1. General information
The pool alarm was designed with the use of a progressive intelligent software and technically advanced
sensors – the result is a very effective and at the same time problem-free pool safety solution. The alarm can
detect when a small child falls into the pool, but is designed in a way that eliminates false alarms caused by
wind, rain, filters, floating objects or automated cleaning equipment. The pool alarm has undergone tests
that meet the world’s strictest standards and is now ready for your pool.
The SP – 002 pool alarm can be installed easily in most pools, except pools vanishing edge or endless
pools. Please read the entire manual before starting alarm installation. After reading the manual follow
the individual steps, this will ensure a quick and easy installation process. The purpose of the alarm is to
detect an unattended child falling into the pool. It is not life-saving equipment and is not intended to replace
the supervision of a responsible adult attending to the children at the pool. It is advisable to further secure
the pool with protective fencing, gate, entry alarm, pool cover, etc.
2. Installation
Start your installation by carefully opening the box and checking that it contains all parts of the equipment.

CHOOSING A LOCATION
The location of the alarm is very important for its optimum performance. Please refer to the drawing of
the favourite types of pools with the ideal location for the installation of the alarm, included below. Consider
which type of pool depicted is most similar to yours and start the installation.
●Type A works well for a pool up to 12 x 6 m in size, installed in location 1. For larger pools another
alarm should be added in location 2.
●For type B the alarm should be installed in location 1, for pool sizes 8 m and smaller. For pools larger
than 8 m it may be necessary to install an additional alarm. In this case install the alarm in locations
2 and 3.
●For type C pools 8 m and smaller install the alarm in location 1. For pools larger than 8 m another
alarm should be added in location 2.
●For type D pools 5m and smaller install the alarm in location 1.

1. Test the alarm (A) in the chosen location according to pool drawings included above. The opening of the
sensor tube should be submersed as in the picture and the surface for the installation plate should be even
and smooth. The alarm installation plate (B) should easily fit into the bottom part of the main alarm unit, so
that the sensor tube is pointed directly into the pool at a 90º angle (see Figure 1).
2. After choosing the location for the alarm installation plate (B) mark with a pencil two points for drilling
holes into the surface to which the alarm will be fastened. There are four holes in the installation plate,
choose one hole on the left side and one on the right (see Figure 2).

3. After marking the location, drill the holes using masonry drill bits. !!! CAUTION!!! Use the utmost caution when
using electrical tools near the swimming pool. Make sure that there are no people in the pool at any point
during the installation. After completing each phase of the installation remove all tools from the proximity of
the pool. The depth of the drilled holes should be 4.5 cm (see Figure 3). The easiest way to determine the depth of
the hole is to measure 4.5 cm from the end of the drill bit. Mark the drill bit with a tape. Stop drilling when the tape
is level with the installation surface. Now the depth of the hole should be 4.5 cm. Remove all dust and debris from
the holes. Remove the nuts and washers from the installation anchors (F) and insert the anchors into the drilled holes.
4. Place the installation plate on both the anchors. First place a flat and then a security washers on
the threaded part of the anchor. Finally fasten the plate with two nuts using an adjustable wrench – tighten
the nuts well (see Figure 4).

5. Turn the main alarm unit so that the opening of the sensor tube is pointing up. Remove ALL 11 screws fastening
the water tight cover. Carefully open the cover, lifting it on the side opposite the sensor tube (see Figure 5). Make
sure you do not lose any screws. When batteries are installed, a very loud alarm will sound! Be ready for it and
do not drop the equipment. Insert two NEW 9V long-life alkaline batteries (not included) into the battery brackets
(see Figure 6). Attach the connectors to the batteries. To make the installation easier, place the magnetic key on
the round white protruding surface on the front part of the alarm, marked KEY. Press the RED button at the same
time. A single long tone signal denoting that the alarm is in the swimming mode will sound. A control light located
between the key location and the button will flash red. The alarm is now on but the sound is turned off and can be
handled for three minutes without the siren sounding.
6. Put all wires into the main alarm unit and replace the water tight cover. FIRST insert the semi-circular part at
the back of the cover, under the groove in the sensor tube (see Figure 5). Make sure that the cover is placed and
fitted evenly and then fasten ALL 11 SCREWS.

7. The alarm is now ready to be attached to the installation plate. Simply insert the main alarm unit into
the installation plate. Using a Phillips head screwdriver fasten the installation screws (E) into the installation plate
to secure the main alarm unit (see Figure 7).
8. To ensure proper operation of the alarm, the water level in the pool has to be set and kept constant. The sensor
tube should reach 8 – 5 cm into the water. If the water level rises much higher or lower, the alarm will become
much less effective. Always keep the correct water level. Never block or close the air opening on the back side of
the sensor opening (see Figure 8).

9. Install the remote siren, in a maximum distance of 30 m from the base unit, into your house in a location
where it will be audible all around the house, if the alarm goes off. Turn the remote siren and remove
the screw with a Phillips head. Install a single 9V long-life alkaline battery. Replace the cover. Connect
the remote siren (C) to the outlet adaptor (D). Then place the siren on a horizontal surface or fasten it to the
wall near an electric outlet. Connect the adapter to the outlet (see Figure 9) The siren will sound two short
signals confirming its operation and a red control light will turn on. In the event of a power outage (power
outage or accidental disconnecting) the siren will use the auxiliary battery; one alkaline battery can power
the siren for approximately one hundred hours. In this case the siren will still continue to receive the signal
from the main unit of the alarm and the siren will sound if the alarm goes off. However, we recommend
having the siren connected to the power outlet during day-to-day use. If the battery in the main unit of the
alarm is low, the siren will sound a warning every 8 seconds to signal that the battery needs to be changed. If
the battery in the siren is almost out of power, it will sound an uninterrupted signal, but with low intensity.
10. Turn the filtration system return jets towards the bottom of the pool. It does not affect the circulation
of the water in the pool, on the contrary it helps reduce the consumption of the chemical additives. This
is necessary to ensure maximum level of security during the functioning of the alarm. (See Figure 10)
The installation is now complete. The alarm MUST be tested.

TESTING THE ALARM
To test the alarm, you can make a simple device simulating the size and weight of a small child. See Figure
11 and Figure 12.
Material needed:
• 4 plastic water bottles – 1.5 litre size
• Duct tape
• 2 m of strong rope
Fill the four bottles with water.
Use the duct tape to fasten the bottles firmly together.
Attach the rope tightly to one of the bottles.
Drop the bottles into the pool from a height of 10 cm. The alarm should sound. Use the rope to pull the bottles
from the pool. To ensure maximum protection conduct this test once a week.

USING ALARM
This pool alarm is intended for uninterrupted surveillance of the pool. When you want to swim in the pool
you have to insert the key into the alarm. To switch the alarm to the swimming mode, an adult person must
place the magnetic key in the area on the main unit of the alarm marked KEY and press the red button at
the same time. The alarm will confirm that it has been switched to the swimming mode with a long beep.
he entire time the alarm is in the swimming mode the control light will flash red. In this mode you can use
the pool without setting the alarm off. When all the swimmers have left the pool and the water has calmed
down, the alarm will automatically switch to the protection mode after three minutes have passed from the
time the water has calmed down. A long siren signal will confirm that the alarm is in the active protection
mode again and the green control light on the main unit will flash. Should you want to switch the alarm to
the protection mode right away, wait for the water to calm down and then press the red button on the panel
of the main unit. The alarm will be activated immediately.
When you hear the alarm siren FIRST immediately check if a dangerous situation has not arisen at
the pool. After you resolve the situation, turn off the alarm using the RED button and the device will return to
the protection mode.
LOW BATTERY SIGNAL
The alarm is equipped with low battery signalisation. When the batteries need changing, the alarm beeps
every eight seconds. Changing the batteries is described in point 5 and 6.
WINTERING THE ALARM
When you are covering and closing the pool for the winter, take the main alarm unit from the pool and
remove the batteries. During the winter, store the alarm unit in an interior space. The alarm should be
taken out of the pool as soon as the air temperature starts dropping under 0 ºC. When storing the alarm for
the winter remove the batteries from the main unit and from the remote siren. The device could get damaged
by frozen water. The warranty does not cover damage caused by freezing.

SAFETY GUIDELINES
1. It is vital that you react quickly when the alarm sounds, because drowning can occur within three
minutes.
2. Never leave children unattended in the proximity of the pool.
3. After installation, the alarm must be tested once a week to make sure that it is in proper operating
condition.
4. The safety of the pool is always increased by safety barriers. Around the pool there always should be
a safety fence with a gate equipped with a door alarm, to make sure that the attending person is informed
in time about an entry to the pool area.
5. The alarm must be installed in a location where the sound signal will be clearly audible.
6. Always keep the proper water level in the pool, because both low and high water level can set off false
alarm or cause the alarm not to register a fall into the pool.
7. Always be ready to deal with an emergency situation should it occur. Have an action plan ready; keep
a working phone near the pool. To best avoid emergencies, please adhere to the following basic safety
rules:
●Always keep the water in the pool clean and transparent. In a pool with green water (as a result of improper
maintenance), a child or an adult who falls into the water and is on the bottom of the pool, may not be
always visible. This can make the rescue take longer and precious seconds can be lost. A situation like this
can be very dangerous.
●Children must always be supervised when in the proximity of the pool.
●When there are more adults or children in the pool the supervision must be more thorough.
●Teach your children to swim as soon as possible.
●Do not allow children who do not know how to swim to enter the pool without a life jacket.
●Always keep the water in the pool clean and transparent so you can see all the objects on the bottom of
the pool.
●Learn rescue and resuscitation techniques, especially for small children.
●Never leave floating toys or other object in an unsupervised pool. They can attract children into the pool.
●Do not allow children to run around the pool.
●Keep the pool chemicals out of the reach of children.
●When the water temperature drops below 0 ºC, the alarm must be taken out of the water so it does not get
damaged.

1. Allgemeine Informationen

Lösung der Poolsicherung. Die Anlage spricht auf das Fallen eines kleinen Kindes in das Schwimmbecken
an, wobei sie so konstruiert ist, dass es nicht zu belästigenden falschen Alarmen durch Wind, Regen, Filter,
schwimmende Gegenstände oder automatische Beckenreiniger kommt. Die Schwimmbecken-Alarmanlage
hat Prüfungen nach den strengsten Weltnormen bestanden und ist jetzt für Ihren Swimmingpool bereit.
Die Schwimmbecken-Alarmanlage SP – 002 lässt sich bei den meisten Schwimmbecken einfach installieren,
mit Ausnahme jener mit einem sanft übergehenden Beckenrand oder bei unendlichen Becken. Lesen Sie
bitte die gesamte Anleitung noch vor Beginn der Installation der Alarmanlage. Gehen Sie dann nach den
einzelnen Schritten vor, was Ihnen einen schnellen und einfachen Installationsablauf gewährleistet. Aufgabe
der Alarmanlage ist es, ein Hineinfallen in das Schwimmbecken ohne Aufsicht anzuzeigen. Es handelt sich
um eine lebens¬rettende Anlage, die jedoch nicht die Aufsicht verantwortlicher Erwachsener über Kinder
am Schwimmbecken ersetzen sollte. Wir empfehlen, den Swimmingpool mit Schutzeinrichtungen wie
Eingangspforte, Eingangsalarm, Beckenüberdachung usw. zu schützen.
2. Installation
Beginnen Sie mit der Installation, indem Sie vorsichtig den Karton auspacken und überprüfen, ob er alle
Bestandteile der Anlage enthält.

WAHL DER ANORDNUNG
Die Anordnung der Alarmanlage ist wichtig, damit sie ihre optimale Leistung erbringen kann. Weiter unten
zeigt eine Zeichnung die beliebtesten Beckentypen mit den idealen Installationsstellen für die Alarmanlage.
Überlegen Sie, welcher Typ am stärksten Ihrem Swimmingpool ähnelt und gehen Sie dann zur Installation
über.
●Bei Typ A arbeitet die an der Stelle 1 angebrachte Alarmanlage wirksam bei Becken bis zur Größe
12 x 6 Meter. Bei größeren Becken sollte an der Stelle 2 eine zweite Alarmanlage hinzugefügt werden.
●Bei Typ B ist die Alarmanlage an der Stelle 1 zu installieren, wenn das Becken eine Größe bis zu
8 Metern hat. Bei größeren Becken als 8 m ist eine zweite Alarmanlage anzubringen. Bringen Sie in
diesem Fall die Alarmanlagen an den Stellen 2 und 3 an.
●Bei Typ C ist bei Becken bis zur Größe von 8 m an der Stelle 1 zu installieren. Bei größeren Becken
als 8 m ist eine zweite Alarmanlage an der Stelle 2 hinzuzufügen.
●Bei Typ D ist bei Becken bis zur Größe von 5 m an der Stelle 1 zu installieren.

1. Stellen Sie die Alarmanlage (A) probeweise an der nach den vorgenannten Beckentypen gewählten Stelle
auf. Das Endstück des Sensorrohrs sollte sich wie auf der Abbildung im Wasser befinden und die Fläche zum
Anbringen der Installationsplatte muss gerade und glatt sein. Die Installationsplatte der Alarmanlage (B)
sollte leicht in die Unterseite des Hauptkörpers einrasten, so dass das Sensorrohr im Winkel von 90° direkt
ins Becken weist (siehe Abb. 1)
2. P Nach Auswahl der Befestigungsstelle für die Installationsplatte (B) markieren Sie mit einem Bleistift die
beiden Punkte für die Bohrlöcher, mit deren Hilfe die Alarmanlage befestigt wird. In der Installationsplatte
befinden sich 4 Bohrungen, wählen Sie eine Bohrung auf der linken Seite und eine Bohrung auf der rechten
Seite aus (siehe Abb. 2).

3. Führen Sie nach dem Anreißen der Bohrlöcher mit einem Steinbohrer zwei Bohrungen aus. ACHTUNG!!
Seien Sie bei der Benutzung von Bohrmaschinen am Schwimmbecken sehr vor¬sichtig. Achten Sie darauf,
dass sich in keiner Phase der Installation im Schwimmbecken Personen befinden. Entfernen Sie nach
Beendigung der entsprechenden Phase unverzüg¬lich alle elektrischen Werkzeuge aus der Umgebung
des Schwimmbeckens. Die Bohrlöcher sind mit einer Tiefe von 4,5 cm zu bohren (Abb. 3). Die Tiefe stellen
Sie am einfachsten fest, indem Sie 4,5 cm von der Bohrerspitze abmessen. Dann markieren Sie die gemessene
Stelle mit Klebeband. Beenden Sie das Bohren, sobald sich das Klebeband auf Höhe der Befestigungs¬fläche
befindet. Jetzt müsste das Bohrloch 4,5 cm tief sein. Entfernen Sie aus den Bohrlöchern sämtlichen Staub und
Schmutz. Entfernen Sie von den Befestigungsankern (F) die Muttern und Unterlegscheiben und schieben Sie
die Befestigungsanker in die Bohrlöcher.
4. Legen Sie die Installationsplatte auf beide Anker. Legen Sie auf die Anker je eine flache Unterlegscheibe
und dann die Sicherungsringe. Schrauben Sie schließlich die beiden Muttern auf die Befestigungsanker und
ziehen Sie diese mit einem Schraubenschlüssel oder einer Rohrzange vollständig fest (siehe Abb. 4).

5. Drehen Sie den Hauptkörper der Alarmanlage so, dass das Endstück des Sensorrohrs nach oben weist.
Lösen Sie ALLE 11 Schrauben, die den wasserdichten Deckel halten. Klappen Sie den Deckel vorsichtig
ab, indem Sie ihn an der dem Sensorrohr gegenüber liegenden Seite anheben (siehe Abb. 5). Achten Sie
darauf, dass Sie keine Schrauben verlieren. Sobald die Batterien eingelegt sind, ertönt ein sehr lauter Alarm!
Seien Sie darauf vorbereitet und lassen Sie die Alarmanlage nicht fallen! Schieben Sie nun zwei NEUE
9V Alkalibatterien mit langer Lebensdauer (kein Lieferbestandteil) in den Batteriehalter (siehe Abb. 6).
Schließen Sie dann die Batterien an die Batteriestecker an. Um die Installation zu vereinfachen, legen
Sie den Magnetschlüssel auf die weiße runde gewölbte Fläche an der Vorderseite der Alarmanlage mit
der Kennzeichnung KEY (Schlüssel). Drücken Sie gleichzeitig die ROTE Taste. Es erklingt ein langer Ton,
der anzeigt, dass die Alarmanlage sich in der Betriebsart Schwimmen befindet. Die Kontrollleuchte zwischen
Schlüsselbereich und Taste blinkt jetzt rot. Die Alarmanlage ist angeschaltet, aber der Ton ist ausgeschaltet
und man kann mit der Alarmanlage drei Minuten manipulieren, bevor die Sirene ertönt.
6. Schieben Sie alle Drähte in den Hauptkörper der Alarmanlage und setzen Sie den wasser¬dichten Deckel
wieder auf. ZUERST schieben Sie den halbrunden Teil an der Deckelrückseite unter den Schlitz am Sensorrohr
(siehe Abb. 5). Überprüfen Sie, ob der Deckel vollständig eingerastet ist und schrauben Sie dann ALLE 11
SCHRAUBEN fest.

auf die Installationsplatte. Schrauben Sie die Befestigungsschrauben (E) mit einem Kreuzschraubenzieher an
der Installationsplatte fest, um den Hauptkörper der Alarmanlage zu befestigen (siehe Abb. 7).
8. Damit die Alarmanlage richtig arbeitet, muss sie entsprechend dem Wasserspiegel im Schwimmbecken
eingestellt werden. Das Sensorrohr sollte 8 bis 5 cm ins Wasser ragen. Sollte der Wasserspiegel zu sehr über
oder unter diesen Stand kommen, würde sich die Wirksamkeit der Alarmanlage stark verringern. Halten
Sie stets den richtigen Wasserspiegel aufrecht. Blockieren oder verstopfen Sie nie die Luftöffnung an der
Rückseite des Sensorrohrs (siehe Abb. 8).
