Cabela’s recommends that you familiarize yourself with all parts and fully assemble your tent before going on
your first adventure.
It can be easier to assemble a tent with the door facing the wind. Once you have fully assembled the tent, you
can turn it to face the way you want and re-stake.
Stakes should be placed at a 45˚ angle with the tops facing away from the center of the tent.
If your tent has fabric ties or hooks on top of the tent, secure these to the poles. These are usually the support
for an accessory hang point inside the tent.
We HIGHLY recommend setting guy lines every time to secure your tent. Guy lines will not only stabilize the tent
in windy conditions, they also ensure that the tent will vent properly.
When possible, open doors to increase ventilation and reduce condensation, which can form on the inner tent
surface.
Research the area where you intend to camp. Prepare for any possible weather conditions. Be aware of hazards
and emergency protocol.
Know the rules and regulations of the area where you intend to camp.
Be considerate of other people and wildlife.
Remember to clean up and dispose of all waste properly. “Leave no trace behind.”
Always store your tent dry and clean. To clean soiled areas, gently apply nondetergent soap and water.
You should set up and inspect your tent annually before using. Ensure that you have all the parts from the
provided list.
Inspect seams for wear and apply seam sealer if needed.
DISASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
Follow all assembly steps in reverse order to disassemble the tent.
When disassembling the tent, you should slightly loosen all rain-fly buckles or webbing. You should also loosen
window zippers to relieve stress upon next assembly.
Fold the rain fly and place it over the tent body. Fold the tent body into thirds or quarters, depending on the tent.
The width of the folded tent should roughly match the length of the unassembled poles.
For smaller backpack tents, place the pole and stake bag on the short end of the tent. Firmly roll the tent up
around the pole bag and place in the carry bag.

ULTIMATE ALAKNAK™13x27 TENT ASSEMBLY
STEP 1 - GETTING STARTED
CABELA’S TENTS ARE EASY TO ASSEMBLE AS LONG AS YOU READ THE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY AND AVOID EXCESSIVE
FORCE TO ANY PART OF THE TENT OR POLES.
WE RECOMMEND ASSEMBLY BE COMPLETED BY TWO PEOPLE.
Lay the tent flat on the ground with the door and windows
facing up. Make sure the door is zipped CLOSED at this time.
Stake out all the webbing loops from the tent body.
(Note: Insert all stakes into the ground at a 45° angle with
the tops facing away from the center of the tent.)
STEP 2 - TENT BODY
Locate the short, one-piece poles. Locate the pin on the
webbing ring on any corner of the tent.
Starting at one corner, insert the pin into the open end of
the pole. Insert the post on top of the pole into the grommet
on the sidewall seam. Attach hook-and-loop tabs around the
pole.
Repeat the process with all remaining corners and then all
remaining side poles.
STEP 3 - TENT BODY CONT.
Lay the large ridgeline pole assembly flat in the center of
the tent. Starting at the center, attach the clips on the roof
section.
Locate the black guy lines. Prepare the guy lines by tying a
loop or slip knot on the tag end of the line, opposite the
metal adjuster.
Guy out a corner by placing the tied guy-line loop over the
post on the pole. Place the loop created by the metal
adjuster over the stake.
(Note: Place the stake for each guy line several feet away
from the bottom of the tent.)
CAUTION: Do not overtighten guy lines, as the tent will be
pulled off center.
Repeat the process with the remaining corners and then
sidewall poles.

STEP 4 - MAIN POLE ASSEMBLY
CABELA’S TENTS ARE EASY TO ASSEMBLE AS LONG AS YOU READ THE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY AND AVOID EXCESSIVE
FORCE TO ANY PART OF THE TENT OR POLES.
Snap the large-diameter poles together to form the main
poles. Each end will have a rubber cap.
Unzip the door, lift the tent up and step into the tent with
the pole. Push the roof upward with the pole, placing the
top of the pole on the reinforced area near the roof peak and
the bottom of the pole on the reinforced area on the floor.
Secure the ends of the ridgeline pole over the post on the
center sidewall pole.
STEP 5 - AWNING ASSEMBLY
Assemble the remaining poles to form a V-shaped pole
assembly for the awning. Next, insert the pins on the
staked-out webbing loops into the bottom of the poles.
Starting at the top, attach the awning clips to the pole
assembly. Attach the white guy line to the top center of the
awning poles, between the clips. Stake out the guy line
about 12 ft. from the tent.
STEP 6 - FINAL STEPS
Adjust the guy lines to allow the tent and tent walls to stand
straight. Once the tent is straight, all guy lines can be
tightened.
(Note: Guy lines will not only stabilize the tent in windy
conditions, they also ensure that the tent vents properly.)
Ensure that all stake points are secure and the bottom of
the tent is symmetrical.
