YourPowerSeriesNeohasbeendesignedtoprovideyouwiththegreatestpossibleflexibilityand
convenience.Readthismanualcarefullyandhaveyourinstallerinstructyouonhowtooperateyour
systemandwhichfeatureshavebeenimplementedinyoursystem.Allusersofthissystemshould
beequallyinstructedinitsuse.Filloutsection17.1"SystemInformation"pagewithallofyour
zoneinformationandaccesscodesandstorethismanualinasafeplaceforfuturereference.
Note:ThePowerSeriesNeosecuritysystemincludesspecificfalsealarmreductionfeaturesandis
classifiedinaccordancewithANSI/SIACP-01-2010ControlPanelStandard-FeaturesforFalse
AlarmReduction.Pleaseconsultyourinstallerforfurtherinformationregardingthefalsealarm
reductionfeaturesbuiltintoyoursystemasallarenotcoveredinthismanual.
3.1 General System Operation
YoursecuritysystemismadeupofaPowerSeriesNeocontrolpanel,oneormorekeypadsandvari-
oussensorsanddetectors.Thecontrolpanelwillbemountedoutofthewayinautilityclosetorin
abasement.Themetalcabinetcontainsthesystemelectronics,fusesandstandbybattery.
Allthekeypadshaveanaudibleindicatorandcommandentrykeys.LEDkeypadshaveagroupof
zoneandsystemstatuslights.LCDkeypadshaveanalphanumericliquidcrystaldisplay(LCD).
Thekeypadisusedtosendcommandstothesystemandtodisplaythecurrentsystemstatus.The
keypad(s)willbemountedinaconvenientlocationinsidetheprotectedpremisesclosetothe
entry/exitdoor(s).
Thesecuritysystemhasseveralzonesofareaprotectionandeachofthesezonesisconnectedto
oneormoresensors(motiondetectors,glassbreakdetectors,doorcontacts,etc.).Asensorinalarm
isindicatedbythecorrespondingzonelightsflashingonanLEDkeypadorbymessagesonthe
LCDkeypad.

3.2 Testing your System
TestsallsystemkeypadLED’s,keypadsounders,bellsand/orsirens.
Toensurethatyoursystemcontinuestofunctionasintended,youmusttestyoursystemweekly.
IMPORTANT:ForULHOMEHEALTHCARElistedapplicationsthesystemshallalsobe
testedweeklywithoutACpower.ToremoveACfromthecontrolunit,removethescrewfromthe
restrainingtabofthepluginadapterandremovetheadapterfromACoutlet.Aftercompletingthe
testoftheunitusingonlythebatterybackupsource,reconnectthepluginadapterandattachthe
screwthroughtherestrainingtabsothattheadapterissecurelyattachedtotheoutlet.
IMPORTANT:Shouldyoursystemfailtofunctionproperlycontactyourinstallationcompany
immediately.
IMPORTANT:Allsmokedetectorsmustbetestedbyyoursmokedetectorinstalleronceperyear
toensureproperoperation.

3.3 Monitoring
Thissystemiscapableoftransmittingalarms,troubles&emergencyinformationtoacentralsta-
tion.Ifyouinitiateanalarmbymistake,immediatelycallthecentralstationtopreventanunne-
cessaryresponse.
Note:ForCP-01systems,themonitoringfunctionmustbeenabledbytheinstallerbeforeit
becomesfunctional.Thereisacommunicatordelayof30secondsinthiscontrolpanel.Itcanbe
removed,oritcanbeincreasedupto45seconds,attheoptionoftheend-userbyconsultingwith
theinstaller.
3.4 Maintenance
Withnormaluse,thesystemrequiresminimummaintenance.Notethefollowingpoints:
lDonotwashthesecurityequipmentwithawetcloth.Lightdustingwithaslightly
moistenedclothshouldremovenormalaccumulationsofdust.
lUsethesystemtestdescribedin“TestingYourSystem”tocheckthebatterycondition.
Werecommend,however,thatthestandbybatteriesbereplacedevery3-5years.
lForothersystemdevicessuchassmokedetectors,passiveinfrared,ultrasonicor
microwavemotiondetectorsorglassbreakdetectors,consultthemanufacturer’sliterature
fortestingandmaintenanceinstructions.

endoftheexitdelay,theexitdelaytimerestarts.Theexitdelaytimercanonlyberestartedonce.
4.3 Alarm Cancel Window
Thecontrolpanelprovidesaperiodoftimeinwhichtheusercancancelthealarmtransmission.
Theminimumdurationofthistimeisfiveminutes.
Iftheprogrammedalarmtransmissiondelayhasexpired,cancelinganalarmsendsamessagetothe
monitoringstation.Uponasuccessfultransmissionofthecancellationmessagethekeypadwillbeep
6times.

6.6 System Lockout due to Invalid Attempts
Iftoomanyinvalidaccesscodesareentered,yoursystemcanbeconfiguredtoautomaticallylock

ation.Whenanykeysarepressed,anerrortonewillsound.FMPkeysarestillactiveduring
KeypadLockout.
