National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), and the American Society for Heating,
RefrigerationandAirConditioningEngineers(ASHRAE),and the localcodeauthorities.
5. When cutting or drilling into wall or ceiling, do not damage electrical wiring and other
hiddenutilities.
6. Ductedfans mustalways be ventedto theoutdoors.
7. Donot usethis unitwith anyseparate solid-statespeed controldevice.
8. Toreduce the riskof fire,use only metalductwork.

TOREDUCE THERISKOF ARANGE TOPGREASEFIRE:
A. Never leave surface units unattended at high settings. Boilovers cause smoking and
greasyspillovers thatmayignite. Heatoils slowlyon lowormedium settings.
B. Alwaysturnhood ON whencooking at highheat or whenflambeing food (i.e. Crepes
Suzette,Cherries Jubilee,Peppercorn BeefFlambe’).
C. Cleanventilatingfansfrequently.Greaseshouldnotbeallowed to accumulateonfanor
filter.
D. Use proper pan size. Always use cookware appropriate for the size of the surface
element.
