Choosing a wireless bite alarm from Carp-Sounder
has made you choose one of the most reliable and
robust devices on the market. The units are 100%
waterproof and have a long range, depending on
the model, from approx. 150 m + to 450 m +.
With proper use and appropriate care, our bite
alarm will provide years of reliable service.
This manual is intended to familiarize you with the
operaon of this product. Always keep this manual
in a safe place so that you can access it at any me.

ROC XRS ACC Bite alarm:

ROC XRS ACC Bite alarm:
Signal tones:
The bite is displayed 1:1 by the XRS ACC Receiver.
Bite:
Bites are indicated by short notes corresponding to the
line movement. The LED of the bite alarm lights up for
approx. 16 seconds in the preset color. The lightbar indi-
cates a forward movement. The XRS ACC Receiver signals
a single tone and a 20-second LED.
Drop bite:
Bites are indicated by short double tones corresponding
to the line movement. The LED of the bite alarm lights up
in the preset color for approx. 16 seconds. The lightbar
indicates a backward movement. The boom LED of
the light bar ashes red. The XRS ACC Receiver signals a
double tone and a blinking LED for 20 seconds.

ROC XRS ACC Bite alarm:
Switch on the device:
Hold the buon (M) for approx. 3 seconds.
The device will now turn on and perform a baery level
measurement.
On the light bar, the state of charge of the baeries is
displayed.
= > 95%
= > 75%
=> 50%
=< 25%
=< 10%
Turn o the device:
Hold the buon (M) for approx. 3 seconds.
The device switches o aer a conrmaon tone.
Cauon:
Do not operate the keys with sharp objects or nger-
nails!

ROC XRS ACC Bite alarm:
Menu System:
The ROC XRS menu system allows you to make a variety
of sengs with just 3 buons and the lightbar. Press the
(M) buon to change the seng menus. The selected
menu is indicated by the ashing of the associated LED.
Adjustments are made with the (+) and (-) buons. The
menu will automacally quit aer 5 seconds if there is
no other key press.
5 =Radio coding
4 = Night light / ACC funcon
3 = LED color
2 = Sensivity
1 = Pitch
- = Volume

ROC XRS ACC Bite alarm:
Adjust the volume:
Aer switching on the device, the volume can be adjus-
ted using the (+) and (-) buons. The light bar and a test
tone show the set volume.
Adjust pitch:
Aer switching on the device, press the (M) buon once.
You are now in the Pitch Sengs menu. The boom LED
will now light for 5 seconds. You can now adjust the pitch
using the (+) and (-) buons. The lightbar and a test tone
indicate the adjusted pitch.
Adjust sensivity:
Aer switching on the device, press the (M) buon
twice. You are now in the Sensivity sengs menu. Sen-
sivity adjustment can now be made using the (+) and (-)
buons. The light bar indicates the set sensivity.

ROC XRS ACC Bite alarm:
Set LED color:
Aer switching on the device, press the (M) buon 3
mes. You are now in the sengs menu for the LED
color. The third LED will now light for 5 seconds. The ad-
justment of the LED color can now be done in 4 x 8 steps
with the keys (+) and (-).
The large LED indicates the set color.

ROC XRS ACC Bite alarm:
ACC funcon / Nightlight:
The ACC funcon allows the display of a pulsang light
on the receiver, which indicates the quality of the radio
connecon. The night light funcon switches on the LED
on the bite indicator permanently dimmed.
Aer switching on the device, press the (M) buon 4
mes. You are now in the sengs menu for the ACC
funcon and the night light.
The lower two LEDs of the light bar show whether the
ACC funcon or the night light is acve.
ACC funcon =OFF =OFF =ON =ON
Nightlight =OFF =ON =OFF =ON
Adjustment can be made with the (+) and (-) buons.

Set radio coding:
Aer switching on the device, press the (M) buon 5
mes. You are now in the sengs menu for radio coding.
The lower 3 LEDs of the light bar show the set CODE.

Adjustment can be made with the (+) and (-) buons.
The CODES of bite alarm and receiver must be set the
same to establish a radio connecon.

Light bar

ROC XRS ACC Bite alarm:
Changing the baery:
Open your bite alarm by loosening the four screws in
the corners of the case. Replace the baery inside with a
new one and close the housing again. Required baeries:
1 x 9 V block - 6LR61
Cauon: When closing the housing, make sure that the
seal is seated correctly and that no cable is trapped
between the housing halves. The waterghtness is then
no longer given.
Troubleshoong:
No funcon: baeries empty, defecve or inserted
incorrectly
No radio transmission: The coding does not match.
Radio interference: Due to the large number of radio
signals, preferably in the vicinity of residenal areas,
extraneous signals can become annoying. A change of
coding can remedy this situaon.

Signal tones:
The biteis displayed 1:1 by the XRS ACC receiver.
Vibraon (Fast Take):
Vibraons are indicated by brief sounds corresponding to
the movement of the rods. The XRS ACC receiver signals
a double tone and a blinking LED for 20 seconds.
Inclinaon (Slow Take):
The display of preferred bites is made by a single tone
sequence of 1 second long tones as long as the rod is
pulled forward. The XRS ACC receiver signals a single
tone and a 20-second LED.
Rip line tear (Cut Line):
An outline of the ripcord is indicated by an approx. 10 se-
conds long sequence of notes to bite alarms and receiver.
The XRS ACC receiver will show a 20-second LED.
Low Baery:
A weak baery is indicated by a dull double tone and a
red LED. A reminder follows hourly.

Switch on the device:
Hold the buon (M) for approx. 3 seconds.
The device will now turn on and perform a self-test. A
single tone indicates readiness for operaon.
By ashing the LED 3 mes, the baery charge status is
displayed.
Green ï❸ð > 80 %
Yellow ï❸ð = 50 %
Red ï❸ð < 20 %
Turn o the device::
Hold the buon (M) for approx. 3 seconds.
The device will now turn o. Turning O will be indicated
on the XRS ACC receiver with a double beep.
Adjust the volume:
When switched on, the volume can be adjusted using the
(-) and (+) buons.

Seng the sensivity of vibraon:
Press the buon (M) once. The LED now ashes blue
once and then displays the color of the set sensivity
level. Sengs only start aer the blue LED stops ashing.
You have 3 sec. Time for the sengs.
There are a total of 9 levels adjustable from which the
most sensive 3 are displayed with green LED. The
middle 3 with yellow LED and the 3 less sensive steps
with red LED.
With the buons (-) you can adjust the bite indicator so
that it is less sensive towards red.
With the (+) buon more sensive towards green. Aer
5 sec. Switches the Catsounder back into the bite display
mode.

Seng the sensivity of inclinaon:
Press the buon (M) twice (wait between the two buon
presses the blue ashing LED, only aer the second press
ash). The LED now ashes blue twice and then displays
the color of the set sensivity level.
There are a total of 9 levels adjustable from which the
most sensive 3 are displayed with green LED. The
middle 3 with yellow LED and the 3 less sensive steps
with red LED.
With the buons (-) you can adjust the bite indicator so
that it is less sensive towards red. With the (+) buon
more sensive towards green.
The lowest red level ❶ switches o inclinaon detec-
on completely (recommended for lateral shing by the
boat).

Catsounder XRS ACC Bite alarm:
Adjust pitch::
Press the buon (M) 3 mes. (wait between the two
key presses the blue ashing LED, only aer the ashing
the next push) The LED now ashes 3 mes blue. Now
you can adjust the pitch in 8 steps with the (-) and (+)
buons.
Set LED color:
Press the buon (M) 4 mes (wait between the two
buon presses for the blue ashing LED). The LED will
now ash blue four mes. Now the LED color can be
adjusted in 8 steps with the buons (-) and (+). You can
choose from red, yellow, green, blue, violet, turquoise,
white and LED.
