Bunn Soft Heat Server Quick reference guide

Soft Heat®Brewer & Server
Use & Care Instructions
Slide the funnel into the
funnel rails of the brewer.
The display will read
NOW BREWING with the
remaining brew time.
The word DRIPPING will
read on the display.
Insert a BUNN filter into a
clean brew funnel.
For two hopper grinders,
select coffee type by
pressing “RIGHT” or
“LEFT” hopper.
If grinding fresh coffee,
place funnel in grinder.
Rotate server handle forward
to lock the lid. Place empty
server under the funnel.
Press the GRIND button to
fill the funnel.
Press and release the
“ENABLE BREW” button.
Press the Batch Size button
according to the amount of
coffee in the filter.
Press the assigned BREW
button (A, B, or C).
When dripping has stopped,
discard the used grounds
and filter. Rinse the funnel
and server after each use.
Gently shake funnel to
spread the grounds evenly.
If using pre-ground coffee,
simply pour fresh coffee
into filter.
Grasp sprayhead with a
clean sanitized cloth and turn
counter-clockwise to remove.
Disassemble and thoroughly
wash, rinse, and sanitize the
sprayhead. The holes must be
open and clear of any mineral
deposits.
Remove the sprayhead
by turning in a counter-
clockwise direction.
Wash hands and put
on single use gloves.
Re-assemble the
sprayhead and install
it onto the brewer.
Use the long end of the
sprayhead cleaning tool
to clean the sprayhead
outlet fitting.

Brewing Coffee
Every Day: Clean the
spray head panel and the
entire outside surface of
the brewer with paper
towels and an approved
multi-surface cleaner.

Clean the funnel with wash
solution, rinse, and sanitize
for 60 seconds using an
approved sanitizer.
Fill the server with
sanitizing solution, and let
server sit for 60 seconds,
then drain through fully
open faucet.
Fill server with wash
solution, and thoroughly
clean inside of server
using an approved stiff
bristle brush. Drain and
thoroughly rinse using
fresh water.
Clean the inlet tube with brush and wash solution.
Rinse lid assembly thoroughly with clean water.
Sanitize for 60 seconds using an approved sanitizer.
Grasp the lid by the
finger holds and lift the
lid assembly straight up.
Rinse all parts with water. Transfer the sight gauge and faucet parts in a food service pan to a sink with sanitizer
solution to prevent loss of small parts. Allow parts to soak for 60 seconds. Remove the faucet parts from the sanitizing
solution, and allow to properly air-dry. Wash hands and put on single use gloves prior to re-assembling faucet.
Wipe the outside non-food
contact surfaces of the
server with approved multi-
surface cleaner and paper
towels.
Re-install sight gauge seal and
sight gauge tube. Re-attach faucet
to server shank. USE CAUTION:
Do Not over-tighten faucet wing
nut - HAND TIGHTEN ONLY.
Turn the faucet wingnut
clockwise to remove the
faucet from the dispenser.
Using an approved stiff
bristle brush scrub all parts
of the faucet assembly and
sight gauge.
Unscrew the faucet cap
and disassemble and
the faucet into seperate
parts as shown.
Clean the faucet shank
using an approved stiff
bristle brush and wash
solution.
Transfer the sight gauge and
faucet parts in a food service
pan to a sink with wash solution
to prevent loss of small parts.
Press down on the sight gauge
top to release the sight gauge
tube. Remove the sight gauge
tube and bottom seal.
DO NOT submerge the
server in water.
Damage to internal
components may result.
CAUTION:

Completely drain the server.

release the lid lock.

Daily Cleaning Instructions
NOTE: Bunn-O-Matic recommends
the three step method for cleaning and
sanitizing the server. The 3 step method
consists of hot soapy water using an
mild, non-citrus detergent, a fresh water
rinse and an aqueous sanitizing solution.
A Chlorinated product that is no higher
than 100ppm or Quaternary Sanitizer
at 150-400ppm can be used and not
violate the warranty. Failure to follow
the recommended cleaning procedures
can cause corrosion to the stainless steel
surface and damage the vacuum seal.
DO NOT SUBMERGE THE SERVER.
