1.0INTRODUCTION
This4X2MatrixHDMISWITCH SPLITTERbycat5e/6offersunprecedented
flexibilityand conveniencebyrouting high definition audio/video fromanyoffour
HDMIvideosourcestoanyof2displaysover HDMIcableor2remotedisplays
overinexpensive,standard CAT5e/6cable.It eliminatestheneed todisconnect
andreconnectsourcestoadisplayequippedwithone input.
Tworeceiversworkwiththe SwitchSplitterasafull functionalmodule.Full
High-ResolutionHDTVsignalsare supportedup toaresolution of1080p over
HDMIcable15moratamaximumdistanceof.40Mover twopiecesofCAT5e/6
cable.The4X2MatrixHDMISWITCH SPLITTERworks withHD-DVDplayers,
TiVosystems,HTPCs,and satelliteset-topboxesthatconnecttoan HDMI
display. Everysourceanddisplayisaccessibleat alltimesbyselectingitwithan
IRremote,,frontpanelbuttonsorthroughRS232 port.

1)ConnectallsourcedevicestotheHDMI inputson the SwitchSplitter.
2) Either HDMIorUTPcan beselected assignaloutputforOutputA/B. When
choosingthe HDMIassignaloutput, connectdisplaysandmainunitdirectly

overHDMIcable.Whenchoosing UTP assignaloutput,connect receiversand
mainunitover cat5e/6cable, and then connectoutputofreceiverstodisplays.
(Note:HDMIandUTP ofeachoutput cannotbeconnected simultaneously)
3) Connectthe5V@2Apower supplytothe SwitchSplitter,and 5V@2Apower
supplytoeachreceiver.
Note:1)Pleasemakesure tocutoffthe powerbeforeinsertIRExtenderintothe
Converter.
2) Pleasemakesuretoinserttheplug ofIRExtenderintotheConverter
completely.

5.2Operation
1)Whensuppliedwithpower,the outputAandoutput B willselectInput1atthe
same.
2) Selectingsourcedevicesbybuttons
TwobuttonsontheSwitchSplitterareused toselectsourcedevicescircularly
foroutputsA and B. Onceyou pressthebutton, it willselectnextavailablesource
device.
3) SelectingsourcedevicesbyIRremote
1.Power button
The powerbuttonoftheIRremotecancontrolthepower ofthe Switch
Splitter.Pressing thisbutton,thepower-onunitwillbeturned off.If you
pressitagain,the unitwillbeturned on.
2.Otherbuttons
Depending on outputsA, B, theotherbuttonsofthe IRremotecan be
divided intofour groups.Eachgroup hasfivebuttons: ‘off—turn offits
outputs. 1,2, 3, 4are usedtoselectinputport accordingly.
4) SelectingsourcedevicesbyRS232
①.Introduction ofRS232 remoteoperation:
RS232 remoteoperation ismainlybased onthe “super terminal”of
Windowsoperationsystem.Itsparameter shouldbe: ANSI4800 8-N-1-non

A. Connectthe switchsplittertothe COMofPCwithaRS232cable.
B. ChosetherightCOMwhenyousetting “superterminal”andthensetthe
parameter asfollow:

C. Inputting yourinstruction.Theinstruction shouldbetwoor three letter, and
finishwith “Enter”button.

will appear.
Theinputinstructionshouldbe right,oryouwillbe rejected withthe “wrong
instruction”
If the inputor outputthatyou choseisnotconnectedtodevicesor notin
power-on mode, “ineffectiveinstruction”willinformyou.
If yourinstructionisperformed,youcan seethe instructionof “successful
operation”.
