Channel Vision’s and are 80, 200,
and 320GB Hard Drives for use with Digital Video Recorders. These are
standard IDE computer Hard Drives that have been selected to work well
with Channel Vision’s DVRs. This general quick start guide is intended to
help you through the Hard Drive installation process.

1. Review your Hard Drive and look for the following features.
40-Pin IDE connector
Configuration Jumper Pins
(see diagram on label)
Rectangle indicates the jumper
is placed over these pins
No rectangle indicates that there is no
jumper in this configuration
You will find a diagram on the Hard Drive that looks
similar to the one shown here. This diagram shows
where to place the jumpers for various applications.
You will see the following terms:
- means you have only one Hard
Drive installed.
- means this is the master Hard
Drive, but there is also a slave drive.
- means this is the slave Hard Drive and there
is another Hard Drive installed that is configured as
the master.
