DISASSEMBLY/ASSEMBLY
Precautions Before Disassembling Parts
• When reassembling the parts, reverse the disassembly procedures.
If
[ Note on reassembling ]
is stated, be sure to follow it.
• Use the right screwdriver according to the screw diameter.
• When disassembling or reassembling parts, do not pinch or damage wires.
• When reassembling FPC (cable), be sure that its orientation is correct. The contacts of the FPC are on one side
only.

The following tools are necessary when replacing maintenance parts.

1. Removing the LOWER CASE BLOCK
(1) Slide the battery cover lock switch to the “Unlock”
position () and remove the COVER ASSY/BATTERY.

(2) Remove the battery pack, microSD card and SIM card (dummy card).

(3) Undo eight screws.
NOTE: There are 2 types of screws.

NOTE: The S1 screws are torx head type.

(4) Remove the LOWER CASE BLOCK.

NOTE: These parts come off when the LOWER CASE BLOCK is removed.
[ Note on reassembling ] Make sure not to forget to assemble all these parts.

2. Removing the BRACKET BLOCK
(1) Remove the FPC/LED.
NOTE: The FPC/LED is secured by adhesive. Reuse the adhesive at reassembly.
(2) Remove the FPC/SPEAKER.
NOTE: The FPC/SPEAKER is secured by adhesive. Reuse the adhesive at reassembly.
(3) Remove the MIC/RUBBER.
(4) Remove the FPC/MIC.
NOTE: The FPC/MIC is secured by adhesive. Reuse the adhesive at reassembly.

(5) Remove the FPC/REAR-CAMERA.
[ Note on reassembling ] Check if the FPC/REAR-CAMERA is securely connected.
(6) Undo four screws.

(7) Open the BRACKET BLOCK.
(8) Disconnect the connector of the vibrator.

3. Removing the MAIN PCB
(1) Peel off the tape (8 pcs.).
NOTE: Three diff erent kinds of tapes are used. Need to use new tape at reassembly.

(2) Release the connector lock and remove the FPC/MIC.
(3) Release the connector lock and remove the FPC/LED.
(4) Release the connector lock and remove the FPC/SPEAKER.
NOTE: The connector is secured by double-face tape.
(5) Release the connector lock and remove the fi ve FPCs.
NOTE: The black part is the connector.

(6) Release two connectors.
(7) Release the connectors.
NOTE: The connector is secured by double-face tape. Reuse double-face tape at reassembly.
(8) Remove the SUB-BATTRY.
NOTE: The SUB-BATTERY is secured by double-face tape.
[ Note on reassembling ] Please attach the SUB-BATTRY after screwing the MAIN PCB.
(9) Undo four screws.

[ Note on reassembling ] After reassembling the PCB, make sure that 8 FPCs are sticking out of the
PCB.

(10) Remove the PCB ASSY/MAIN.

4. Removing the IO ASSY
(1) Remove the GASKETTAPE.
(2) Undo two screws.

(3) Remove the ASSY/IO.
NOTE: The ASSY/IO is fi xed by double-face tape (3 pcs.).

NOTE: Not reusable. Replace with the new one.
[ Note on reassembling ] First, completely remove the adhesive attached to both case and ASSY/IO.
Then, attach the new D-TAPE/ASSY/IO to the case.
NOTE: EMI tape has damage during disassemble and need to use new IO Assy.

5. Removing the LCD BLOCK
(1) Remove the FPC.
NOTE: The FPC is secured by double-face tape.
(2) Remove the BRACKET/LCD.
NOTE: Since the hooks are hardly engaged, release them using a fl at-blade screwdriver or the like.

[ Note on reassembling ] First, insert the upper part of the UPPER CASE BLOCK, and then assemble it while
paying attention to the FPC of the LCD BLOCK.
[ Note on reassembling ] Make sure that no dirt or dust is on the LCD surface.
(3) Peel off the tape.
(4) Remove the LCD BLOCK.

[ Note on reassembling ] Pay attention to the mounting orientation.
