Tools and materials needed to rebuild the drum unit
PH#2 screwdriver
Small flat bit screwdriver
Awl
Tweezers
Toner vacuum cleaner
Lint free cloth
Cotton swabs
Conductive grease
Two paper clips

cleaning blade
Drum Unit rebuild instructions for

M5526cdn/cdw) using the CET CET501010 Drum Rebuild Kit
Remove the spring that goes between the flat portion of the drum axle and the grey handle.
Release the drum axle locking tab with an awl (the locking tab is located behind the spring and the grey
handle), then push the end of the drum axle a bit to get it out of the opening in the grey handle
Pull out the drum axle from the opposite end you were working on
Remove the OPC drum, sliding out the tab on the spring hub
Remove the drive hub using a tweezers
Remove the OPC drum drive gear from the old OPC drum
Pry off the PCR from the white PCR saddle using a small flat bit screwdriver
Remove the PCR saddles with their springs using a tweezers
Remove the two screws holding the cleaning blade using a PH#2 screwdriver
Remove the cleaning blade using a small flat bit screwdriver to help pry it off.
Lift the cleaning blade on non-gear side first in order not to break the plastic boss – see below.
