• Algunas piezas del hervidor se pueden calentar cuando
está en uso. No toque las piezas para evitar quemaduras.
• El hervidor necesita contar con espacio suciente
para disipar el calor, evitando así el riesgo de incendio.
Asegúrese de que el hervidor disponga de espacio
suciente a su alrededor y no esté en contacto con
materiales inamables. No lo cubra.
• Asegúrese de que el hervidor, el cable y el enchufe
no estén en contacto con supercies calientes, p.ej.,
quemadores o llamas abiertas.
• Asegúrese de que el hervidor, el cable y el enchufe no
estén en contacto con el agua.
Durante el Uso
• No use el hervidor en exteriores.
• Coloque el hervidor sobre una supercie plana y
estable.
• Siempre desenchufe el hervidor después de usarlo y
antes de limpiarlo.
• Evite que el cable eléctrico cuelgue sobre el borde de
las mesas o mesones.
• Asegúrese de tener las manos secas antes de tocar el
hervidor, el cable eléctrico o el enchufe.
• No use el hervidor en lugares húmedos.
• No sumerja el hervidor, enchufe o el cable eléctrico en
agua ni en otros líquidos.
• No recoja el hervidor si cae dentro del agua.
Desenchúfelo inmediatamente del tomacorriente y no
vuelva a usarlo.
• Sólo use la base incluida con el hervidor. No use la base
para otros nes.
• Retire el hervidor de la base y llénelo con agua de la
llave. No llene el hervidor sobre la capacidad máxima.
• No encienda el hervidor antes de llenarlo con agua.
Llénelo sólo con agua fría.
• La tapa del hervidor debe permanecer cerrada
mientras se encuentra en uso.
• No abra la tapa cuando el agua aún está hirviendo.
• Use el hervidor sólo para hervir o calentar agua. No use
el hervidor para calentar otro tipo de líquidos.
• Llene el hervidor con al menos 0,5 litros de agua.
• Deje enfriar el hervidor a temperatura ambiente antes
de guardarlo.
• El hervidor no se puede usar con un timer externo o
con un sistema de control remoto.
Operación
El hervidor ha sido diseñado sólo para uso domestico, no
para uso profesional.

Antes de usar el hervidor por primera vez
Antes de usar el hervidor por primera vez, retire posibles
residuos acumulados durante el proceso de fabricación
haciéndolo hervir 3 veces a su capacidad máxima.
Elimine el agua.
Sugerencia: Si desea puede usar vinagre o un producto
anti-sarro para limpiarlo.
Instrucciones de Uso
1. Gire el hervidor de manera que la boca quede alejada
de la dirección donde usted se encuentra.
2. Levante el mango de la tapa (3).
3. Llene el hervidor con la cantidad de agua necesaria
(mínimo 0,5 litros / máximo 1,7 litros). No llene el
hervidor sobre la capacidad ´máxima’, de lo contrario,
puede salpicar agua caliente.
ATENCION
Asegúrese de no botar agua sobre la base del hervidor.
4. Coloque la tapa nuevamente.
5. Coloque el hervidor sobre la base eléctrica y enchufe
el cable eléctrico al tomacorriente. Presione el Switch
de Encendido / Apagado. El indicador de encendido se
iluminará.
6. El hervidor se encuentra encendido y el agua comenzará
a calentarse; se desconectará automáticamente después
de transcurridos algunos segundos de que el agua haya
comenzado a hervir. El indicador de encendido se
apagará.
7. Tome el hervidor del mango y vierta el agua.
ATENCION
Evite estar en contacto con el agua caliente ya que puede
causar graves quemaduras.
8. Si sólo desea calentar agua (no hervir), puede
desconectar el hervidor en cualquier momento.
9. Desenchufe el cable eléctrico del tomacorriente una
vez que haya terminado de usar el hervidor.
Protección de Seguridad
El hervidor cuenta con un sistema de protección en caso
de sobrecalentamiento que lo desconectará cuando no
contiene agua suciente. Si el sistema se activa, deje que
el hervidor se enfríe unos 10 minutos antes de volver a
usarlo.
Limpieza y Cuidado
• Desenchufe el hervidor del tomacorriente y déjelo
enfriar.
• Limpie el hervidor con un paño húmedo. No lo sumerja
en agua ni lo coloque dentro de un lavavajillas. Asegúrese
de que las conexiones eléctricas no se humedezcan.
• Si el interior del hervidor se ha decolorado
signicativamente, la mejor manera de limpiarlo es
usando un paño húmedo y bicarbonato. Después de
limpiarlo, enjuáguelo bien.
ATENCION
• No use limpiadores corrosivos o abrasivos ni objetos
punzantes (cuchillos o escobillas duras) para limpiar el
hervidor.
• Antes de limpiarlo, asegúrese de que el hervidor está
desenchufado y frio.
Antisarro
El hervidor cuenta con un elemento de calor integrado
que evita la formación de sarro. Por lo tanto, no es
necesario eliminar el sarro acumulado.
Sin embargo, si desea eliminar el sarro:
1. Desenchufe el cable eléctrico del tomacorriente y deje
que el hervidor se enfríe.
2. El hervidor cuenta con un ltro anti-sarro. Retire el
ltro para limpiarlo.
3. Llene el hervidor con una solución de vinagre y agua
hasta el nivel MAX y hágalo hervir.
4. Deje el hervidor reposar con la solución de vinagre por
un par de horas.
5. Vacíe la mezcla de vinagre y agua y llene nuevamente
con agua limpia hasta el nivel Máximo y hierva el agua.
Vacíe el contenido y repita dos veces este mismo
proceso.
• No utilice amoníaco ni otros productos para eliminar
el sarro ya que pueden ser dañinos para la salud de los
usuarios. Sólo use una solución de vinagre o productos
anti-sarro especiales disponibles en el mercado.

Safety instructions
General
• Please read these instructions carefully and retain
them for reference.
• Use this appliance solely in accordance with these
instructions.
• This appliance is not intended for use by persons
(including children) with reduced physical sensory or
mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge,
unless they have been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible
for their safety.
• Children should be supervised to ensure that they do
not play with the appliance.
• Have any repairs carried out solely by a qualied
electrician. Never try to repair the appliance yourself.
Electricity and heat
• Before use please verify that the mains voltage is the
same as indicated on the rating plate of the appliance.
• Make sure that you always use an earthed wall socket
to connect the appliance.
• Always remove the plug from the mains socket before
moving the appliance and when the appliance is not in
use.
• Remove the plug from the wall socket by pulling the
plug, not the power cord.
• Check the appliance’s power cord regularly to make
sure it is not damaged. Do not use the appliance if the
power cord is damaged. Have a damaged power cord
replaced by a qualied repair service.
• Certain parts of the appliance may get hot. Do not
touch these parts to prevent burning yourself.
• The appliance needs space to allow heat to escape,
thereby preventing the risk of re. Make sure that the
appliance has sucient space around it, and does not
come in contact with ammable material. The appliance
must not be covered.
• Make sure that the appliance, the power cord or the
plug do not make contact with hot services, such as a hot
hob or naked ame.
• Make sure that the appliance, the power cord and plug
do not make contact with water.
During use
• Never use the appliance outdoors.
• Place the appliance on a at, stable surface.
• Always remove the plug from the wall socket after use,
and before cleaning the appliance.
• Never allow the power cord to hang over the edge of
the draining board, worktop or table.
• Make sure that your hands are dry before touching the
appliance, power cord or plug.
• Never use the appliance in a humid room.
• Never immerse the appliance, the plug or the power
cord in water or other liquid.
• Do not pick up the appliance if it falls into water.
Remove the plug from the wall socket immediately and
do not use the appliance any more.
• Use solely the base supplied with the jug kettle. Never
use the base for other purposes.
• Remove the jug from the base, and ll with water from
the tap. Never ll the jug above the ‘max’ level.
• Do not switch on the appliance before you have lled it
with water. Fill only with cold water.
• The jug’s lid must remain securely closed whilst the
appliance is in use.
• Never open the lid when the water is still boiling.
• Use the appliance only to boil or heat water. Never use
it for other liquids!
• Fill the jug kettle with at least 0,5 litre of water.
• Allow the appliance to cool to room temperature
before storage
• This appliance may not be used through an external
timer or by means of a remote control.

The appliance is intended only for domestic use, not for
professional use.

Before use for the rst time
Before rst use, remove possible manufacturing process
residues by boiling 3 full kettles of water. Dispose this
water.
Tip: You can use vinegar or special descaling agents for
the rst time.
Use
1. Turn the jug so that the spout faces away from you.
2. Pull up the lid handle (3).
3. Fill the jug with the required quantity of water (at
least 0,5 litres, and a maximum of 1,7 litres). Never ll the
water boiler over the “max”. Otherwise the hot water can
spatter out of the base.
ATTENTION
Make sure that you do not spill any water on the base.
4. Pull up the lid handle to open the lid.
5. Place the jug on the base, and insert the plug in the
wall socket. Push down the on/o switch. The on/o
pilot light will illuminate.
6. The jug kettle is now switched on, and the water
will now begin to heat. The jug kettle switches o
automatically a few seconds after the water has come to
the boil. The on/o pilot light will now extinguish.
7. Remove the jug from the base by the handle, and pour
the water out.
ATTENTION
Be carefully you do not contact the hot water. It can
cause serious burning wounds
8. When you wish to heat the water without it coming
to the boil you can switch o the jug kettle at any time
you require.
9. Remove the plug from the wall socket when you have
nished using the jug kettle.
Overheating safeguard
The jug kettle is tted with an overheating safeguard.
This will switch o the jug kettle if it is operated without
(sucient) water. Allow the jug kettle to cool down for at
least 10 minutes before using it again.
Cleaning and maintenance
• Remove the plug from the wall socket, and allow the
appliance to cool.
• Clean the jug with a damp cloth. Never immerse
the appliance in water. Never put the appliance in a
dishwasher. Make sure that the electrical connections do
not become damp.
• If the interior of the jug has become severely
discoloured, then the best way to clean it is with a damp
cloth and a little washing soda. After cleaning, rinse the
jug very thoroughly.
ATTENTION
• Never use corrosive or scouring cleaning agents or
sharp objects (such as knives or hard brushes) to clean
the appliance.
• Before cleaning, make sure that the appliance is not
connected to the power supply and that it has cooled
down.
Descaling
This appliance is equipped with an integral heating
element, and consequently limescale will not be formed.
Consequently you do not need to descaled the appliance.
However, if you nevertheless do wish to descale the
appliance:
1. Remove the plug from the wall socket, and allow the
appliance to cool.
2. The jug kettle is tted with a descaling lter. This lter
must be removed for cleaning.
3. Fill the jug with a vinegar solution to the MAX level, and
bring to the boil.
4. Leave the jug with the vinegar solution to stand for a
couple of hours.
5. Empty the jug, ll with clean water to the MAX level,
and bring to the boil. Empty the jug. Repeat this process
twice.
• Never use ammonia or other products to descale the
appliance. These can be injurious to your health. Use
solely a vinegar solution, or special descaling agents
available from retailers.
