lThis chimney has been designed to last a long time and depending on the up-keep & maintenance by the customer the
chimney may last a long time but for the purpose of life time warranty the life of the chimney will be taken as 7 years from
the date of purchase of the chimney.
lThe warranty is not valid for any damages arising due to erratic power supply.
lThe warranty is not valid in case chimney is used on inverter or generator.
lThe warranty doesn’t include the regular servicing of the product. Parts covered under warranty are motor, switch and
controls only.
lElectronic Controls / Touch Sensor Controls carry only one year warranty and are not covered under Life Time Warranty.
lGlass or Glass products are not covered under warranty.
lThe company will not accept any liability for nay loss or damages of whatsoever nature on account of fire, storm, theft,
malicious damage, pressure cooker bursting or any other unforeseen acts or incidents.
lAny damage done by rats or rodents etc. will not be covered by the warranty.
lGlen Appliances Pvt. Ltd. accepts no liability for any consequential loss and / or damages caused to the user or any third
party due to any failure / malfunction of the product. The company’s liability is limited to the repair or replacement of the
defective part.
lIn case of installation beyond the municipal limits of the areas of operation of authorised service centres, or in areas where
there are no service centres, the expenses incurred in transporting the parts / machine including loading / unloading will
be borne by the user and paid in advance.
lThe warranty will be valid only at the original place of purchase and in case of transfer the Chimney should have been un-
installed and then re-installed only by the authorized technician. No claims would be entertained in cases of ownership
changes.
lThe decision of Glen Appliances Pvt. Ltd. in respect of all claims in this regard would be final binding. All disputes subject to
Faridabad jurisdiction.
GUARANTEE
Glen guarantees to get the product or any part thereof repaired free of charge for a period of one year from the date of
purchase, should any defect develop due to faulty or defective workmanship or material. However, the glass, plastic
breakable parts, lamps, push buttons, filter locks and items subject to normal wear and tear due to operation are not
covered under guarantee.
Terms to Guarantee
lThe Bill/Cash Memo should be presented.
lNo repair work should be carried out by any unauthorised person.
lProduct should be used as per the directions given in the user’s guide.
lAny defects caused by improper or reckless use are not covered under guarantee.
lThe Serial No. has not been tampered with.
lNo modification/alteration of any nature in made in the Product.
lUnder warranty service/repair will be provided on FOC the municipality limit of the service centre,
lOutside the municipality limit of the service centre, minimum vising charges of Rs.500/- will be applicable or customer may
bring it to service centre at him own for free service/repair under warranty.
The company accepts no responsibility for any consequential losses arising out of misuse or negligence on the part of the
user.

CIELO - CEILING HOOD
Well enclosed within the false ceiling, this revolutionary new
form of chimney is truly unobtrusive and saves you space too.
Capella Ceiling Hood uses perimetric extraction system, which
draws air in through narrow apertures around the full
perimeter of the hood. It means higher air pressure, greater
efficiency and less noise too.
The user-friendly remote control, places both power and
lighting functions within easy reach. It also allows you to set
the handy timer function, which automatically switches off the
extractor after the set time, so when you leave your kitchen
you know that any odours will be gone by the time you return.
Please read carefully all the following installation and operating
instructions for a smooth operation.
INSTALLATION & OPERATION
1. Cut an opening of size 610 x 1160 mm in the false
ceiling as shown in the figure. The marking can be done
with the help of template provided.
2. Using the template provided mark the 8 points for drilling
in the RCC ceiling in alignment with the false ceiling cut.
3. After drilling in the RCC ceiling fix the dust fasteners in
drilled holes then fix all the threaded bolts and lock it with
the help of check nuts. Each bolt is provided with two
sets of check nuts. One for locking it in the top with dust
fasteners and the other to be used to lock the chimney at
a particular height. Place the
check nuts to the required
height.
4. Remove the glass assembly of
the hood by opening the ten
screws. Keep this unit aside till
the chimney is mounted.
5. The hood is provided with two
service windows. Open these
windows to fit the chimney in
place.
6. M o u n t t h e h o o d on t h e
threaded bolts. Adjust the
height as per false ceiling
height and tighten the check
nuts to fix the chimney firmly in
place

lWhen Performing maintenance operations, disconnect the plug from the socket.
lThe efficiency of the chimney depends on the condition of the filters.
lThe filters should be washed as often as possible but at least once in 10 to 15
days in normal operating conditions.
lOpen the glass windows and remove the Baffle Filters by unlocking the levers.
lThe baffle & aluminium filters can be removed easily by unlocking.
Dip the filters for 10-15 minutes into a boiling hot soap solution and then wash in
running water. Dry and reinstall the filters.
lThe chimney surface should be cleaned with a damp cloth. No abrasive chemicals
should be used.
lThe metal filter may alter in color after several washes. This does not affect the
functional in any way and is not a cause for complaint or replacement.

the air outlet of the hood, using an elbow joint. Make sure that the maximum length does not exceed 5 meters. Limit
the number of elbows in the piping, since each elbow reduces the air capacity. Avoid abrupt direction changes. Use a
150 mm constant diameter pipe for the whole length.
8. Now fix the baffle filters and then fix the glass assembly unit with the help of ten screws.
9. Now connect the chimney to the electrical point. Check the functioning of the chimney by switching ON using the
push button provided.
10. For further operations a remote control has been provided.
11. The remote can be used to select the speed setting as per requirement and also to switch ON the light for
illumination of the hob area.

The control panel is provided with a speed selector switch and a hob light switch.
It also has a power ON indicator and a digital speed display.
The Remote Control has a speed selector button, a light button and a button for
Timer control.
DO’S & DON'T’S
lNo flame based cooking should be done below the chimney.
lWhile frying do not leave the cooking oil unattended as it may flare up and cause fire.
lClean all the oily residues on surface frequently to avoid fire.
lThe minimum distance between the cooktop and the bottom of he chimney must be 750 mm.
lMake sure that the supply voltage ratings correspond with the specifications provided in the User’s Guide.
lBefore using he chimney for the first time please ensure that all plastic films on baffle filter and stainless body are
removed.
lWash the filters as often as possible at least once in 10-15 days in normal operating conditions.
lWhen performing maintenance operations, disconnect the plug from the socket.
lNo repair work should be carried out by any unauthorised person.
lIn case the chimney is installed in the under construction Kitchens, it is advisable to install the Chimney, test it and then
again remove the same and pack in the box. As if the Chimney is left unattended the paints, chemicals, dust & moisture
etc if not cleaned timely may result in rust formation which will not be covered in the warranty.
lChimney should be used as per the directions given in the User’s Guide.
lDo not allow children to operate the chimney.
LIFETIME WARRANTY (On select models only)
To avail the lifetime warranty you need to register online within 90 days of your purchase.
To register online you need to do the following:
Log on to glen website www.capellaindia.com
Click on lifetime warranty, it will open a window there you need to feed the Lifetime Warranty unique ID, model number
and serial number of the chimney hood.
For LTW unique ID and serial number you need to open the chimneyhood. You will find two labels one for LTW unique ID
and other for serial number. (Never ever remove the labels otherwise the warranty becomes void).
If all your information is correct and matches with our record another window will open wherein you will need to fill the
personal details like name & address etc.
Once you complete the information and press submit a confirmation number will be given for future reference. Also one
confirmation mail with all details will be sent to your email id. You are requested to take printout of the same and keep it
safe. In case of any repair in future you will need to show this mail to the service engineer to avail the lifetime warranty.
Note: The offer lapses if not registered within 90 days of date of purchase.
The Life Time Warranty is offered on the following conditions:
lThe chimney should be used as per the directions give in the user’s guide. Defects caused by improper or reckless use
are not covered.
lAny damages due to the use of abrasive chemicals, or usage in extremely adverse atmosphere, i.e. Abnormally
corrosive/alkaline/acidic is not covered under warranty.
lThe warranty will not cover chimneys used for commercial purposes.
lThe chimney should have been serviced and cleaned at regular intervals at-least once in two months by a glen authorised
service centre failure to comply with this will render this warranty void. The cost of any such service will be borne by the
customer.
lNo installation/modification/alteration/service of any nature is made in the chimney by unauthorised persons. The
installation charges are to be borne by the customer.
lOnly the parts covered under LTW will be replaced free. Under warranty service/repair will be provided on FOC in the
municipality limit of the service centre.
lOutside the municipality limit of the service centre, minimum visiting charge of Rs. 500/- will be applicable or customer
may bring it to service centre at his own for free service/repair under warranty.
