IMPORTANTSAFETYINFORMATION
SURFACE COOKING UNITS
1. UseProperPanSize—Thisappliance is equipped
withoneormoresurface burners of different sizes.
Selectutensilshaving flat bottoms large enough to
coverthesurfaceburnerflame.The use of undersized
utensils will expose a portion of the burner flame to
direct contact and may result in ignition of clothing.
Properrelationshipof utensil to burner will also
improveefficiency.
2. NeverLeaveSurfaceBurnersUnattended—Boilover
causes smoking and greasy spillovers that may
ignite.
3. ProtectiveLiners—Donot use aluminum foil to line
surface unit drip bowls or oven bottom, except as
suggestedinmanual.Improperinstallation of these
liners may result in a risk of electric shock, or fire.
4. GlazedCookingUtensils—Only certain types of
glass, ceramic, earthware, or other glazed utensils
aresuitableforrangetopservicewithout breaking due
tosuddenchangeintemperature.
5. UtensilHandlesShouldbeTurned Inward and Not
ExtendOverAdjacentSurfaceBurners—To reduce
the risk of burns, ignition of flammable materials, and
spillage due to unintentional contact with the utensil,
the handle of a utensil should be positioned so that it
isturnedinward, and does not extend over adjacent
surfaceunits.

1. ProperInstallation—Be sure your appliance is
properlyinstalledandgroundedbyaqualified
technician.
2. NeverUseApplianceforWarmingorHeatingthe
Room.
3. Do NotLeaveChildrenAlone—Childrenshouldnot be
aloneorunattendedintheareawheretheappliance
is in use. They should never be allowed to sit or stand
on any part of the appliance.
4. WearProperApparel—Loosefittingor hanging
garmentsshouldneverbewornwhile using appliance.

OVEN
1. UseCareWhen Opening Door—Let hot air orsteam
escapebeforeremoving or replacing food.
2. DoNotHeatUnopened Food Containers—Build-up of
pressure may cause container to burst and result in
injury.
3. KeepOvenVents Ducts Unobstructed.
4. PlacementofOvenRacks—Alwaysplace oven racks
in desired location while oven is cool. If rack is
removedwhileovenishot,donotletpotholder
contacthotheating element in oven.
VENTILATION HOOD
1. CleanVentilation Hood Frequently—Grease should
not be allowed to accumulate on hood or filter.
2. Whenflamingfoods under hood, turn fanon.
CAUTION
!
Do not store items of interest to children in cabinets
abovearangeoronthebackguardofarange—
children climbing on the range to reach items could
beseriouslyinjured.

In Case of Fire
Fires can occur as a result of over cooking or excessive
grease. Though a fire is unlikely, if one occurs, proceed
as follows:
Surface Fire
1. Smotherthefire with a nonflammable lid or baking
soda, or use a Class ABC or BC extinguisher. Not
water. Not salt. Not flour.
2. As soon as it is safe to do so, turn the surface
burnercontrols to OFF .
• Asan added precaution, turn off gas supplyand
power at main circuit breaker or fuse box.
Oven Fires
1. Ifyousee smoke from oven, donot open oven door.
2. Turnovenoff.
3. As an added precaution, turn off gas supply and
power at main circuit breaker or fuse box.
4. Turnonvent to remove smoke.
5. Allow food or grease to burn itself out in oven.
6. If smoke and fire persist, call fire department.
7. If there is any damage to components, call repair
servicebeforeusingrange.
Precautions
• Do not cook food directly on rangetop surface, always
usecookware.
• Do not mix household cleaning products. Chemical
mixturesmay interact with objectionable or even
hazardousresults.
• Oven door contains a glass window. While this glass is
built to be sturdy and resistant, it is glass and should
be treated with care.
• Donot lift or move range bygrasping oven door. This
can result in window glass breaking or shattering.
• Do not put plastic items on warm cooking areas. They
may stick and melt.
• Do not slide rough metal objects across rangetop
surface. Scratching or metal marking can result.
• Do not use damp sponge or dishcloth to clean rangetop
when range is hot. Steam from sponge or dishcloth can
burn.
• Do not leave fat heating unless you remain nearby. Fat
can ignite if overheated by spilling onto hot surfaces.
• Do not allow pots to boil dry as this can cause damage
to cooking surface and pan.
• Do not use rangetop surface as a cutting board.
Delayed Ignition
Surface Burners
Burnershould ignite within 4 seconds. Ifburner does not
ignite within 4 seconds turn control knob to OFF position
andfollowdirectionsin“Placing Grates and Burner Caps”
and“BeforeCallingforService”section. Try burner again.
If burner still does not ignite in 4 seconds, contact an
authorizedservicer.
Burner Flame
Allownomorethan40–60secondsbeforeburnerignites
and heat is felt. To check for heat, open oven door to first
stopand place hand over oven door. If heat is notfelt, turn
ovencontrol to OFF.Ifburnerrepeatedly fails to ignite,
contactanauthorizedservicer.

Gas Connection Requirements
Before connecting this appliance to the gas supply piping
system,confirm installationmeetstherequirementsoflocal
codes, or in the absence of local codes, with the National
FuelGasCode,ANSIZ223.1-LatestEdition.
When installed in mobile housing, installation is to be in
accordancewithCSAstandardZ241.1gasequipped
mobilehousing.
Theinstallationofappliancesdesigned for manufactured
(mobile)homeinstallation must conform with
ManufacturedHomeConstructionandSafetyStandard,
Title 24 CFR, Part 3280, or when such standard is not
applicable,theStandardforManufactured Home
Installation,ANSI225.1/NFPA501A-LatestEdition,or with
localcodesorthestandard CAN/CSA-z240MH, “Mobile
Homes”,andwithlocalcodes where applicable.
The installation of appliances is to be in accordance with
CAN1-B149.1orB149.2installationcodeforgasburning
appliancesandequipmentand/orlocal codes.
Refer to National Fuel Gas Code or local codes for supply
pipe size requirements to assure sufficient gas supply to
unit.

Special Countertop Conditions
Countertops such as ceramic tile tops cause cabinet and
countertoptobehigherthan36inches. Followinstructions
belowwhencountertopishigherthan 36 inches.
1. Raiselevelinglegstomaximum level.
2. Measurefromfloor to side trim. Ifmeasurement is
less than height of countertop floor must be shimmed.
3. Shim floor using a piece of plywood same size as
rangeopening. Secureplywoodtofloor. Plywood
must be as secure as original flooring.
4. Install anti-tip bracket(s) and slide range into place.
Electrical Connection Requirements
WARNING
!
To avoid the risk of serious electrical shock or
propertydamage, do not cut or remove thethird
(ground)prongfrom the power plug. A 3-wire
grounded conductor system must be used. Relying
on the flexible connector, hard piping or any other
part of the gas supply line as a ground may cause
fire, electrical shock and/or erratic control operation.
Rangemust be electrically grounded in accordance with
local codes or in the absence of local codes, with the
NationalElectrical Code, ANSI/NFPA No. 70-Latest
Edition.
In Canada, electrical connections are to be made in
accordancewith CSA C22.1 CanadianElectrical Code.
All electrical connections are to be made in accordance
withCSA standards Z240.6.1 electrical requirementsfor
mobilehomes.
Useadedicated 120 volt, 60 hertz, 3-prong receptacle
protected by a 15 amp circuit breaker or time delay fuse.
A qualified electrician should confirm the outlet is properly
grounded.
Ifa 2-prong outlet is encountered,range owner must
replace outlet before using range. Do not cut off cord, use
plugadapteror extension cord, or remove groundingplug.

disconnected from the gas supply piping system during
any pressure testing of that system at test pressures in
excess of ½ psig (3.5kPa) (14" WCP).
• Appliance must be isolated from gas supply piping
systembyclosingmanualshut-off valve during any
pressure testing of the gas supply piping system at
test pressures equal to or less than ½ psig (3.5kPa)
(14"WCP).

must be at least 1" WCP above manifold pressure

1. Remove(pulloff)all(5)controlknobsfromrange.
• Exposes 2 screws on burner control panel.
2. Remove2screwsfromburnercontrol panel.
• Paneldropsslightlyafterscrews are removed.
3. Graspbottomof burner control panel, gently liftand
pulloutpanel until clear of burner valve stems.
• Afterburnercontrolpanelclearsvalvestems,
continueto roll panel until free fromrange. Set
aside.
• Gasvalveand orifice hood arevisibleafterburner
controlpanelare removed.
4. Whilefacingrange front, turn orifice hoods clockwise
1½ to 2 turns.
• Use½ inch open end or 90° offsetopen end
wrench.
5. Close air shutter to approximately 3/8inch.
Converting Oven Burner for Use with Natural Gas
1. Openbroilerdoorandremovebroilerrack,pan,and
grid.
2. Turnorificehoodcounterclockwise(loosen)2full
turns using ½ inch open end wrench.
3. Close air shutter to approximately 3/8inch.
4. Replacebroilerdoor.
Converting Oven Thermostat for Use with Natural
Gas
1. Remove(pulloff)all(5)controlknobsfromrange.
• Exposes 2 screws on burner control panel.
2. Remove2screwsfromburnercontrol panel.
• Paneldropsslightlyafterscrews are removed.
3. Graspbottomof burner control panel, gently liftand
pulloutpanel until clear of burner valve stems.

aside.
4. Turn the selector screw so the pointer is towards “N”.
5. Reversesteps1-3 to replace controlpanel and
knobs.
Converting Type 1 Pressure Regulator for Use with
Natural Gas
1. Removepressureregulatorcapwitha wrench.
2. Removeplasticinsertfrompressureregulatorcap.
• Plastic insert fits tightly in cap.
3. Reverse plastic insert and carefully push plastic insert
firmlyinto hole in pressure regulator cap.
• Insertmust show “NAT”or be blank.
4. Placepressureregulatorcaponpressureregulator
andtighten.
• Insertshouldnot disturb spring in body ofregulator.
Converting Type 2 Pressure Regulator for Use with
Natural Gas
1. Removepressureregulatorcapwitha wrench.

Testing for Gas Leaks
After final gas connection is made, turn on manual gas
valve and test all connections in gas supply piping and
range for gas leaks. Leak testing of the appliance
shall be conducted according to the manufacturer’s
instructions.
WARNING
!
Toavoidpropertydamageor serious personal injury,
never use a lighted match to test for gas leaks.
Gas Connection
Connectgassupply to regulator using hard pipeorflexible
connector(Checklocalcodes).Pressure regulator
supplied with this appliance has a ½ inch NPT female
connection.Ifgasunionisused,removestoragedrawer,
slide range into place, and connect union.
• Referto National Fuel Gas Code orlocal codes for
supply pipe size requirements to assure sufficient gas
supply to unit.
• Amanual Shut-off, not supplied with range, mustbe
installed in an accessible location outside of range.
• Use joint compound that is resistant to action of
propanegason all male pipe threads.
• Usesuppliedpressureregulatoronly.
• Donotovertighten gas fitting when attaching to
pressureregulator. Overtighteningmaycrackregulator.
• Supportpressureregulatorwithwrenchwheninstalling
gas fitting.
WARNING
!
Toavoidpropertydamageor personal injury, only use
a new flexible connector that is AGA/CGA design
certified.
• Do not use an old connector.
• Do not reuse a connector after moving appliance.

1. Mix container with soapy water.

1. Measure 31/2inches from back wall on right and left

2. Position anti-tip bracket.

side of bracket against cabinet.

Electronic timer does not control bake or broil. Timer can be set up to 12 hours. Time displays and counts
down in hours and minutes when more than 59 minutes are entered. For example, 1:30 equals one hour and
thirty minutes, or 90 minutes total.
1. Press TIMER pad.
• 0:00 minutes displays.
2. Press up or down arrow pad to set time.
• Press an arrow pad once to advance 1 minute at a time, or press and hold arrow pad to advance in
increments of 10 minutes.
• If desired time is more than 1 hour press and hold up arrow pad until desired time displays.
3. Colon in display flashes and the timer begins counting down automatically after time is entered.
4. When the timer count down reaches 1 minute, the timer beeps once to remind you that 1 minute of time
remains.
5. After time elapses, timer beeps 3 times, and then once every 10 seconds until TIMER pad is pressed.
• Display returns to time of day after TIMER pad is pressed.

• While turning the burner control knob, watch the
burner flame.
• Flame size should match the size of the pan. Do not
allow the flame to extend up the sides of the pan.
Flames that extend up the sides of the pan can ignite
clothing, make handle hot, or burn.

• Use care when using glazed cooking utensils. Some
glass, earthenware, or other glazed utensils break due
to sudden temperature changes.

Adjusting Factory Set Baking Temperature
Oven temperature is set at factory. When first using oven,
follow recipe times and temperatures. If you think oven is
too hot or too cool, temperature can be adjusted. Before
adjusting oven baking temperature, test a recipe by using
atemperature set higher or lower thanthe recommended
temperature. The baking results should help you to
decide how much adjustment is needed.
1. Pull oven thermostat knob straight out from control
panel.
2. Turnknobover and loosen screwsusing Phillips
screwdriver.
•Do not remove screws.
3. While holding knob front, turn outer part of knob until
pointer points to next line.
• Turnouterknob clockwise to decrease or
counterclockwisetoincreasetemperature.
• Eachlineadjusts temperature approximately 10
degreesFahrenheit.
• Only move knob one line at a time.
4. Tighten screws with pointer in new position and
