Quick Start Guide
1Unpack the Grass Trimmer
a) Open carton carefully and remove all items
b) Ensure you have all items (see above) before you discard the packaging

For your Safety
You must fit the guard provided for your safety. Remove the screw, spring washer and nut from the guard (see Fig 1).
Place the guard over the lower shaft (see Fig 2), replace the screw, spring washer and nut and tighten (see Fig 3)
Also fit the centre handle. Undo the locking Knob and remove the bolt (see Fig 4) push, the handle over the upper shaft (see Fig 5), replace
the bolt and secure with locking knob (see Fig 6). Fit the carry strap to the unit with the clip to the hook on the upper shaft (see Fig 7)
2Assembling the Grass Trimmer
Connect bottom shaft (1) to Upper shaft & engine (2) making sure the square drive shaft on lower shaft (1) is inserted into square drive on
upper shaft (2) correctly and ensure the spring loaded locking clip is aligned with the hole provided and in clipped into place. Then tighten
the securing knob. If the drive is not correctly inserted then the spool will not turn.

Fuel / Lubrication
a) Mix the fuel in the mixer bottle provided
b) Shake the container gently to ensure that it is properly mixed.
N.B Failure to use the correct oil/fuel mixture will cause the
engine to seize

Fuel Mixture is
40:1 (40 parts Fuel to 1
part 2 stroke oil)
Use regular grade unleaded
petrol and quality 2 stroke oil

1) Set the machine down on a hard, level surface.
2) Add the fuel to the grass trimmer.
3) Set Choke lever to .
4) Push primer bubble 10 times.
5) Set the ON/OFF switch to "1".
6) With one hand, press the throttle lock and also the throttle
lever, whilst also holding the machine firmly.
7) With the other hand, tug sharply on the starter cable 10 times.
NOTE: amount of choke will vary slightly depending on the
external temperature.
8) After the engine has started, allow it to warm up and then move
the choke lever to .
To stop the machine immediately, set the ON/OFF switch to
“STOP” or “0”.
