Identification Number of BYD
Suri
There are several identification
numbers on your car, located at
different locations.
The engine model / engine number is
printed on the engine block.
The transmission number is located at
the nameplate on the top of the
transmission.
Do not mix the transmission number
and engine number
The Vehicle Identification Number (VIN)
is marked on the floor crossmember
underthe passenger seat and the
nameplate above the instrument panel
at the lower left corner of the engine
compartmentbulkhead and the front
windshield.
The vehicle nameplate is fixed in the B
piller, indicating the Vehicle
Identification Number (VIN), engine
model, car model, engine displacement,
maximum design gross weight, date of
manufacture and the like.

The fuel grade sign is pasted at the
inside of the oil filler cap.
The warning sign for cooling fan and
replacement sign for engine coolant
are pasted inside the front
compartment.
The airbag warning sign is pasted on
the right sun visor.
The front passenger airbag sign is
located on the right side of the
instrument panel.
The tire pressure sign is located
below the left B pillar.

Keys includes the smart key
and the mechanical key
1. Electronic smart key is used for
unlocking and locking of all car
doors, and the remote control
button on the electronic smart
key can be used to lock and
unlock door, and locate the car
remotely.
2. Card smart key is used for
unlocking and locking of all car
doors and activating push-to-start
function by pressing the left and
right front door micro switch or
rear micro switch.
3. Slide smart key is used for
unlocking and locking of all car
doors and activating push-to-start
function by pressing the left and
right front door micro switch or
rear micro switch, also for remote
driving.
4. Mechanical key (inside the
electronic smart key, card smart
key and slide smart key) is used
to lock or unlock the driver‘s door.
NOTICE
People who have a cardiac
pacemaker or defibrillator
should keep away from the
detection antenna of the smart
entry and starting system, as
electromagnetic waves could
affect functioning of these
appliances. Refer to the
―Detection antenna position‖
section.
Besides those who use a
cardiac pacemaker or
defibrillator, users of other
electronic medical appliances
should also consult with the
manufacturers about related
issues before using these
appliances. Electromagnetic
waves may have unpredicted
consequences for these
medical appliances.
NOTICE
Please observe the following
notes when using smart key:
Do not attach any object which
might cut off electromagnetic
waves of the smart key(for
example a metal sealing
element).
Do not knock other objects with
the smart key.
Do not left the smart key in
high temperature for a long
time, for example, on the
instrument panel or the engine
hood under direct sunshine.
Do not dip the smart key into
water or wash it in an
ultra-sonic wave washer.
Do not put the smart key
together with an appliance
which emits electromagnetic
waves, for example, mobile
phones.

Use the mechanical key in the
electronic smart key
To use the mechanical key in the
electronic smart key, please press the
lock button, and take out the
mechanical key. After using it, please
put it back.

Wireless remote control
The wireless remote control
system is designed to lock and
unlock all car doors at a distance
of about 1m from the car and
perform various other functions. It
applies only to the electronic smart
key.
When operating any switch, press the
switch in a slow and steady way.
Electronic smart key is an electronic
component. Please observe the
following instructions in order not to
damage it.
Do not leave it in high
temperature, for example, on the
instrument panel.
Do not disassemble it at your
sole discretion.
Do not knock other objects with
it or drop it.
Do not dip the key into water.
It is allowed to register the spare key
for a car. For detailed description,
contact the BYD authorized service
station.
Check whether there is a radio
station or radio transmitter of the
airport in the vicinity which has
interfered with the normal
operation of the electronic smart

key.
Check whether the battery of the
electronic smart key runs out of
power or not. For the
replacement of battery, please
refer to ―Replace the electronic
smart key battery‖section.
If the electronic smart key is lost,
please contact the BYD authorized
service station as soon as possible to
avoid car theft or accident.
Lock and unlock the car
When locking or unlocking all the
doors, please press the key switch in
a slow and steady way.
Lock: Press the locking switch to lock
all the doors at the same time. At this
time, the external rearview mirror will
fold up, and the turn signal lights will
blink once.
Check whether all car doors are
locked
If one car door is not locked, the
external rearview mirror will not fold,
the turn signal light will not blink, and
simultaneously, the alarm sounds
briefly.
Unlock: press the unlocking switch to
unlock all car doors. At the same time,
the turn signal light blinks twice.
If power position is at ACC or ON,
unlocking switch or locking switch
cannot unlock or lock car doors.
When unlocking all car doors with the
electronic smart keys at the same
time, even if the car doors are not
unlocked, the lamp inside will remain
on for 15 seconds, and then will be
turned off.
After unlocking with the electronic
smart key, please open a car door
within 30 seconds. Otherwise, all car
doors will be locked again.
If you press and hold the locking or
unlocking switch, locking or unlocking
function will not occur. You have to
release the switch and press it again.
Press and hold the switch for quite a
while to raise or lower the door
windows.

Locate car
If you press locking switch when car is
in anti-theft mode, the car will give a
long tone, and the turn signal light will
blink for 15 times. When you cannot
find your car, please use this function
to locate your car.
If you press the locking switch again
when a car is in location mode, a new
round of car location will start.
Trunk unlock switch
Press the trunk unlock switch and
hold for about 1.5s, and the trunk will
open, then the turn signal light will
blink twice.
Replace the electronic smart key
battery
The electronic smart key is subject to
damage during battery replacement. It
is recommended to replace the
battery throughBYD authorized
service station. If you replace the
battery yourself, ensure you use a
CR1632 lithium battery or equivalent
and a flat head screwdriver.
Remotely control the window
raising and lowering
When the car is at the OFF position,
press and hold the remote control lock
key for more than 3s within the
effective remote control distance to
realize push-to-start window raising,
and release the key to stop the
operation; press the remote control
unlock key and hold it for more than
3s to realize push-to-start window
lowering; and release the key to stop
the operation.
WARNING
Please make sure the removed
card smart key battery or
component is not swallowed by a
child.
NOTICE
Do not touch the electrical
circuit; otherwise, static
electricity might cause
damage to the electronic
smart key.
Do not leave out any
component when replacing
the electronic smart key
battery.
Only the same or a similar
type of battery recommended
by a BYD authorized service
station can be used.
Please observe local laws
when disposing of used
battery.
Ensure that the car is within
visual range while remotely
controlling the window raising
and lowering.
