Emergency
Shutdown System
• The emergency shutdown system is
activated and the high-voltage system
is automatically shut down when the
following conditions are met:
•The airbags do not deploy after a
frontal collision.
•There is a rear collision.
•The vehicle system is faulty.
• If any of the above collisions and
vehicle system failures occur, the OK
indicator will go o.
• Activating the emergency shutdown
system in the noted types of collision
minimizes the risk of injuries or
accidents. The vehicle system cannot
be switched into the OK status
once the emergency shutdown system
is activated. In that case, it is
16

recommended to contact a BYD
authorized dealer or service provider.
Even if the ignition switch is set to the
OK position, the system will be turned
o immediately. It is recommended
to contact a BYD authorized dealer or

stay away from the vehicle and wait for
rescue.
DANGER
Wear insulated gloves during vehicle
disassembly. Use re extinguishers
of designated type. Water or
incorrect re extinguishers may
cause electric shock.
In the event of other special
conditions that cause ying
projectiles (such as interior trims,
glass, etc.), please stay away from
the vehicle and promptly ask a BYD
authorized dealer or service provider
to go to the site for handling.
Battery Leakage
Rescue
If the Vehicle Needs
Towing
If the vehicle needs towing, it is
recommended to contact a BYD
authorized dealer or service provider,
a professional towing service, or the
organization you joined for roadside
assistance.
Common towing methods include:
• Flatbed device
•When the vehicle is faulty and needs
towing, a atbed trailer is the best
choice. This is because leaving a
single front or rear wheel on the
ground can cause damage to high
voltage components, and leaving a
single front or rear wheel of the
vehicle in power-up mode on the
ground can cause loss of driver
assistance system sensor calibration.
If a Tire Goes Flat
• Maintain the lane position and
gradually slow down the vehicle. Drive
the vehicle o the busy road to a safe
place. Park on solid, at ground and
avoid highway forks. Park on solid, at
ground.
17
IN CASE OF EMERGENCY

• Please refer to the followings to
operate when parking:
1. Depress the brake pedal to stop the
vehicle smoothly, and then press the
P button to switch to P mode. In
such case, the P gear indicator on the
instrument cluster goes on.
2. Press ‘START/STOP’ button and
open the hazard warning light.
• Be sure to have all passengers get o
the vehicle and ask them to go to a
safe place away from crowded trac.
• To prevent slipping, secure the vehicle
by wedging the tire diagonally against
the at tire.
