3.2 Cable and mounting installation precautions
(1) Danger electrical shock, this equipment is usually installed outdoors. Wet conditions
increase the potential for receiving an electric shock when installing or using
electrically powered equipment. To prevent electrical shock when installing or
modifying the system power wiring, disconnect the wiring at the power source
before working with insinuated wires or terminals.
(2) Make sure that the antenna connectors and the antenna cable connectors are clean
And dry.
(3) The RF cables must not be kinked, cut, or damaged in any way.
(4) Connect the RF cables to the antennas, use caution not to strip the connectors. The
connection should be snug and tight.
(5) Seal the connectors with either a waterproof sealant or the appropriate weather tight
boot.
(6) Make sure that the AC power is suitable for the repeater in use:
(7) Make sure that all indoor repeaters are installed without direct sun radiation and rain
protection.
(7) Whenever loose cables are left on the ground, a clear sign must be added to warn
passing pedestrians of the danger of entanglement.
(8)Always connect RF connectors to repeater before applying AC supply!

4 Operating Environment
(1) Indoor Repeaters
Cellvine's indoor repeaters are intended for installation in indoor places only. Do not install them
where they might be exposed to direct sunlight and rain\snow conditions as this could result in the
destruction of the unit and other hazards. For normal operation, the environmental conditions
should be as follows:
Ambient temperature range: –5 °C to 45 °C, Maximum Humidity: 90 %.
(2) Outdoor Repeaters
Cellvine's outdoor repeaters can be placed outdoor or indoor. It is recommended that the
repeaters will not be installed, if possible, in direct sunlight radiation. These repeaters are
designed to work in outdoor conditions as follows:
oAmbient temperature range: –15 °C to 65 °C
oRain\snow waterproof. According to IP65 standard.
5 Before Installation
You will need to determine the following before beginning the Repeater installation:
•Base station output power matches the repeater input power ranges.
•Where to install the antenna.
•Where to locate the repeater.
•Length and type of coaxial cable needed to connect from the outdoor antenna to the
repeater unit
•Length and type of coaxial cable needed to connect from the repeater unit to the BTS
RF output.

General Background
Cellvine Devices with controller can be fully controlled and monitored from local connection and from a
distance with a graphical software utility (GUI).
This interface allows tuning of all the repeater parameters during installation and during further optimization
stages. These parameters include gain settings, power settings, alarms settings and more. The repeater’s read
outs are also displayed in a convenient way to learn the repeater's status.
The local software is basically needed so the costumer can evaluate the product and test it in a lab if he
wishes to do so, it also can assist in the installation procedure & solve problems in case that the cellular
modem is not functioning properly.
The remote software is needed in order to solve problems from a distance. Each time the user locates a
problem hecan operate the "Repeater Remote Software", analyze and if possible fix the problem.
The communication is based on UDP communication , which is very low cost communication and still
enables fast and fluent communication.

"Channel Selective Local Software":
Basically the repeater is a "stand alone" device and contains a controller which maintains it's
Normal functioning, only if any major problem or failure accurse the user should access the repeater from
distance
The communication scheme is based upon UDP method. The UDP advantage is to allow low cost and fast
communication network.
This software tool is operated by a PC connected to a modem by RS 232 cable (or directly through RS-232
in local software case).
