FRESHNESS AUDIBLE
ALERT KIT INSTRUCTIONS
INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING: Disconnect the brewer from the power source before the removal of any panel or replacement of
any component.
1. Remove the Top Cover, Front Access Panel and the Server Platform
Cover from the Brewer.
2. Remove the Keps Nut securing the Transformer Holddown Strap, Fig 1.
3. From the Kit, position Relay/Mounting Bracket Assembly over stud and
secure with the Keps Nut.
4. Disconnect the white wire of the Main Harness, from the Refill Valve.
5. Connect the piggy back terminal on the short white wire of the Relay/
Bracket Assembly to the Refill Valve and the white wire of the Main

The purpose of these instructions is to serve as a guide when installing one of the following kits and to pro-
vide a list of service replacement parts.

Harness to the piggy back terminal.
6. Loosen the clamp on the power cable connector and push
the 2 violet wires thru connector so they extend out the
bottom of the brewer, tighten the clamp.
7. Route the long white wire of the Relay/Bracket Assembly
up to the Main Control Board located in the hood.
8. Refer to Fig 3, disconnect the Main Harness from J11
connector of the Main Control Board. Refer to Fig 4, locate
the open port (J11-1) of the Main Harness Connector and
insert the terminal of the long white wire from the Relay/
Bracket Assembly.
Note: The Terminal must lock into the Connector. When
inserting terminal into connector, the slpit side of the ter-
minal must be facing the locking side of the connector as
shown, for the terminal to lock in place.
9. If a new Main Control Board is included in the Kit, proceed
to step 11. If the Kit does not include a new Main Control
Board, reconnect Main Harness to Main Control Board and
continue to step 10.
10. Connect USB Flash Programmer #40413.1009 to connec-
tor J1 on the Main Control Board to flash new software
into the Control Board, then proceed to step 16.
11. Refer to Fig 5, disconnect the funnel sensor(s) from con-
nector J9, the ribbon cable from connector J4, and the level
probe harness and server detect harness from connector J2
on the circuit board.
12. Remove the two mounting nuts securing the top of the circuit
board to the hood.
13. Tilt the circuit board inward to clear the display section and
lift out of the circuit board mount.
14. Place the bottom edge of new control board in the control
board mount (as shown), tilt the board forward, and secure
top of control board with the two mounting nuts.
15. Refer to Fig 5, connect all wires to the circuit board.
16. Install all Panels and Covers on the Brewer. Audible Alarm
may now be connected to the 2 violet wires extending out
the bottom of the Brewer.
