PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The IMPERISYS Home Controller (CHC) provides the communication interface between IMPERISYS storage devices and
the installation’s internet connection. IMPERISYS storage devices include:
 Ecombi ETS heating units
 IMPERISYS equipped domestic electric water heaters
Each CHC ‘bridges’ the wireless communication from the IMPERISYS storage devices to the internet and from there, to
the IMPERISYS web based dashboard.
PACKAGE CONTENTS
Each CHC package includes the following pieces:
1 x Central Home Controller Unit
1 x Whip Antenna , Shenzhen Sida P/N: SA5JB2.4SMA
1 x 120VAC to 5VDC Power Adapter
1 x 6’ CAT6 Ethernet Patch Cable
4 x wood screws with optional hollow wall fasteners

INSTALLATION
Installation of a CHC requires mounting the unit in a central location, preferably close to a wired Ethernet jack for access
to the location’s internet. Choosing an optimal location involves minimizing the distance to the IMPERISYS storage
devices, having access to a power outlet and access to a wired internet connection.
NOTE (1): This device is intended to be installed by trained professional personnel using ONLY
the antenna and equipment supplied with product. Installation by any other persons or with any
other antenna or equipment not supplied with this product violates the conditions of product
compliance and certification.
REMARQUE (1): Cet appareil est destiné à être installé par un personnel professionnel qualifié
utilisant UNIQUEMENT l'antenne et les équipements fournis avec le produit. L'installation par
toute autre personne ou avec toute autre antenne ou équipement non fourni avec ce produit
enfreint les conditions de conformité et de certification du produit.
NOTE (2): The antenna used for this radio must be properly installed and maintained and must
provide a separation distance of at least 20 cm (8 Inches) from all persons and must not be
collocated or operated in conjunction with any other antenna or transmitter. Never transmit if any
person is closer than the specified distance to the antenna.
REMARQUE (2): L’antenne utilisée pour cette radio doit être correctement installée et
entretenue. Elle doit respecter une distance minimum de 20 cm (8 pouces) de l’utilisateur et ne
doit pas être installée à proximité ou utilisée conjointement avec tout autre antenne ou émetteur.
N’utilisez pas votre radio si vous ne respectez pas la distance spécifiée.
The wired internet connection must provide DHCP and allow outgoing traffic.
1. Mount the CHC to a wall or fixture at the chosen installation location
2. Connect the CHC to the internet with a CAT6 patch cable
3. Attach the whip antenna to the antenna jack on the CHC
4. Connect the power adapter to the CHC and plug it into a power outlet

INDICATORS
The CHC has four LED indicators. They provide the following information:
 Red LED This is the power indicator and it will light up when power is applied to the CHC
 Orange LED Flashes to indicate the radio unit is working
 Green LEDs Indicates when a CHC relay has been energized and closed it’s contacts
TROUBLESHOOTING
If you are experiencing problems with CHC, please check the following:

Possible Solution
There are no LED indicators lit on the unit
Replace the power adapter with a working unit
Power is on, but the orange LED is not flashing
Replace the CHC
LED indicators are correct, but the Thermoztor
Dashboard shows the CHC is offline
Check the internet connection with a laptop to determine the
CHC can access the internet
IMPERISYS Dashboard shows the CHC is online,
but the storage devices are offline
 Relocate the CHC to reduce the range between the CHC
and the storage devices
 Install one or more IMPERISYS repeaters between the
CHC and the storage devices
