3. FLUID HEAD SETUP
1 - Place the FOCUS HD on your tripod by loosening the e-down
knob (11) under the Fluid Head and level using the level bubble (9).
In low light condions, press buon (9) for light.
2 - Connect the pan bar (12) to the Fluid Head ghtening the lever (2) on
the pan bar aachment and select your desired operang angle.
The telescopic pan bar lenght can be adjusted via lever (3).
3 - Lock both pan and lt brakes (5 and 6), turn both lt drag selector
(8) and counterbalance knob (10) to the minimum level.
4 - Open completely the camera plate lock lever (7) to release the camera
plate (1).
5 - Aach the camera plate (1) to the boom of the camera and
ghten the clamping screw to secure the camera, centering the camera
plate on the camera, keeping the center of gravity posion in mind.
6 - Place the camera sideways on top of the FOCUS HD, the wedge
plate will lock into place: The camera plate locking lever (7) will click
into an intermediate posion, so that you can slide the camera back &
forth to the best posion.
7 - Hold the camera in horizontal posion with the pan bar (12) and release
the lt brake lever (6). To nd the correct center of gravity posion,
slide the camera plate (1) back & forth ll you have achieved the
desired balance. Lock the camera plate lever (7) all the way trough.
8 - Set the counterbalance system by turning the balance knob clockwise
(10) to appropriate tension. The camera has to stay put at any lt angle.
Eventually ne tune by adjusng the sliding plate.
9 - Unlock the pan brake lever (5) and set the uid drag control by
adjusng selectors (4) and (8).
10 - When bubble light fails it is me to replace the baeries (9). Pull out
the bubble light baery tray.
