SMART CONTROL WIFI MODULE USER GUIDE
The APFSC Smart Control Wi-Fi module can be wired to a Force 10 / Force 48 intruder panel. The APFSC will
send alarm notifications via the building Wi-Fi to your Android™ or iOS® App.

Note: When PIR or N.C. is not connected then the J7 jumper link should be moved to the left side.
When using PIR or NC, the J7 jumper link should be on the right side and Force10 in Full set Mode.
This port is not valid on disarm.

Important Note:
•Please ensure the relevant checks and calculations for the alarm system current loading has been
performed to ensure the control panel has enough current capacity to power the APFSC unit.
This will need to be calculated to ensure the control panel PSU is not exceed in quiescent and
alarm conditions (an additional separate PSU may be required).
•If you have a power cut or the power is lost to your router/Wi-Fi unit then the APFSC will be
unable to forward any notifications to your mobile device/App. Communication will also need to
be active to your internet provider.
•Ensure the APFSC is installed away from any other 2.4 GHz products, such as other wireless
networks, Bluetooth systems or microwave ovens, as interference could be an issue.
•The APFSC will not work and is not supported on 5ghz, ONLY2.4G Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n supported
•Ensure the appropriate location of the APFSC to ensure a good strong Wi-Fi connection.
HOW IT WORKS
The APFSC Wi-Fi dialer must be within range of the Wi-Fi® router with which you want to connect. After
binding between the device and the APP, you can get access the device status to monitor your property.
Installation
Prior to installing please ensure the check the desired location has a strong Wi-Fi signal.
Remove the outer cover and mount the backplate using appropriate fixings.

1. Set Up
App Download
System Requirement: Smartphones/Tablets with iOS 8.0, Android 6.0 or above.
Go to Google Play and Apple Store to search for "Keep Contact" and download the App

2User Account and Sensor Setup
There are two types of user accounts: “Main User”and “Sub User”. When registering and binding
the device to a Smartphones/Tablets with Dialer is defined as Main User. Then the “Main User”
can share the QR code with other Smartphones/Tablets for creating “Sub User”. Each APFSC dialer
can bind up to 1 “Main user”and “10 Sub users”.

2.1. Sign Up, Login and Password Restore
2.1.1 Account Registration
An email address is required for the registration. Press “Register new account” ③ at the Login
page and follow the instructions to create your Account.
⚫input [Username], [Password] and [Email]
⚫click "Sign up" ④, the verification code will be sent to the email address
⚫input [Verification]⑤
⚫finally, click the “Confirm”⑥to complete the process
2.1.2 User Login
If you already have an APP account, please select "Login” ①by entering your user name and
password information and go to the next steps “Device List”⑦
2..1.3 Password Restore
If you forget your password? Click on the "Forget Password" ②at Login Page. The steps are
similar to Account Registration.
3. Connecting Devices
User may add a device through "Add Device" and "Scan QR code". Please note that there are no
devices at first login.
3.1 Use Keep Contact App for Connection
Ensure the dialer, mobile and router with a good signal (within 3 meters), Please note that 5Ghz
channel routing is not supported. Then, connect the mobile device to the same Wi-Fi you want the
APFSC to be connected too, (please ensure "Guest" networks are selected) perform the following
steps;

⚫Open the App “Keep Contact”and select "Add Device" ⑨. The SSID of Wi-Fi is displayed.
⚫Enter the Wi-Fi password
⚫Then, press and hold the [Program button] of the APFSC Dialer for 6 seconds. The Red LED ○

will flash that the Dialer is now under connecting mode
⚫Click the “Start airlink” button on the App to start the connection process (please be patient).
If successful the LED will turn green and the App will display the below screen message, to
name the device and enter your disarm code, this code can be different to your alarm code.
⚫If the airlink failed to bind, then the LED flashes 60 seconds.
Note: The Red LED ○
12 will be 'Green" color normally. It will be "Red" colour for 1 second when the
Dialer is triggered (Arm/Disarm/Endpoint alarm), the Dialer sends data to Server.
3.2 Scan QR Code
After the APFSC Dialer has been added, the main User can generate a QR code to allow another
user to register the device. The QR code is valid for approximately 10 minutes after being
generated. Other user opens the Keep Contact App and can scan this QR code to add this device.

4 Functions
4.1 Check Device Status
All registered Dialer(s) is displayed on "Device List" page ⑦. When you click one of the items, it
will enter the corresponding operation interface of the device ○

terminal is shown on the right○

name ("green" indicates normal monitoring, "red" indicates an alarm is occurring, "black" indicates
that the terminal is not connected),○
19 Wi-Fi connected indicates that the connection to the Router
network is normal, and Wi-Fi disconnected indicates that the connection to the
Router network is not normal. Check if the Router network is normal every 2 hours
4.2 Arm Disarm
Click the button○

current user does not have right to set ***
4.4 Change Device Name and Icon
The Dialer can be named according to user preference (i.e. Main Door, refrigerator.....etc). Only
Main user has right for the setting. The Icon can be set by both Main and Sub user
4.5 Enable and Disable the Open/Close Push Notification
Main and Sub user can enable and disable the Open/Close Push Notification of each Dialer
Installed individually.
4.6 Change disarm password
Users corresponding to the device can change the password. The password only works when the
current user operates disarm
4.7 Set endpoint name
Only Main user can set the endpoint name, Main user can set the corresponding name as
required

4.8 Check alarm event
Alarm event including arm, disarm and endpoint alarm
Both Main and Sub user can check the alarm event. Click the “Event”○

4.09 Manage Sub User
Only Main user can manage Sub user, include add and delete user; Click the “Management”○

⚫Select "Delete user", those email address of Sub users is listed and click the Delete ○

Maintenance & Servicing
To ensure correct functionality and reliability of you alarm system a competent engineer should service you
alarm system annually. Repairs should only be carried out by a suitably qualified person.
The unit should be tested once a month to ensure correct functionality.
To clean the unit should be done with a soft damp cloth, do not use any chemicals or abrasives.
Environment, Disposal and Recycling
Please do not dispose the packaging as unsorted waste, use the recycling facilities provided by your local
authorities.
When the unit comes to the end of its life or you choose to update or upgrade by replacing it, then do not
dispose with your normal house hold waste. Please recycle where facilities exist. When you need to dispose
of this fitting, check with your retailer or local authority for suitable options.
