1. Description.
The EXP2PUL is a transducer consists of two phoelectric sensors (Phototransistors), capable to acquire light pulses coming from an
energy meter and transform them into electrical signals.
2. Meter application.
Align the photoelectric sensors with leds placed on meter.
Use the double-sided tape to fix the interface.

Operation needs correct connections of wires respecting colours:
-brown : RA (active) higher LED
-blue: RR (reactive) lower LED
-black: GND (common)
Pulse weight is declared on meter’s silk-screen printing, set-up weight in proper mode. For small and medium size plants, normally,
weights corresponds respectively to 1 Wh and 1 varh per pulse. For bigger plants with amperometric transformers a correcting
factor can be present.
Use the double-sided tape available on the bottom side to fix the interface to meter’s plastic surface, taking care of dust and/or
liquids.

During the positioning, control the proper photosensor’s alignment with meter’s led. Led flashing can help to center the
photosensor’s position.
CAUTION: POD meter, in case of sampled power equal to ZERO, enlight RA LED continuosly until this condition persist. Datalogger
turns in error status, so all the measures sen twill be declared invalid. When the error condition stops, both meter and datalogger
restarts to count.
