BATTERY PRECAUTIONS
• Dispose of old batteries properly. Do not dispose of old batteries in a fire.
• Do not leave batteries lying around where a young child or pet could
play with or swallow them. If the batteries are swallowed, contact a
physician immediately.
• Batteries may explode if mistreated. Do not attempt to recharge or
disassemble the batteries.
• Use only fresh batteries of required size and type. Do not mix old and
new batteries, different types of batteries, or rechargeable batteries of
different capacities.
SPECIAL NOTE ON BODY COMPOSITION ANALYSIS
This scale uses bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA) technology to calculate
body fat %. This technology works by measuring the resistance (impedance)
of small electrical currents through your body.
When the user’s height and body impedance are known, the scale can accurately
determine total body water (TBW) and fat-free mass (FFM). Fat-free mass is then
subtracted from your total body weight to obtain your body fat mass.
This scale should be used while barefoot. Measurement errors can occur
if weighing while wearing socks or nylon stockings. To avoid slipping,
do not step on the scale with wet feet. Do not use the scale on carpet.
