• DO NOT use jet/pressure washers to clean the appliance.

• This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including

or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been
given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the
appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
• Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play

Installation
• The appliance is not suitable for installation in an area where a water jet could be used.
• Do not place the coffee maker on a highly polished wooden surface as damage may occur to the
surface.

Preparation before first use
BUFFALO recommend that the appliance is cleaned out before using for the first time, or if the appliance
has been sat unused for an extended period of time.
1. Slide the empty filter basket into position between the two basket tabs.
2. Place the jug on the bottom hotplate beneath the basket.
3. Fill the water reservoir with cold water.
Note: Use the jug to fill the reservoir to ensure it’s maximum capacity is not
exceeded. The maximum amount of water the reservoir can contain is 1.8 litres.
If too much water is filled, excess water will drain out through the overflow
pipe.
4. Connect to the mains power supply.
5. Turn the main switch On. The indicator light for bottom hotplate is on.
6. Press the brewing button. The brewing indicator light illuminates and the hot water will begin to fill
the jug.
Note: During operation, steam may rise from the appliance and loud bubbling
noises may be heard. This is perfectly normal.

7. Once finished the brewing indicator light will
switch off. Discard the hot water in the jug.
WARNING: The glass jug
becomes hot during operation.
Always pick up the jug by the
handle to avoid injury.
8. Repeat steps 1-7. The appliance is now ready
for use.
Caution:
• There is 0.5L of water
remaining in the coffee maker
boiler and hoses. Do not tip
over after use. Also ensure to
note this when the appliance
is subject to freezing
temperatures.
• If the appliance is ever
drained down, ensure to
repeat the above preparation
steps.
Making Coffee
1. Place a paper filter inside the filter basket.
Before this ensure the filter support already lies
flat at the bottom of the basket.
2. Measure the required amount of ground coffee
into the filter paper and slide the filter basket
into position.
3. Place the jug on the bottom hotplate beneath
the basket.
4. Fill the water reservoir with cold water.
5. Turn the main switch On. The indicator light
for bottom hotplate is on.
6. Press the brewing button. The brewing
indicator light illuminates and the hot coffee
will begin to fill the jug.
Note: During operation, steam
may rise from the appliance and
loud bubbling noises may be
heard. This is perfectly normal.
7. Once finished the brewing indicator light will
switch off.
WARNING: The glass jug
becomes hot during operation.
Always pick up the jug by the
handle to avoid injury.
8. Leave the jug on the hotplate to keep warm, if
required. Discard the coffee residue and filter
paper from the filter basket.
9. To turn Off the hotplate, turn off the main
switch .
Using the top hotplate
This appliance is fitted with a second hotplate to
keep an additional jug warm. To use:
1. Place the jug on the top hotplate.
2. Turn the power switch on for the top hotplate.
3. Ensure to turn the top hotplate off when not in
use.
WARNING: The surrounding
surface of the hotplate may
become hot. DO NOT touch!
Never heat an empty Jug on the
hotplate, or allow the Jug to run
dry.
WARNING: The power switch
for the bottom hotplate is the
main switch. Ensure to turn it on
before turning the top hotplate
switch on.
Cleaning, Care &
Maintenance
• Always turn off and disconnect the
appliance from the power supply before
cleaning.
• Use soapy water and a damp cloth to clean the
exterior of the appliance.
• Wash the glass jug and filter basket with warm
soapy water.
• Dry thoroughly after cleaning.

Descaling
In hard water areas limescale can build up within the appliance after prolonged use. For best taste and
extended appliance life, descale it regularly. Installation of a water filtration system is also recommended.
BUFFALO recommend descaling your unit every 3 months or more frequently. To descale the appliance:
1. Pour a solution of descaler and water into the reservoir.
Use a suitable descaler and follow the manufacturer’s instructions on the
container.
2. Turn the main switch On and Press the brewing button.
3. After approximately 4 minutes turn the appliance Off to allow the descaling solution to work through
the system.
4. After approximately 10 minutes turn the appliance back On. Allow the reservoir to empty.
5. Discard the solution collected in the jug.
6. Fill the reservoir with clean water and turn the appliance back On to flush out the system and remove
any descaler residue. Discard the collected water and rinse the jug. Repeat with clean water 2 more
times to flush out.
7. The appliance is now ready for use.

Electrical Wiring
This appliance is supplied with a 3 pin BS1363 plug and lead.
The plug is to be connected to a suitable mains socket.
This appliance is wired as follows:
• Live wire (coloured brown) to terminal marked L
• Neutral wire (coloured blue) to terminal marked N
• Earth wire (coloured green/yellow) to terminal marked E
This appliance must be earthed.
If in doubt consult a qualified electrician.
Electrical isolation points must be kept clear of any obstructions. In the event of any emergency
disconnection being required they must be readily accessible.

Veiligheidstips
• Plaatsen op een vlakke en stabiele ondergrond.

servicetechnicus/vaktechnicus uit te voeren. Verwijder geen
componenten of servicepanelen van dit product.

• Gebruik GEEN jet / hogedrukreinigers om het apparaat schoon
te maken.
• Dompel het apparaat NIET onder in water.
• Overvul het waterreservoir niet.
• Zorg ervoor dat het netsnoer nooit de kookplaat raakt.
• Raak GEEN hete oppervlakken aan.
• Raak de kookplaat NIET aan wanneer het apparaat aan staat.

Installatie
• Het apparaat is niet geschikt voor installatie in een gebied waar een waterstraal kan worden gebruikt.
• Plaats het koffiezetapparaat niet op een sterk gepolijst houten oppervlak, omdat de oppervlakte kan

Voorbereiding vóór eerste gebruik
BUFFALO adviseert dat het apparaat wordt schoongemaakt voordat het voor de eerste keer wordt
gebruikt of dat het apparaat lange tijd niet wordt gebruikt.
1. Schuif de lege filtermand op zijn plaats tussen de twee mand tabbladen.
2. Plaats de kruik op de onderste warmhoudplaat onder de mand.
3. Vul het waterreservoir met koud water.
Opmerking: gebruik de kruik om het reservoir te vullen om te zorgen dat de
maximale capaciteit niet wordt overschreden. De maximale hoeveelheid water
die het reservoir kan bevatten, is 1,8 liter. Als er te veel water wordt gevuld,
loopt het overtollige water via de overloopleiding weg.
4. Maak verbinding met de hoofdvoeding.
5. Schakel de hoofdschakelaar in. Het indicatielampje voor onderste kookplaat is ingeschakeld.
6. Druk op de koffiezetknop. Het brouwindicatorlampje gaat branden en het hete water begint de kruik
te vullen.
Opmerking: Tijdens het gebruik kan stoom uit het apparaat opstijgen en er
kunnen luide, borrelende geluiden hoorbaar zijn. Dit is volkomen normaal.

7. Als het klaar is, gaat het brouwindicatorlampje
uit. Gooi het warme water in de kruik weg.
WAARSCHUWING: De glazen kan
wordt heet tijdens het gebruik.
Pak de kruik altijd bij het handvat
op om letsel te voorkomen.
8. Herhaal stap 1-7. Het apparaat is nu klaar voor
gebruik.
Voorzichtig:
• Er is nog 0,5L water in de
ketel en de slangen van de
koffiemachine. Geen fooi
geven na gebruik. Zorg er
ook voor dat u dit opmerkt
wanneer het apparaat
aan vriestemperaturen
onderhevig is.
• Als het apparaat ooit
wordt leeggemaakt,
moet u de bovenstaande
voorbereidingsstappen
herhalen.
Koffie maken
1. Plaats een papieren filter in de filtermand. Zorg
er vooraf voor dat de filtersteun al vlak op de
bodem van de mand ligt.
2. Meet de benodigde hoeveelheid gemalen koffie
in het filterpapier en schuif de filtermand op
zijn plaats.
3. Plaats de kruik op de onderste hete plaat onder
de mand.
4. Vul het waterreservoir met koud water.
5. Schakel de hoofdschakelaar in. Het
indicatielampje voor de warmhoudplaat onder
is aan.
6. Druk op de koffiezetknop. Het
brouwindicatorlampje gaat branden en de hete
koffie begint de kan te vullen.
Opmerking: Tijdens het gebruik
kan stoom uit het apparaat
opstijgen en er kunnen luide
bibbelgeluiden hoorbaar zijn.
Dit is volkomen normaal.
7. Als het klaar is, gaat het brouwindicatorlampje
uit.
WAARSCHUWING: De glazen kan
wordt heet tijdens het gebruik.
Pak de kruik altijd bij het handvat
op om letsel te voorkomen.
8. Laat de kruik op de warmhoudplaat staan
om warm te blijven, indien nodig. Gooi de
koffieresiduen en het filterpapier weg uit de
filtermand.
9. Om de kookplaat uit te zetten, zet u de
hoofdschakelaar uit.
Gebruik van de kookplaat
Dit apparaat is uitgerust met een tweede kookplaat
om een extra kan warm te houden. Te gebruiken:
1. Plaats de kruik op de bovenste kookplaat.
2. Schakel de stroomschakelaar in voor de
bovenste kookplaat.
3. Zorg ervoor dat de bovenste plaat wordt
uitgeschakeld als deze niet in gebruik is.
WAARSCHUWING: Het
omringende oppervlak van de
kookplaat kan heet worden. NIET
aanraken! Verwarm nooit een
lege kruik op de kookplaat, of
laat de kruik niet leeglopen.
WAARSCHUWING: De aan / uit-
schakelaar voor de onderste
kookplaat is de hoofdschakelaar.
Zorg ervoor dat u hem
inschakelt voordat u de bovenste
warmhoudplaatschakelaar
inschakelt.
Reiniging, zorg &
onderhoud
• Schakel het apparaat altijd uit en koppel
het los van de voeding voordat u het
schoonmaakt.
• Gebruik zeepwater en een vochtige doek om
de buitenkant van het apparaat te reinigen.
• Was de glazen kan en de filtermand met warm
zeepsop.
• Droog grondig na het reinigen.

Ontkalken
In gebieden met hard water kan kalkaanslag zich na langdurig gebruik in het apparaat ophopen. Voor
de beste smaak en langere levensduur van het apparaat, ontkalk het regelmatig. De installatie van een
waterfiltratiesysteem wordt ook aanbevolen.
BUFFALO beveelt aan om uw apparaat elke 3 maanden of vaker te ontkalken. Om het apparaat te
ontkalken:
1. Giet een oplossing van ontkalker en water in het reservoir.
Gebruik een geschikte ontkalker en volg de instructies van de fabrikant op de
verpakking.
2. Zet de hoofdschakelaar aan en druk op de brouwknop.
3. Schakel het apparaat na ongeveer 4 minuten uit om de ontkalkingsoplossing door het systeem te
laten werken.
4. Schakel het apparaat na ongeveer 10 minuten weer in. Laat het reservoir leeglopen.
5. Gooi de oplossing weg die in de kruik is verzameld.
6. Vul het reservoir met schoon water en schakel het apparaat weer in om het systeem te spoelen en
verwijder eventueel ontkalkerresten. Gooi het verzamelde water weg en spoel de kruik af. Herhaal
met schoon water nog 2 keer om te spoelen.
7. Het apparaat is nu klaar voor gebruik.

Elektrische bedrading
Men dient de steker op een geschikt stopcontact aan te sluiten.
De bedrading van dit apparaat is als volgt:
• Stroomkabel (bruin) naar de aansluitklem gemarkeerd met L
• Neutraalkabel (blauw) naar de aansluitklem gemarkeerd met N
• Aardekabel (groen/geel) naar de aansluitklem gemarkeerd met E
Dit apparaat moet worden geaard.
Bij twijfels raadpleeg een vakkundige elektricien.
De elektrische isolatiepunten mogen niet worden geblokkeerd. In geval van een nooduitschakeling
moeten de isolatiepunten direct toegankelijk zijn.

• N’utilisez PAS d’appareils à jets/pression pour nettoyer l’appareil.
• N’immergez PAS l’appareil dans l’eau.
• Ne remplissez pas trop le réservoir d’eau.
• Assurez-vous que le cordon d’alimentation ne touche jamais la
plaque de maintien au chaud.
• Ne touchez PAS les surfaces chaudes.
• Ne touchez PAS la plaque de maintien au chaud quand
l’appareil est allumé.
• NE PAS laisser l’appareil en service sans surveillance.
• NE PAS retirer le porte-filtre pendant le processus de filtration.
• Ne laissez jamais la verseuse en verre vide sur la plaque de
maintien au chaud quand la machine à café est en marche. La
carafe risque de se briser.

Installation
L’appareil n’est pas adapté pour une installation dans un endroit où un jet à eau est susceptible d’être utilisé.
Ne placez pas la machine à café sur une surface en bois fortement polie, cette dernière risquerait d’être
endommagée.

Préparation avant utilisation
BUFFALO recommande de nettoyer l’appareil avant la première utilisation et quand l’appareil n’a pas été
utilisé pendant longtemps.
1. Mettez le panier à filtre vide en place entre les deux encoches prévues.
2. Placez la verseuse sur la plaque de maintien au chaud sous le panier.
3. Remplissez le réservoir avec de l’eau froide.
Remarque : Utilisez la verseuse pour remplir le réservoir pour ne pas dépasser
le volume maximum. Le réservoir peut contenir 1,8 litres maximum. Si trop d’eau
est remplie, l’excès d’eau s’écoulera par le tuyau de trop-plein.
4. Branchez à l’alimentation principale.
5. Mettez l’interrupteur principal sur On. Le voyant de la plaque de maintien au chaud inférieure
s’allume.
6. Appuyez sur le bouton de mise en marche. Le voyant de mise en marche s’allume et le d’eau chaude
commence à remplir la verseuse.
Remarque : Pendant le fonctionnement, on peut voir de la vapeur s’échapper de
l’appareil et entendre des bruits de bouillonnements. C’est tout à fait normal.

7. Quand l’opération est terminée, le voyant de
mise en marche s’éteint. Jetez l’eau chaude de
la verseuse.
ATTENTION : La verseuse en
verre devient brûlante pendant
le fonctionnement. Prenez-la
toujours par la poignée pour
éviter les blessures.
8. Répétez les étapes 1 à 7. L’appareil est à
présent prêt à être utilisé.
ATTENTION :
• Il reste 0,5 l d’eau dans le
système de chauffe et les
conduits de la machine à café.
Ne la retournez pas après
utilisation. Tenez-en compte
quand l’appareil est soumis à
des températures de gel.
• . Si une vidange de l’appareil
a été faite, assurez-vous de
répéter les étapes préalables
indiquées ci-dessus.
Faire du café
1. Placez un filtre en papier dans le panier à filtre.
Assurez-vous au préalable que le support à
filtre soit déjà bien à plat au fond du panier.
2. Versez la quantité nécessaire de café moulu
dans le filtre en papier et mettez le panier à
filtre en place.
3. Placez la verseuse sur la plaque sous le panier.
4. Remplissez le réservoir avec de l’eau froide.
5. Mettez l’interrupteur principal sur On. Le
voyant de la plaque de maintien au chaud
inférieure s’allume.
6. Appuyez sur le bouton de mise en marche. Le
voyant de mise en marche s’allume et le café
chaud commence à remplir la verseuse.
Remarque : Pendant le
fonctionnement, on peut voir
de la vapeur s’échapper de
l’appareil et entendre des bruits
de bouillonnements. C’est tout à
fait normal.
7. Une fois que le café a fini de couler, le voyant
de mise en marche s’éteint.
ATTENTION : La verseuse en
verre devient brûlante pendant
le fonctionnement. Prenez-la
toujours par la poignée pour
éviter les blessures.
8. Laissez la verseuse sur la plaque pour la
maintenir au chaud si nécessaire. Retirez et
jetez le marc de café et le papier à filtre du
panier.
9. Pour éteindre la plaque, appuyez sur
l’interrupteur principal .
Utilisation de la plaque de maintien
au chaud supérieure
Cet appareil est équipé d’une deuxième plaque de
maintien au chaud pour maintenir au chaud une
verseuse supplémentaire. Utilisation :
1. Placez la verseuse sur la plaque de maintien au
chaud supérieure.
2. Appuyez sur l’interrupteur d’alimentation de la
plaque supérieure.
3. Assurez-vous de l’éteindre quand vous ne
l’utilisez pas.
ATTENTION : La surface
entourant la plaque de maintien
au chaud peut devenir brûlante.
NE la touchez PAS ! Ne chauffez
jamais une verseuse vide sur la
plaque et ne la laissez jamais
devenir sèche.
AVERTISSEMENT : l’interrupteur
d’alimentation de la plaque
chauffante inférieure est
l’interrupteur principal. Assurez-
vous de l’allumer avant d’allumer
l’interrupteur de la plaque
chauffante supérieure.
Nettoyage, entretien et
maintenance
• Éteignez et débranchez toujours
l’appareil avant de le nettoyer.
• Utilisez de l’eau savonneuse et un chiffon
humide pour nettoyer l’extérieur de l’appareil.
• Lavez la verseuse en verre et le panier-filtre
avec de l’eau chaude savonneuse.
• Séchez à fond après nettoyage.

Détartrage
Dans les zones où l’eau est dure, du tartre peut se former dans l’appareil après une utilisation prolongée.
Pour un meilleur goût du café et une durée de vie plus longue de l’appareil, détartrez-le régulièrement.
L’installation d’un système de filtration de l’eau est également recommandé.
BUFFALO conseille de détartrer votre machine tous les 3 mois ou plus fréquemment. Pour détartrer votre
machine :
1. Versez une solution de détartrager et de l’eau dans le réservoir.
Utilisez un détartrant adapté et suivez les instructions du fabricant sur
l’emballage.
2. Mettez l’interrupteur d’alimentation sur On et appuyez sur le bouton de mise en marche.
3. Après environ 4 minutes, éteignez l’appareil pour laisser agir la solution de détartrage à travers le
système.
4. Après environ 10 minutes, rallumez l’appareil. Laissez le réservoir se vider.
5. Jetez la solution recueillie dans la verseuse.
6. Remplissez le réservoir avec de l’eau propre et remettez l’appareil en marche pour rincer le système
et retirer les résidus de détartrant. Jetez l’eau recueillie et rincez la verseuse. Répétez l’opération avec
de l’eau propre 2 fois de plus pour rincer.
7. L’appareil est à présent prêt à être utilisé.

Raccordement électrique
La prise doit être reliée à la prise secteur qui convient.
Cet appareil est câblé comme suit :
• Fil conducteur (brun) à la borne marquée L
• Fil neutre (bleu) à la borne marquée N

Cet appareil doit être mis à la terre.
