2.0 OPERATION CONTROLS AND FUNCTIONS
2.1 Front Panel
1. POWER: Press this button to power on the unit or place it into
stand-bymode.
2. POWERLED:
a. Power on: LED will illuminate solid green.
b.Stand-bymode: LED willilluminate solid red.Telnet,RS-232
and WebGUI remain active in stand-by mode.
3. IR Window:AcceptsIR signals fromthe includedIR remote for
control of this unit only.
4. MENU: Press to enter the OSD menu, or to back out from
menu items.
5. ENTER: Press to confirm a selection or to go deeper into a
menuitem.
6. DOWN:Presstomove down within menus or to decrease
volume.
7, UP: Press to move up within menus or to increase volume.
8. SOURCE:Press to sequentiallyswitch through the available
inputs(HDMI, VGA andDisplayPort).
9. DP: When the selected input source is DisplayPort this LED
willilluminate solid green.
10. HDMI: When the selected input source is HDMI this LED will
illuminatesolid green.
11. VGA: When the selected input source is VGA this LED will
illuminatesolid green.

Thefollowing hotkeyfunctions are alsoavailable:
1. AutoAdjust(onlyfor VGAINfunction): Pressthe ENTERbutton
when the OSD menu is not active and the input source is VGA
to execute the auto adjust function. The image will be
automatically adjusted to the optimal aspect ratio.
2. Factory Reset: Press and hold the MENU button when
connectingthe power supplyto force afactory reset of theunit.
3. XGAoutput: PresstheMENU and “+”buttons at thesame time
to set the output resolution to XGA.
4. 720poutput: Press the MENUand “-” buttons atthe same time
to set the output resolution to 720p60.
5. 720poutput(alternate): PressandholdtheENTERbuttonwhen
connecting the power supply to set the output resolution to
720p59.
6. FirmwareUpdate:Afirmwareupdate canbe performedvia
WebGUI,telnetandRS-232command. Itcanalsobeperformed
byholding the POWER button when connectingthe power
supply.

2.2 Rear Panel
1. HDMI OUT:Connect to HDMITVs, monitors oramplifiers for
digitalvideo andaudio output.
2. AUDIO OUT:Connect topowered speakers oran amplifier for
stereoanalog audio output.
3. DP IN:Connect toDisplayPort sourceequipment such asa PC
orlaptop.
4. HDMI IN:Connect to HDMIsource equipment suchas amedia
player, game console or set-top box.
5. VGA IN: Connect to VGA source equipment such as a PC or
laptop.
6. AUDIO IN:Connect to the stereo analog outputof the device
connected to the VGA input port.
7. SERVICE:This slotis reserved for firmwareupdateuse only.
Please plug a USB thumb drive into this slot to update the
firmware.
8, CONTROL: Connect directly, or through a network switch, to
yourPC/laptop to control the unit viatelnet/WebGUI.
9. RS-232: Connectdirectlyto your PC/laptop to send RS-232
commands to control the unit.
10. DC5V:Plug the5V DCpower adapterinto theunit andconnect
it to anAC wall outlet for power.

3.0 WEBGUI
Install the IP Discovery Tool:
(1) Please obtain the Device Discovery software from your
authorizeddealerand saveit ina directorywhere youcan easily
find it.
(2) Connect the unit and your PC/Laptop to the same active
network and execute the Device Discovery software. Click on
“FindDevices” onNetworkdyour PC/Laptop tothe same active
networkand executethe Device Discoverysoftware.
(3)By clickingon one ofthe listeddevices you willbe presented
withthe network details of thatparticular device. If you choose,
you can alter the static IP network settings for the device, or
switch the unit into DHCP mode to automatically obtain proper
network settings from a local DHCP server.To switch to DHCP
mode, please select DHCP from the IP mode drop-down, then
click“Save” followedby “Reboot”.

(4)Once youare satisfiedwith thenetworksettings, rebootunit,
then you may use them to connect via Telnet or WebGUI. The
networkinformationwindow providesaconvenient linktolaunch
theWebGUI directly.
3.1 WebGUI Control Page
All functions, including power, 4KUHD Bypass input selection,
EDID management, HDCP management, output adjustments,
OSDsettings,Ethernetsettings,volumeadjustments,andreset/
firmwarefunctions, arepresented ona singleweb pagetoallow
forintuitiveoperation. Theindividual functionswill beintroduced
in the following sections.

3.2 Power On/Off
The unit can be powered on or off (placed into stand-by mode)
from this tab.
3.3UHD 4K Bypass
The UHD 4K bypass input is able to be selected bypass or
down scale. Please select the bypass “On” to remain 4K UHD
inputor “Off” fordown scale.

3.4 Input Source Selection and Auto Source Detection
(a) Source: The input source can be selected here. Four input
sourceoptionsareavailable:HDMI,DisplayPort,VGAandDefault
(HDMI is the normal default input. This can be changed via the
WebGUI,RS-232 ortelnet).
(b) Auto Source: When set to “DETECT ON” the unit will
automatically switch to the most recently connected live input
source.If the currentlylive source disconnects thenthe unit will
automatically search for another live input source. To disable
thisfunction select “DETECT OFF”.

3.5 EDID & HDCP Settings
(a)EDID:FourEDIDoptionsareavailable:Internal4K2K,Internal
1080p,External TV (EDIDis copied fromthe connected display
device)andExternalTV+2ch(EDIDiscopied fromtheconnected
display device but the audio is set to LPCM 2.0).
(b) HDCP: HDCP support can be enabled, disabled or set to
followthe capability of the connected displaydevice.
3.6 Status Information
This tab displays the current input/output status and the unit’s
firmwarerevision.

3.7 Display Settings
The output timing, aspect ratio, and other video processing
functions can be configured in this tab.
(a)Output: The preferred outputtiming can be selectedhere.
SelectingNATIVEwillusethenative timingreportedbythe EDID
ofthe connected display device.
(b)Aspect:Thefollowingoutputaspect ratiosareavailable:FULL
(expandthe source tofill the output resolutionregardless of the
originalaspectratio),16:9,16:10,4:3andKEEPRATIO(maintain
theaspect ratioof the sourcerelative to theaspect of theoutput
resolution).

(c)Contrast,Brightness, Saturation,Hueand Sharpness:These
settings control the image quality of the output. Each setting
canbe adjusted from 0 to 100based on user preference.
3.8 OSD Settings
This tab allows for the control and adjustment of all available
OSD(OnScreenDisplay)settings.TheOSD InformationDisplay
canbe turned onor off. Thedisplay time for theMain Menu and
InfoMenucan besetwith arangebetween5and 45seconds,or
they can be set to “infinite” by setting the time to OFF. The H/V
position and transparency settings for the Main Menu can also
beadjusted.

3.9 Ethernet Settings
The unit’s Ethernet settings are configured in this tab. The IP
connection timeout can be set to a time between 10 and 60
minutes, or it can be disabled (OFF). The IP address can be
configured by your network automatically (DHCP) or the unit’s
IPsettingscan be manually configured (STATIC).After making
changes to the IP configuration, or changing IP Modes please
click “Apply” to activate your changes.
Note:If theIP address ischanged then theIP addressrequired
for WebGUI or telnet access will also change accordingly.
Consult the OSD to view the current IPsettings if necessary.
3.10 Audio Settings
(a)Sound:This settingallowsyou tomuteaudio fromthecurrent
input.
(b)Volume:The audio volumecanbe adjusted from 0 to100.

3.11Reset Options
Thistab provides optionsfor returning the Display,Audio,OSD
and Ethernet settings to their individual factory defaults. It also
allowsyou to perform a system-wide FactoryReset (returns all
settings to the factory defaults).
3.12 Setup
To update thefirmwareof the unit,please click onthe Firmware
Updatebutton and followthe on-screen prompts.

4.0 TELNET/RS-232 CONTROL
Beforeattempting to usetelnet control, pleaseensure that both
the unit and the PC/Laptop are connected to the same active
networks.
To access Telnet in Windows 7, click on the “Start” menu and
type “cmd” in the search field, then press “Enter”.
Under Windows XP go to the “Start” menu, click on “Run”, type
“cmd”then press “Enter”.
UnderMac OS X,go to Go’!Applications’!Utilities’!Terminal
Seebelowfor reference.
Onceinthe CLI(Command LineInterface) type“telnet” followed
by the IP address of the unit and “23”, then hit “Enter”.

Thiswill connectusto theunitwe wishtocontrol.Type “help”or
“?” to list the available commands.
Note: Commands will not be executed unless followed by a
carriage return. Commands are case-insensitive. If the IP is
changed then the IP Address required for Telnet access will
alsochange accordingly.

open a web browser and type device’s IP address on the web
address entry bar. A security page will appear to ask for User
andPassword,please keyin“Admin” forbothand click Submit
toenter.
