WARNINGS:
Turn power off before installation, inspection, or removal.
Use all necessary precautions while performing this procedure.
Ceiling fan assembly must meet the following requirements:
Do not use with solid state fans.
Electrical rating: 120V, 60Hz, 3.5A, Max motor amps: 1.0
TO REDUCE THE RISK OF ELECTRICAL SHOCK, THIS FAN MUST BE
INSTALLED WITH A WALL CONTROL/SWITCH.
GENERAL: All electrical connections must be in accordance with local and
National Electrical Code (N.E.C.) standards. If you are unfamiliar with proper
electrical wiring connections, contact and obtain the services of a
qualified electrician. Use UL or IEC approved wire only for
input/output connections.
Remove fixture and mounting components from the box, and make sure that
no parts are missing by referencing the illustration in the installation instructions.

4Install the receiver in fan: SHUT OFF MAIN ELECTRICAL SUPPLY FROM THE
MAIN FUSE BOX/CIRCUIT BREAKER!
Remove the ceiling fan CANOPY from the MOUNTING BRACKET.
Disconnect the existing
wiring between the ceiling fan and the supply wires in the junction box.
5Remove the ceiling fan CANOPY from the MOUNTING BRACKET.
Disconnect the existing wiring between the ceiling fan and the supply
wires in the junction box.
3Set the codes on the receiver: Slide the CODE SWITCHES on the RECEIVER
to the same position as set on the TRANSMITTER (Figure 2). Replace the
battery cover on the TRANSMITTER.
2Slide the CODE SWITCHES to your preference, either in the Up or Down
position. All settings come in the Up position and will need to be adjusted.
Use a small screwdriver or ball point pen to firmly slide the
CODE SWITCHES up or down (Figure 1).
SETTING THE CODES
INSTALLING THE RECEIVER IN CEILING FAN
Make the following wire connections (Fig.3), using the provided WIRE NUTS:
RED OR BLACK RECEIVER WIRE (AC IN L) TO RED OR BLACK SUPPLY WIRE
WHITE RECEIVER WIRE (AC IN N) TO WHITE SUPPLY WIRE
WHITE RECEIVER WIRE (TO MOTOR N) TO WHITE FAN WIRE
BLACK RECEIVER WIRE (TO MOTOR L) TO BLACK FAN WIRE
If necessary, wrap all wire connections in electrical tape to ensure
secure connection.

8Lay the BROWN ANTENNA WIRE on top of the RECEIVER,
and place the RECEIVER onto the MOUNTING BRACKET (Figure 4).
9Attach the ceiling fan CANOPY back onto the MOUNTING BRACKET
(Figure 4).

RECEIVER
This unit has 16 different code combinations. To set the codes, perform the
following steps:
WARNING: HIGH VOLTAGE! SHUT OFF MAIN ELECTRICAL SUPPLY FROM
THE MAIN FUSE BOX/CIRCUIT BREAKER!
• Do not use with solid state fans
• Electrical wires must meet all local and national electrical code requirements
• Supply for fan must be 110/120 volt, 60Hz. Maximum fan motor amps: 1.0,
otherwise power can result in serious injury or death.
Set the codes on the transmitter: Remove the battery cover on the
TRANSMITTER. Press firmly on the arrow to slide the battery cover off.

Install in an accessible area of your home. Screw the transmitter holder into the wall using
the two provided screws. Slide the hand unit into the holder.
11 Operating the buttons on the transmitter panel:
HI key = high fan speed
MED key = medium fan speed
LOW key = low fan speed
OFF key = fan off
12 Installation complete. Your remote now has full control of the fan.
Install 9 volt battery (not included).
To prevent damage to the transmitter, remove battery if not used for an
extended time.
Store transmitter away from excessive heat or humidity.
This remote control unit is equipped with 16 code combinations. In order to
prevent possible interference from or to other remote units such as
garage door openers, car alarm or security system, check that your fan
and light kit do not turn on and off without using your remote. If this
occurs, simply change the code combination on your transmitter and
receiver.

TROUBLESHOOTING:
If fan fails to operate:
• Check the power to the receiver.
• Check fuse/circuit breaker for trips, then check wiring connections.
• Check the battery in the transmitter.
• Ensure that codes are set to the same positions in both the transmitter and receiver.
If fan won’t operate from a distance (20 ft):
• Place the brown antenna wire in a higher position, up through the ceiling / outside the junction box.

Bright33 Products LLC ("Bright33") warrants to the ORIGINAL PURCHASER ("Customer") that this incandescent
fixture, including its light bulb(s) and finish (the "Product"), will be free from defect in the manufacturing of the
Product, under use of the Product as recommended by Bright33 within one (1) year of the manufacturing date (the
"Warranty Period"). If the Product fails due to defect in manufacturing during the Warranty Period, Bright33 will
replace the defective Product or provide a refund, at our discretion.
WHAT IS NOT COVERED?
This warranty does not cover, and Bright33 is not liable for, damage or loss resulting from accident or acts of God,
installation, modification, maintenance or repair of the Product, use of the Product for unintended purpose(s),
failure to use the product in accordance with instructions, use of abrasive or organic solvent cleaners on or with the
Product, or misuse of the Product. Bright33 recommends using a professional electrician for installation or repair of
the Product.

THIS WARRANTY IS THE SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDY OF CUSTOMER FOR ANY CLAIM, DAMAGE OR LOSS
RESULTING FROM ANY DEFECT IN THE MANUFACTURING OF THE PRODUCT. Customer's remedy for any warranty
claim or other claim for damage or loss shall be limited to Customer's return of the Product to Bright33, in compliance
