Quick Start
CasaTunes™ CT-2i and CT-3 Music System Quick Start Guide
Hardware Installation
1. For each room, plug one of the included audio cables between the Music System and your amplifier or AV
Receiver line input, if you are feeding a Home Theater. For the CT-2i, only use the Blue and Green connectors
on the Music System (Connectors in green box, above).
2. For the CT-2i, plug the pre-amp output (sometimes called line output) of your analog audio component into
the Pink connector, outlined in the green box, above (available only on CT-2i).
3. Plug a Network cable into the Music System (in jack with blue “Ethernet” label, above). Plug the other end
into your local area network (LAN), with connectivity to the internet.
4. If you are using CasaTunes Keypads, plug your Keypad Hub(s) into the USB connectors (in red box, above).
5. Plug the power supply into the jack on the left side (looking from front) of the chassis .
6. Start your Music System by tapping on the power button on the front. (Note: all audio cables must be
plugged into the Music System’s audio jacks before starting the computer!)

CasaSetup
1. You can run CasaSetup remotely on any computer connected to the LAN.
2. To run CasaSetup, start the browser (Safari, Internet Explorer 8 or higher, Firefox, Mozilla, Opera and
Chrome) on your computer. On a Windows PC, enter http://CasaServer/CasaSetup into the browser. On a
Mac browser enter http://CasaServer.local/CasaSetup. If the browser does not connect to the Music System,
check to make sure the Music System is connected to the same network as your computer (you should see
little lights where the network cable is plugged into the Music System). Some networks are set up too
securely for this to work properly, in which case, if you know the IP address of the System you can enter
http://serverIP/CasaSetup where serverIP is the IP address of the System. If this still does not work, you may
need to run CasaSetup directly on the Music System using the following directions. If you are able to
successfully start CasaSetup, skip the next step.
3. If you are not able to connect using your remote computer, you can follow the directions on the sheet “How
to manage the CasaTunes Music System remotely” that was included with your Music System. Then, when
connected to the Music System, simply start Internet Explorer on the Music System and enter
http://localhost/CasaSetup
4. Click on each of the buttons at the top of the CasaSetup page and make any other necessary changes.
CasaSetup is easy to use, but if you have any problems click on help.
5. Note that your license number, as well as the Windows license, is on the bottom of the Music System.
The system is now ready for use. ENJOY!
