3.5Setup
3.5.1 Setup location requirements:
To ensure safe and trouble-free operation of your cooktop, we
recommend selecting a setup location that meets the following
prerequisites:
•The appliance must be positioned on a solid, even, horizontal
heat-resistant base capable of supporting the appliance itself
along with any associated cookware, utensils and supplies.
•Select an installation location where children cannot reach the
appliance’s hot surface.
•The appliance is not intended as a built-in appliance.
•Do not set up the device in a hot, wet or extremely damp
environment or near flammable material.
•To operate correctly, the appliance requires a sufficient flow
of air. Leave a 6 inch (15 cm) gap on all sides when setting up
the appliance.
•The electrical socket must be easily accessible so that the
power cord can be disconnected easily, in the case of an
emergency.
•The installation and assembly of this device in non-stationary
setup locations (e.g. on ships) must be carried out by a
qualified electrician, provided they guarantee the prerequisites
for the safe use of this device.

CASO TG300 15
3.6Electrical connection
In order to ensure the safe and trouble-free operation of the
device, the following instructions must be observed for the
electrical connection:
•Before connecting the device, compare the connection data
(voltage and frequency) on the rating plate with those of your
electrical network. This data must agree in order that no
damages occur in the device.
If in doubt, ask your qualified electrician.
•The electrical outlet must be protected by a 16A safety cut-out
switch.
•The connection between the device and the electrical network
may employ a 3 meter long (max.) extension cable with a
cross-section of 1.5 mm². The use of multiple plugs or gangs
is prohibited because of the danger of fire that is involved with
this.
•Make sure that the power cable is undamaged and has not
been installed under the oven or over hot or sharp surfaces.
The electrical safety of the device is only guaranteed if the
device is connected to a properly installed protective
conductor system. Operations using an electrical outlet
without a protective conductor are prohibited. If in doubt,
have the house installation checked over by a qualified
electrician.
The manufacturer cannot be made responsible for damages
that are caused by a missing or damaged protective
conductor.

5.1Operating the grill/griddle
Please note
►To ensure safety and conserve energy, switch the appliance
to the “off” position immediately after use
►Unplug the appliance when left unused for extended periods
of time.
1. Place the base on a clean, flat surface where you intend to
cook.
2. Remove any excess packaging material or dust from the unit
by wiping the base, grill plate and drip tray with a damp
cloth. Dry thoroughly before using.
3. Place the drip tray inside the base on the left side as shown
in the image (pg. 17 image 5a).
4. Place the grill/griddle plate on the base with the power
source on the right hand side. The cooking surface that will
be used should be facing up.
5. Plug the temperature dial into the power source on the right
side of grill/griddle plate.
6. Once the temperature dial is plugged into the plate, plug the
cord into the wall outlet.
7. Select a power level from 1-10 by turning the dial clockwise.
The indicator light will illuminate when power levels 2-10 are
selected to indicate the power is on. If the grill/griddle plate
is removed from the base while the unit is plugged in, the
indicator light and power will automatically turn off.
8. Preheat the grill 7-14 minutes before use to ensure optimal
temperature is reached.
9. When grilling vegetables, fish or lean meat, spread a thin
layer of vegetable oil on the grill plate.
10.When grilling beef or marinated meat, it is not necessary to
oil the grill.
11.When finished grilling turn the dial to the “off” position,
remove the plug from the outlet first, then unplug the
temperature dial from the grill/griddle plate.
12. Let the grill cool completely before moving and/or cleaning.
13.Discard the fat in the drip tray carefully.
Please note

CASO TG300 19
►Do not use metal utensils on the grill/griddle plate
►Do not allow sharp objects to come in contact with the
grill/griddle plate.
►The grill/griddle plate is not attached to the base. Do not
move the unit while cooking. When picking up the unit, lift
from the base.
►Grilling time depends on the type of food, initial temperature
of the food and its thickness. Use a meat thermometer to
test for internal temperature in order to determine doneness
levels.
►During grilling, turn the food so that both sides are cooked
evenly.
6 Cleaning and Maintenance
This chapter provides you with important notices with regard to
cleaning and maintaining the device. Please observe the
notices to prevent damages.
6.1Safety information Attention
Please observe the following safety notices, before you clean
the device:
►Switch the device to off. Allow the unit to cool completely
prior to cleaning.
►Unplug the cord from the wall outlet first, then remove the
temperature dial from the grill/griddle plate.
►The unit must be cleaned and food residues must be
removed after each use. If the unit is not cleaned properly,
damage may occur and could result in the growth of fungus
and bacteria.
►Remove the grill/griddle plate for cleaning and wipe down
the base separately to ensure liquid does not fall into the
base through the drainage holes. If liquid gets into the base
it can damage the electronic components.
►Handwash all components and do not immerse the base,
grill/griddle plate, temperature dial or drip tray in water or
other liquids. Do not put any of the components in the
dishwasher.
►Do not use any aggressive or abrasive cleaning agents
or solvents. Use only liquid soap and cleaning brushes that
are recommended for non-stick surfaces.

CASO TG300 20
6.2Cleaning
6.2.1 The base The base must be wiped clean after each use with a damp
cloth. Do not allow food particles or grease to collect on the
surface.
6.2.2 The grill plate The grill plate must be cleaned with hot soapy water after each
use. Food particles or grease that is caked on the surface leads
to adhesion or baking.
7 Disposal of the Old Device
To protect the environment, it’s important to dispose of old
electronic devices properly. Do not place your old grill/griddle or
any of its components in the non-recyclable waste under any
circumstances
Please note
