User
Manual
This manual covers the daily operation of the device using photographs and step-by-step guides.
There is also technical information on the Centrego 5K40 device and other information to support
device use.
If any further information is needed, please contact the manufacturer.
On-site ECA solution generator
Once the Centrego 5K40 device has been
installed on location, there is only the
need to check salt and water
levels for optimum operation.
The machine will produce disinfectant
solution on-site at a very low cost.
This significantly reduces the need
for purchasing synthetic chemical
disinfection products.

2.1 Caution Use Only As Directed
• Use solution only for disinfection.
• DO NOT use in an enclosed space. Use only in a well-ventilated area.
• For industrial use only.
• DO NOT spray into your eyes. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with
plenty of water and seek medical advice.
• DO NOT swallow the activated solution. If swallowed, seek medical advice.
• DO NOT use this unit and activated solution near fire.
• Wash hands after use. People with sensitive or damaged skin should avoid
prolonged contact with the product.
• Keep out of the reach of children and pets.
2.2 Directions for Safe Use
• DO NOT move the unit during operation.
• STORE SOLUTION SAFELY – Do not keep the activated ECA solution in the refrigerator or kitchen, catering areas
xxxxxxgxxxxxxgwhere it can be confused with drinking water.
• Produce only as much fluid as necessary and use as instructed. Use activated solutions
within 1 week – sterilising and deodorising power is reduced gradually over time.
• Unused solutions can be disposed of with care.
• Avoid direct exposure of the unit to the sun or central heating. This might cause fire or damage.
• DO NOT use ground water, polluted water or excessively hard water with the machine.
• DO NOT use any other input apart from normal mains/tap water.
2.3 Water quality
• The water supply MUST be from potable tap water with limited hardness.
• If in a hard water area, a water softener is recommended.
• Low calcium water is recommended.
• DO NOT use ground water, polluted water or excessively hard water.
CAUTION - Potentially Hazardous Situation
DANGER - Electric shock risk

2.4 General safety
3.0 Machine overview
3.1 Machine description
The Centrego 5K40 produces ECA (Electro chemically activated) disinfection solution on-site using salt and
water. Sea water can also be used. ECA disinfectant solution is an eco-alternative to most disinfection
products.
The Centrego 5K40 is capable of producing 40 litres of solution every hour. The device will acept table and
granulated salt mixed with water (brine), or sea water which is activated in the cell through electrolysis.
3.2 Intended use of device
The Centrego 5K40 is intended to be used in large industrial facilities where disinfection is require part of
cleaning-in place practices.
3.3 Intended use of ECA soluton
The intention of using ECA solution for disinfection is an evironmentaly responsable system in that it can
reduce a company's way that it reduces a companies carbon footprint due to negating the need for
disposable disinfection products and the plastic that comes with it. It also means that staff are safer due to
the solution being hypoallergenic and not harmfull to the skin.

11.0 ECA cell information
General Safety
For your own safety and to be able to use this generator in a correct way it is important that
you carefully read through this manual, including tips and warnings before using it for the
rst time. In order to avoid unnecessary mistakes and accidents; it is important that
everyone who manages the generator to have good knowledge of its area of use and its
safety features. Save this manual and ensure that it accompanies the chlorinator if it is
moved so that all users have accurate safety information and information on how to
ualmanage it.
• It is dangerous to alter the specications or attempt to modify this product in any way.
• The electrolysis equipment is not intended for use by persons with reduced physical or
sensory ability, or lack of sensory ability, or lack of experience and knowledge if they are not
instructed and supervised by a person responsible for their safety.
• Repairs carried out by inexperienced sta can result in injury or serious malfunctioning.
Always contact your dealer or our service department. Always insist on genuine spare parts.
About the solution produced by this cell
The electrolysis equipment from Centrego Water Treatment Systems produces active
chlorine in the form of sodium hypochlorite which is used for disinfection of water in
municipalities, hotels, oil and gas, food processing and industrial processes.
Electrolysis equipment produces hypochlorite from salted water and DC current.
Electrolysis is the most energy, cost and work environment eective way to supply a ECA
hypochlorite solution. When solution is produced on site there is no need for transporting,
handling or unnecessary storing of
active chemicals.

13.0 Troubleshooting
REPORTED ISSUE TRIAGE POINTS
No power.
The device is not turning on.
The screen is not coming on as
well as no sound from the inside of
the device.
The device is not working.
Check that the power plug is
working by checking other devices
in the wall socket.
Check the property power and
fuse box.
Try a different plug if possible.
Check that the power cable is fully
pushed into the wall power socket
and clipped in.
A strong smell of chlorine
Solution smells more potent than
usual.
If there is a strong smell of chlo-
rine, your device has been adapted
to produce a high PPM solution,
and therefore, this is normal.
Check the water input to the
device is working correctly. If the
mains water stops, the machine
will start producing very high PPM
solutions, giving a strong smell of
chlorine following the machine
shutting down.
E-Stop active shows on the touch
screen, and the machine is not
working.
The E-Stop has been activated,
and therefore the machine will
not proceed with ECA production
until the E-Stop is released. The
E-Stop button is the red button on
the front of the device. To release,
twist the button clockwise until the
button clicks. The E-stop has been
released when 'E-Stop active' no
longer shows on the touch screen.
Front door of main device will not
close.
There are metal keys that can be
used to lock the front door of the
device. If the door is locked, then
the door will stay closed.
Check for any obstructions in the
door, such as pipes.
'Moisture Alarm' is showing on the
touch screen.
Check inside of device for
moisture. Resolve any leak if found
'Loss of Water', or water flow error
shows on the touch screen.
This means that the water input
into the device from the mains has
reduced pressure and flow. This
could mean that the water input
has been turned off via an isolation
tap, or the mains water has been
turned off.
Check that the water input pipe
has not been bent or kinked, stop-
ping the water flow from the water
mains into the device.
Toucan screen shows progress bar
and or whirring circle.
This means that the device has
just been turned on, and the sys-
tem is starting up. Please wait until
the menu appears, and the device
will be ready to go.
There are bubbles in the solution
that is being produced by the
machine.
Due to the process that makes
ECA Solution, there will be a small
amount of gas produced as a
by-product. These bubbles in the
gas confirm that this process is
working correctly. If you see
bubbles in the output solution,
then this is normal.
The 5K40 device makes an audible,
rhythmic humming noise when it
produces the solution.
This device uses a pump, amongst
other components. These parts
will make an audible sound when
in use. This is normal and confirms
that the device is working correctly.
If you are unsure about the sound
or it changes significantly, Get in
touch with a qualified technician.
