Picture Resolution
L is the largest setting and S is the smallest.
A good rule of thumb is to stay somewhere
in the middle. If you do not want the files to
be to big, use the M2 or S setting.
From camera mode,
press the FUNC. SET
button. Use the dial to
navi
g
ate the menu.
To change the flash, press
this side of the dial.
LCD Display- (Liquid Crystal Display)
-What you see in the display is what you will get
in your picture.
-There is a slight delay so hold the camera steady
until you see the LCD freeze briefly with your
picture. (Count to 3 but take the picture on 2.)
-If you are not sure, put the camera in play mode
and check the picture.
Play Mode Menus
From play mode, press the
menu button. This menu is
different if you have the
camera in Camera Mode.

Browse these menus to adjust
date and time, sounds, or
volume.
Lever is in Play Mode
Erases all photos off
the camera
Battery charger and
battery- The charger
plugs right into the
outlet. No added cables
are needed.
Display button
turn off menus
and/or shuts off
the LCD to save
battery life.

Downloading Pictures to the Computer
Step 1
-Move the lever down to PLAY MODE.
-Turn the camera on.
-Plug the USB cable into the camera and the computer.
-Click cancel when this action box appears.
Step 2
-Click on My Computer on your desktop.
-Click on the Canon icon.
Step 3
-Copy and paste
your pictures into a
folder.
-Delete individual
pictures from the
camera here. It will
save battery life.
-Delete all the
pictures from the
camera by clicking
“Delete all pictures
on camera”
-If this is correct,
click yes.
