SAFETY
To ensure safe operation always follow the instruction manual.
Read instruction manual carefully
BEFORE operating the generator.
Failure to do so could result in injury, death or
damage to the generator.
When operating the generator ensure there is
adequate ventilation. Failure to do so could result in
injury or death.
• When filling the generator with petrol ensure the area is well ventilated.
• Ensure no sparks or flames are near the generator.
• If petrol is spilt or overflows from generator DO NOT start the generator
until ALL excess fuel has been washed away.
• Ensure petrol filler cap is on tight and vent is in correct position.

BEFORE STARTING
1. Fill Oil
Always use a high grade engine oil suited to the environment the generator is
being used. Most common oil is a high grade 10W40.
• Remove side maintenance cover
• Remove oil dip stick
• Using plastic filler bottle (supplied) fill generator with 400ml.
• When checking oil level remove dip stick, wipe with a clean cloth and
place dip stick back in. Remove and read dip stick. Ad oil as needed.
Ensure generator is on a flat surface and a minimum of one
meter from any building or obstruction.
Oil must be added to the generator before first operation. Failure
to do so will damage the generator and void warranty.

BEFORE STARTING
1. Fill Petrol (E10 not suitable)
Remove fuel cap, fill with ULP to required level. The generator has a capacity of 3.7L. If
spillage or overflow of petrol ensure all petrol is washed away before starting the generator.
Replace filler cap and turn on vent for operation.
Always use ULP petrol, use of leaded or E10 petrol will damage the generator
and void warranty
When filling the generator with fuel ensure the area is well ventilated and free
from flames or sparks and generator not running.

BEFORE STARTING
1. Check Air Filter
After continued use the air filter will become clogged with dust and other particle. To ensure
smooth operation of the generator it is recommended that you check the air filter on a regular
basis depending on the environment the generator is being used.
1. Remove screw from side maintenance panel.
2. Remove maintenance panel from generator.
3. Remove retaining screw from air filter cover.
4. Remove air filter cover.
5. Check core of air filter for excessive dirt and particles.
6. If core is dirty clean as per instructions detailed later in the manual.
7. Replace air filter cover and screw into place.
8. Replace maintenance cover and screw into place.
Do not run the generator without the air filter in place. Failure to do this will
damage the generator and void warranty.

STARTING THE GENERATOR
Before starting the generator ensure there is no appliance connected to either the 240Volt AC
outlets or the DC outlet.
1. Turn vent valve on fuel filler cap to “on” position.
2. Turn the engine switch to the “on” position.
3. Turn engine run / start switch to “start”
4. Pull starting handle firmly to start motor, release handle gently back into position.
Once engine is running (approximately one minute) turn engine run / start switch back
to “run”.

11
OPERATION
Ensure all appliances connected to the generator are in good working order and free from
damage.
All cables are to be in good condition and free from damage.
If operating in a “wet” environment ensure all cables and connections are suitably protected
from becoming wet.
In order to prevent electric shock the engine should be suitably earthed from the
earth port on the control panel.
Earth point
• Do not exceed rated power of
generator.
• Do not exceed amperage of 240Volt
AC outlet.
• The generator is not to be connected
to “mains” power.
• Do not make modifications to the
motor.
• Maximum cable length from genera-
tor is 60 meters.

12
OPERATION
1. Connect charging cable to generator (ensure generator is “on”). Connect charging
clamps to battery by connecting red (positive) first the black (negative) second.
2. Plug charging cable into generator
3. To disconnect charging unplug charge cable
4. Disconnect charging clamps
5. Turn generator off
Reverse connection when removing charge.
DC output is to be used for charging sealed lead acid batteries only.
The DC output is not designed to be used as a DC power source.
Charging cable
• Batteries release explosive gasses during charge. Always charge batteries
in a well ventilated area.
• Keep flame and sparks away from charging batteries.
• Check battery manufacturer specifications for charging before using the
generator.

13
ALARMS
• Low Oil Alarm
• The generator is equipped with a low oil alarm system.
• When the generator detects a low level of oil the ‘low oil” indictor light will
illuminate.
• Continued use of the generator with low oil can damage the unit and may void
warranty.
• Low Oil cut off.
• Once the oil level reaches a critical level the generator will automatically shut
down and will not re start until oil is added.
• Overload Alarm
• The generator is rated at 2000 watts with a constant output of 1700 watts.
• If the appliance connected is drawing a higher wattage than the above rating the
generator overload warning light will illuminate.
• Continued use of the generator above the recommended limit will result in the
generator shutting down automatically.
• DC reset switch
• If the rated amperage is exceeded the generator will cut power to the DC outlet.
• If this occurs the DC output can be reset by pushing the reset button.
SHUTTING DOWN
1. Turn off all attached appliances.
2. Remove plugs from sockets
3. Turn the generator on / off switch to the OFF position.
4. Turn vent switch to the OFF position

14
MAINTENANCE
Changing Oil
1. Remove maintenance cover.
2. Remove oil dip stick.
3. Tilt generator 45° to drain oil into container.
4. Once empty, fill with recommended oil (400ml)
5. Replace oil dip stick.
6. Replace maintenance cover.
Ensure the generator is OFF and cool before carrying out any maintenance.

MAINTENANCE
Spark Plug maintenance
1. Remove spark plug cover on top of generator.
2. Gently remove spark plug cover and wire.
3. With supplied tool remove spark plug.
4. Check spark plug for crazing around white insulation.
5. If this has occurred you will need to replace the spark
plug.
6. Clean the spark plug with a wire brush removing all
deposits.
7. Measure the clearance of the spark plug with a gauge,
adjust as needed.
8. Re-install the spark plug by hand taking care not to
cross thread.
9. Carefully tighten the spark plug with the supplied
spanner.
10. Firmly push spark plug cap back onto spark plug.
11. Replace spark plug cover.

16
TRANSPORT / STORAGE
To avoid petrol leaking from the generator during transport or temporary storage ensure
that the unit is upright and the vent switch on the petrol cap is in the “off” position.
If transporting the generator in the cabin of the vehicle ensure there is adequate ventilation.
Do not expose generator to direct sunlight for long periods of time if transporting in the
cabin of the vehicle. Direct sunlight will cause the petrol to expand and produce excessive
fumes.
Long Term Storage
1. Empty fuel tank of the generator by syphoning fuel into an appropriate container.
2. Replace petrol cap and ensure
vent is set to the “off” position.
3. Remove side panel of generator.
4. Remove oil dip stick.
5. Tilt the generator 45° pouring the
oil into a tray.
6. Once all oil is drained replace oil
dip stick and tighten.
7. Replace generator side panel.
