to the EOS range It features an amazing 6 3 megapixel CMOS
sensor, guaranteeing superb image quality Before starting the
actual design process of the EOS D60 we spoke to professional
and advanced users of Canon’s first digital SLR, the EOS D30
After listening to their ideas and suggestions, key features of
the EOS D30 like the continuous shooting speed of approx
3 fps and the maximum burst of 8 shots have been maintained
in the EOS D60 The new superimposed LED display for
AF functions and the illumination of the LCD panel are but a
few of the other user suggested features that we incorporated
into the EOS D60 The final result is a camera that represents
the ultimate in high-end digital photography

YOU CAN HAVE SUPERB IMAGE QUALITY
At the heart of the EOS D60 lies the newly developed CMOS
sensor 6 3 million effective pixels provide an image
quality that is hard to beat The low-pass filter configuration
has been modified to countermeasure red ghost outline
that can occur in digital cameras The firmware has also
been completely revamped resulting in a considerably
shorter shutter-release time lag and a quicker startup from
power off But not only the inside has been upgraded,
the black outer case with metallic accents gives the camera
an extra touch of class
YOU CAN HAVE TOTAL CONTROL
IN THE BLINK OF AN EYE
The EOS D60’s full-frame viewfinder contains a new super-
imposed display as found in some of the higher-end
EOS analogue SLR cameras The partial metering circle and the
illuminated AF points are now both visible in the viewfinder
As is information on shutter speed, aperture, maximum
burst during continuous shooting, CF card information,
exposure level, flash information and autofocus confirmation
More information and custom settings can be found on the
full colour illuminated LCD, which also allows you to zoom
in on your images The EOS D60 features six different JPEG
compression storage modes as well as a RAW image storage
possibility for advanced image manipulation
