1 APPLIANCE
This shredder is designed for composting/cutting of fibrous and woody garden waste.
Warning! Read this manual and the general safety instructions carefully
before using the machine, for your own safety. Keep this manual for future
reference.

3 PACKAGE CONTENT LIST
Remove all packaging materials.
Remove remaining packing and package inserts (if included).
Check thatthe package contents are complete.
Check the appliance, the power cord, the power plug and all accessories for transportation
damage.
Keep the packing materials as long as possible till the end of the warranty period. Dispose
it into your local waste disposal system afterwards.
WARNING: Packaging materials are not toys! Children must not play with
plastic bags! Danger of suffocation!

5 GENERAL POWER TOOL SAFETY WARNINGS
Read all safety warnings and instructions. Failure to heed warnings and follow instructions
may result in electric shock, fire and/or serious injury. Keep safety warnings and instructions
for future reference. The term "power tool" in the safety warnings refers to your mains-
operated (corded) power tool or battery- operated (cordless) power tool.
5.1 Working area
Keep working area clean and well lit. Untidy and dark areas can lead to accidents.
Donot operate power tools in potentially explosive surroundings, for example, in the
presence of inflammable liquids, gases or dust. Power tools create sparks which may
ignite the dust or fumes.
Keep children and bystanders at a distance when operating a power tool. Distractions can
cause you to lose control of it.
5.2 Electrical safety
Always check thatthe power supply correspondstothe voltage on the rating plate.
Powertool plugs must match the outlet. Never modify the plug in any way. Do not use
adapter plugs with earthed power tools. Unmodified plugs and matching outlets will reduce
the risk of an electric shock.
Avoid body contact with earthed surfaces such as pipes, radiators, kitchen ranges and
refrigerators. There is an increased risk of an electric shock if your body is earthed.
Donot expose power tools to rain or wet conditions. If water gets inside a power tool, it will
increase the risk of an electric shock.
Donot damagethe cord. Never use the cord for carrying, pulling or unplugging the power
tool. Keep the cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts. Damaged or
entangled cords increase the risk of an electric shock.
When operating a power tool outdoors, use an extension cable suitable for outdoor use.
Using a cord suitable for outdoor use reduces the risk of an electric shock.
If operating a power tool in a damp location is unavoidable, use a power supply protected
by a residual current device (RCD). Using an RCD reduces the risk of an electric shock.
5.3 Personal safety
Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating a power
tool. Do not use a power tool when you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or
medication. A moment of inattention when operating a power tool may result in serious
personal injury.
Usesafetyequipment. Always wear eye protection. Using safety equipment such as a
dust mask, non-skid safety shoes, a hard hat, or hearing protection whenever it is needed
will reduce the risk of personal injury.

Avoid accidental starts. Ensure the switch is in the off position before inserting the plug.
Carrying power tools with yourfinger on the switch or plugging in power tools when the
switch is in the on position makes accidents more likely.
Removeany adjusting keys or spanners before turning on the power tool. A spanner or
key left attached to a rotating part of the power tool may result in personal injury.
Donot reach outtoo far. Keep your feetfirmly on the ground at all times. This will enable
you retain control over the power tool in unexpected situations.
Dressproperly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery. Keep your hair, clothing and
gloves away from the power tool. Loose clothes, jewellery or long hair can become
entangled in the moving parts.
If there are devices for connecting dust extraction and collection facilities, please ensure
that they are attached and used correctly. Using such devices can reduce dust-related
hazards.
5.4 Power tool use and care
Donot expect the power tool to do more than it can. Use the correct power tool for what
you want to do. A power tool will achieve better results and be safer if used in the context
for which it was designed.
Donot use the power tool if the switch cannot turn it on and off. A power tool with a broken
switch is dangerous and must be repaired.
Disconnect the plug from the power source before making adjustments, changing
accessories, or storing power tools. Such preventive safety measures reduce the risk of
starting the power tool accidentally.
Storepower tools, when not in use, out of the reach of children and do not allow people
who are not familiar with the power tool or these instructions to operate it. Power tools are
potentially dangerous in the hands of untrained users.
Maintain power tools. Check for misalignment or jammed moving parts, breakages or any
otherfeature that might affect the operation of the power tool. If it is damaged,the power
tool must be repaired. Many accidents are caused by using poorly maintained power tools.
Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properly maintained cutting tools with sharp cutting
edges are less likely to jam and are easier to control.
Usethe power tool, accessories and cutting tools, etc., in accordance with these
instructions and in the manner intended for the particular type of power tool, taking into
accountthe working conditions and the work which needs to be done. Using a power tool
in ways for which it was not intended can lead to potentially hazardous situations.
5.5 Service
Your power toolshould be serviced by a qualified specialist using only standard spare
parts. This will ensure that it meets the required safety standards.
6 ADDITIONAL SAFETY RULES FOR SHREDDERS
Wear protective gloves, protective glasses and hearing protectors. Avoid loose clothing.
Always stand steadily and in balance. Do not stretch towards the machine.
During use, the machine should be level and on a firm surface.
Ensurethat all screws and nuts are properly tightened before use.
Only use the machine in dry conditions and never use outdoors when it is raining.
Neverusethe machine with damaged safety devices or without protection.
Keep hands, other parts of our body and clothing away from the feeding hopper and the
discharge chute.
Keep yourface and the rest of your body away from the feeding hopper.
Donot leave the machine unsupervised, switch off the motor and disconnect the plug.
Hardobjects such as stones, bottle, cansor pieces of metal must not be fed into the inlet
chute. This can cause damage to the machine.

If the machine becomes blocked, stop the motor and disconnect the plug. Pull out any
objects and check for damage.
Ifthe fuse blows or if the overload protection is triggered,this is a sign thatthe machine is
overloaded and/or that too many appliances are connected tothe same extension cable.
Check the cause and remedy. Do not install a more powerful fuse.
Donot tug on the extension cable. Do not hold the cable taut. This can cause damage in
the plugs or in the cables insulation. Such damage is invisible but can be dangerous.
Always keep the extension cable away from the machine. Disconnect the plug from the
electric socket and check the cable regularly for signs of damage or aging. Do not use the
machine with a damaged extension cable.
If the cable is damaged, it must be replaced by an authorized service centre in order to
avoid a hazard.
Nevermovethe machine by pulling the cable. The machine must not be moved with the
motor running.
The shredder must be assembled correctly before use.
Warning! This appliance must be earthed!
Warning! Use only three core extension cables with the earth wire
connected.
Only use extension cables that are approved for outdoor use and check that they are in
good condition before use.
Before inserting the plug in the mains socket, make sure that the socket ratings are correct
and correspond to those indicated on the rating label on the shredder.
Always switch off the shredder before disconnecting any plug and socket connector or
extension cables.
Keep children and pets away. All onlookers should be kept a safe distance away from the
shredder when it is in use.
Donot allow children or any person who has not read this instruction leaflet or who is not
familiar with the shredderto operate it.
The operator is responsible for third parties while working with the shredder.
Only use the shredderfor its intended purposes.
Caution! There are rotating blades on this machine.
Caution! Blades do not stop immediately after switching off.
Always switch off the shredder, disconnect the plug and wait until the cutting disc stops
before carrying out maintenance or cleaning work.
It is forbidden to move or modify any of the electrical and mechanical safety devices.
Useonly in daylight or good artificial light.
Donot put your hands into the feed funnel or ejection slot.
If the shredder should start to vibrate abnormally, switch off the motor and check for the
cause immediately. Vibration is generally a warning of trouble.
Ensure blades are secure before shredding. Do not operate the shredder if any of the
blades are not properly mounted.
The shredder should be checked carefully before use. You should only work with a
shredderthat is in good condition. If you notice any defect on the machine that may cause
dangertothe operator, do not operate the shredder until defects are rectified.

Replace worn or damaged parts for safety. Use only original spare parts. Parts not
produced by manufacturer may cause poor fit and possible injury.
Usethe shredder only in places where it is protected from water and never use it outdoors
in rainy weather.
Store in a dry secure place out of reach of children,
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they
have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person
responsible for their safety.
Children should be supervised to ensure thatthey do not play with the appliance.
6.1 Preparation:
Donot allow children to operate this equipment
Donot operate this equipment in the vicinity of bystanders
Wearear protection and safety glasses at all times while operating
Avoid wearing clothing that is loose fitting or that has hanging cords and ties
Only operate the machine the machine in open space (e.g. Not close to a wall or other
fixed objects) and on a firm, level surface
Donot operate the machine on a paved or gravel surface, where ejected material could
cause injury
Before starting the machine, check that all screws, nuts, bolts, and otherfasteners are
properly secured and that guards and screens are in place. Replace damaged and
unreadable labels
6.2 Operation:
Before starting the machine, look into the feeding chamber to make certain, that it is empty

eep yourface and body away from the feed intake opening
Donot allow hands or any other part of the body or clothing inside the feeding chamber,
discharge chute, or near any moving part
Keep proper balance andfooting at all times. Do not overreach. Never stand at a higher
level than the base of the machine, when feeding material into it
Always stand clear of the discharge zone when operating this machine
When feeding material into the machine be extremely careful that pieces of metal, rocks,
bottles, cans or otherforeign objects are not included
If the cutting mechanism strikes any foreign objects or if the machine should start making
any unusual noise or vibration, shut off the power source and allow the machine to stop,
disconnect the spark plug wire from the spark plug ( electric unit disconnect from supply)
and take the following steps:
1. Inspect for damage
2. Check for and tighten any loose parts
3. Have any damaged parts replaced or repaired with parts having equivalent specifications
Donot allow processed material to build up in the discharge zone;this may prevent proper
discharge andcan result kickback of material through the feed intake opening
If the machine becomes clogged, shut of the power source and disconnect the spark plug
wire from the spark plug (electric unit disconnect from supply) before clearing debris. Keep
the power source clear of debris and other accumulations to prevent damageto the power
source or possible fire. Rememberthat operating the starting mechanism on engine
powered machines will still cause the cutting means to move
Keep all guards and deflectors in place and in good working condition
Donot tamper with the power source governorsettings; the governor controls the safe
maximum operating speed and protects the power source and all moving parts from
damage caused by over speed. Seek authorized service if a problem exists.
Donot transport this machine while the power source is running

Shut off the power source and disconnect the spark plug lead (electric unit disconnect
from supply) whenever you leave the work area
Donot tilt the machine while the power source is running
6.3 Maintenance and storage
When the machine is stopped for servicing, inspection, or storage, or to change an
accessory, shut off the power source, disconnect the spark plug wire from the spark plug
(electric unit disconnect from supply), make sure that all moving parts have come to a
complete stop and, where a key is fitted remove. Allow the machine tocool before making
any inspections, adjustments, etc
Storethe machine where fuel vapor will not reach an open flame or spark. For extended
storage periods, run the unit dry of fuel. Allow the machine to cool before storing.
When servicing the cutting means be aware that, even though the power source will not
start due to the interlock feature of the guard, the cutting means can still be moved by a
manual starting mechanism.
6.4 Additional safety instructions for units with bagging attachments
Shut-off the power unit before attaching or removing the bag.
7 ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
Warning! You may need assistance when lifting the machine out of the box
and assembling.
Open the package and remove the machine from package;
Pull out the collect box and take out the main part of the machine and all accessories;
7.1 Assembly of the shredder
Fig. 1:
Turn the shredder upside down.
Pivot the legs upward, place the supplied wheel axle through the respective openings.
Insertthe screws through the black plastic and screw tight.
Fig. 2:
Place the supplied sleeves on the wheel axles. Then the wheels, the pinion and, finally,
the lock nut with the wheel cover.
Warning! Take care when tilting the unit onto its wheels as the unit has an
uneven weight distribution when tilted and during wheeled transportation.
7.2 Collectbox (Fig. 3)
Push the collect box into the undercarriage after pushing the lock button (6) upward.
8 OPERATION
8.1 On/off switch (Fig. 4)
Pressthe on/off switchto start and/or stop the machine.
Note: the machine is equipped with a safety switch to prevent it from being switched on again
accidentally after a power failure.
8.2 Overload protection (Fig. 4)
Overload (e.g. blocking up of the cutting blades) leads to a standstill of the machine after a few
seconds. To protect the motor from being damaged, the overload switch (10) will cut the mains
automatically. Wait at least 1 minute before restarting by first pressing the reset button and
then the on/off switch.

In the event of blocking of the cutting blade, turn the rotational direction switchto the right
position before switching the shredder on again
If the motor does not restart, do the following:
Removethe plug from the mains socket.
Loosen the hand screw (2) and open the top part upwards.
Clean carefully the cutting and discharge parts and remove any objects that could obstruct
the blades.
Putthe top part back and tighten the hand screw firmly.
Pressthe reset button before pressing the On/Off switch.
Attention! Always wear safety gloves when executing the steps mentioned
above!
8.3 Safety lock
The shredder is equipped with the safety switch at the lock between the top and bottom parts.
If the top part does not fit perfectly and sit fast on the bottom part, the SAFETY SWITCH is
activated and the motor will not work. If this happens:
Removethe plug from the mains socket.
Removethe top part, as described in the previous paragraph.
Clean carefully the cutting and discharge parts and remove any objects that could obstruct
the blades.
Put them together again and tighten the hand screw firmly.
ATTENTION: Never loosen the hand screw before first turning off the On/Off
switch and removing the plug from the mains socket.
8.4 Disassembly
In certain circumstances, e.g. storage after use, you can take the machine apart by
performing the assembly steps in reverse order, as described earlier.
8.5 Instructions for use
Place the material to be shredded in the opening (picture 1, part 1) on the right side. It will
then be automatically drawn into the machine by the cutter as it turns counter clockwise.
Donot stuff the opening completely full to avoid jamming the machine.
Alternate feeding branches and small litter that is a bit wet and decomposed. This will also
help to avoid jamming the cutter.
Squashy kitchen rubbish must be composted, never put it through the shredder!
Branches with leaves must always be entirely through the shredder and out of the way
before feeding new material into the machine. Make sure the shredded material is able to
fall unobstructed into the bag (picture 1, part 3) without blocking the outlet.
The ventilation opening must not be blocked by the shredded material.
Continuous shredding of thick wood or branchescan cause the machine to jam.
Soft material like leaves or sprigs can easily block the inlet: use a stick to poke it in.
Always check litter for nails and stones before shredding as they can seriously damage
the shredder.
Watchfor vibrations, vibration indicates worn or damaged blades.
Replace blades if necessary.

11 CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
To ensure the best performance from the garden shredder, it must be kept clean.
Always clean the garden shredder immediately after use.
Donot allow material to become dry and hard on anyof the garden shredder surfaces.
This will directly affect the shredding performance.
Makesurethat the inlet chute and the discharge chute are kept clean and clear of all
waste material.
Makesurethat all nuts, bolts and screws are tight and secure.
Always have any damaged or worn parts repaired, or replaced by qualified personnel.
Donot use detergents or solvents as these could cause irreparable damageto your
machine. Chemicals can destroy the plastic parts.
Oil the drum every 4th or 5th (use BIO-degradable oil to protect environment).
11.1 Replacement of the cutters (Fig. 5 & Fig. 6)
If the cutters must be replaced, do it always in pairs. Open the shredder, block the cutter disc
with a screwdriver. Using the supplied hex wrench, screw out the socket head screws.
Assemble the newcutters in reverse order.
CAUTION! Do not over tighten the plate adjustment screw and cut
excessive aluminum off of the plate, as this will reduce the life of your
shredder.
Have your garden shredder inspected and maintained by qualified service
personnel. Do not attempt to repair the machine unless you are qualified to
do so.
Before commencing cleaning andmaintenance procedures, make sure the gardenshredderis
switchedoff anddisconnected from the mains supply. Always wearsturdy leathergloves when
cleaning the cutter blades.

WARNING! Never use a high-pressure washer or running water when
cleaning the shredder! Brush away dirt and plant residues which may be
caught in the spiral cutter. Wipe clean the outside of the shredder with a
cloth which has been moistened with a mild detergent and water.
12 STORAGE
To protect the shredderfrom corrosion when storing for a longer period, treatthe cutting blade
with environmentally-friendly oil.
13 TROUBLE SHOOTING

14 WARRANTY
This product is warranted as provided by law for a 24 -month period effective from the
date of purchase by the first user.
This warranty covers all material or production flaws excluding : batteries, chargers,
defective parts subject to normal wear & tearsuch as bearings, brushes, cables, and
plugs, or accessories such as drills, drill bits, saw blades, etc. ; damage or defects
resulting from maltreatment, accidents or alterations; nor the cost of transportation.
Damage and/or defects resulting from inappropriate use also do notfall underthe
warranty provisions.
Anytransportation costs shall always be borne by the customer, unless agreed otherwise
in writing.
Atthe same time, no claim can be made on the warranty if the damage of the device is the
result of negligent maintenance or overload.
Definitely excluded from the warranty is damage resulting from fluid permeation, excessive
dust penetration, intentional damage (on purpose or by gross carelessness), inappropriate
usage (use for purposes for which the device is not suitable), incompetent usage (e.g. not
following the instructions given in the manual), inexpert assembly, lightning strike,
erroneus net voltage. This list is not exhaustive.
Acceptance of claims under warranty can never lead tothe prolongation of the warranty
period nor commencement of a new warranty period in case of a device replacement.

Wereservethe right to reject a claim whenever the purchase cannot be verified or when it
is clear thatthe product has not been properly maintained. (Clean ventilation slots, carbon
brushes serviced regularly, etc.).
Your purchase receipt must be kept as proof of date of purchase.
Your appliance must be returned undismantled to your dealer in an acceptably clean state,
(in its original blow-moulded case if applicable to the unit), accompanied by proof of
purchase.
15 ENVIRONMENT
Should your appliance need replacement after extended use, do not dispose of it
with the household refuse, but in an environmentally safe way.
Waste produced by electrical machine items should not be handled like normal
household rubbish. Please recycle where recycle facilities exist. Check with your
Local Authority or retailer for recycling advice.

1 TOEPASSINGSGEBIED
De hakselaar dient om vezelachtig of houten tuinafval te snijden en zo te gebruiken voor
compost. Het apparaat is niet bestemd voor industrieel gebruik.
Lees voor uw eigen veiligheid deze gebruiksaanwijzing goed door alvorens
de machine te gebruiken. Geef dit elektrisch werktuig alleen samen met
deze gebruiksaanwijzing door aan anderen.

3 INHOUD VAN DE VERPAKKING
Verwijder alle verpakkingsmateriaal.
Verwijder de overblijvende verpakking en de transportsteunen (indien aanwezig).
Controleer of de inhoud van de verpakking compleet is.
Controleer het toestel, het netsnoer, de stekker en alle toebehoren op transportschade.
Berg het verpakkingsmateriaal op tot aan het einde van de garantieperiode. Na deze
periode kunt u het via uw lokale afvalinzameling laten verwijderen.
WAARSCHUWING! Verpakkingsmateriaalis geen speelgoed! Kinderen
mogen niet spelen met plastic zakken! Gevaar voor verstikking!

5 ALGEMENE VEILIGHEIDSVOORSCHRIFTEN
WAARSCHUWING! Neem alle voorschriften en veiligheidswaarschuwingen door. Het niet
naleven van de voorschriften kan elektrische schokken, brand en/of ernstige verwondingen
veroorzaken. Bewaar de veiligheidswaarschuwingen en de instructies als referentie voor later.
ierna gebruikte begrip „elektrisch gereedschap" heeft betrekking op elektrisch
gereedschap, gevoed door het elektriciteitsnet (met elektriciteitskabel) of op batterij
(snoerloos).
5.1 Werkplaats
Hou de werkplaats opgeruimd en goed verlicht. Wanorde en een slecht verlichte
werkplaats kunnentot ongevallen leiden.
Gebruik het apparaat niet in een omgeving waarin zich brandbare vloeistoffen, gassen of
stof bevinden. Elektrisch gereedschap brengt vonken voort die dergelijke stoffen of
dampen kunnen laten ontbranden.
Zorg dat er geenkinderen of andere personen in de buurt zijn als u het elektrisch apparaat
gebruikt. Afleiding kan ervoor zorgen dat u de controle over hettoestel verliest.
5.2 Elektrische veiligheid
Controleer altijd of de netspanning overeenstemt met deze vermeld op het typeplaatje.
De stekker van het apparaat moet in het stopcontact passen. De stekker mag op geen
enkele wijze worden gewijzigd. Gebruik geen adapterstekkers in combinatie met geaarde
apparaten. Ongewijzigde stekkers en passende stopcontacten doen het risico op
elektrische schokken afnemen.
Vermijd lichamelijk contact met geaarde oppervlakken, zoals buizen, radiators, fornuizen
en koelkasten. Er bestaat een groter risico op elektrische schokken wanneer uw lichaam
geaard is.
Hou het apparaat buiten bereik van regen of vocht. Het binnendringen van water in een
elektrisch apparaat verhoogt het risico op elektrische schokken.
Beschadig het snoer niet. Gebruik de kabel niet om het apparaat te dragen of op te
hangen, of de stekker uit het stopcontact tetrekken. Hou de kabel buiten bereik van hitte,
olie, scherpe randen of bewegende onderdelen van het apparaat. Beschadigde of in de
war geraakte kabels verhogen het risico op elektrische schokken.
Wanneer u het gereedschap buitenshuis gebruikt, gebruik dan een verlengkabel die
geschikt is voor gebruik buiten. Het gebruik van een verlengkabel die geschikt is voor
gebruik buitenshuis vermindert het gevaar voor een elektrische schok.
Wanneer het gebruik van het gereedschap in een vochtige omgeving niet te vermijden is,
gebruik dan een aansluitpunt dat beveiligd is met een verliesstroomschakelaar. Het
gebruik van een verliesstroomschakelaar vermindert het gevaar voor een elektrische
schok.

5.3 Veiligheid van personen
Wees aandachtig. Let op wat u doet en ga verstandig aan het werk met elektrisch
gereedschap. Gebruik het apparaat niet als u moe bent of onder invloed bent van drugs,
alcohol of medicijnen. Eén moment van onoplettendheid bij het gebruik van het apparaat
kan tot ernstige verwondingen leiden.
Draag uw persoonlijke veiligheidsuitrusting en steeds een veiligheidsbril. Door een
persoonlijke veiligheidsuitrusting (stofmasker, niet glijdende veiligheidsschoenen, een
veiligheidshelm of een gehoorbescherming - afhankelijk van de aard en het gebruik van
het elektrisch gereedschap) te dragen, doet u het risico op verwondingen afnemen.
Voorkom een ongewilde inbedrijfstelling. Ga na of de schakelaar op "UIT(0)" staat voor u
de stekker in het stopcontact steekt. Als u bij het dragen van het apparaat de vinger aan
de schakelaar houdt of de stekker in het stopcontact steekt terwijl het ingeschakeld is, kan
dat tot ongevallen leiden.
Verwijder instelgereedschap of schroefsleutels voor u het apparaat inschakelt.
Gereedschap dat of een sleutel die zich in een draaiend onderdeel van het apparaat
bevindt, kan tot verwondingen leiden.
Overschat uzelf niet. Neem een veilige houding aan en zorg dat u uw evenwicht niet
verliest. Zo kunt u het apparaat in een onverwachte situatie beter onder controle houden.
Draag gepaste kleding. Draag geen wijde kleren en geen sieraden. Hou uw haar, kleren
en handschoenen buiten het bereik van bewegende delen. Losse kleren, sieraden en
lange haren kunnen door bewegende delen worden gegrepen.
Als er stofafzuig- en stofopvanginrichtingen kunnen worden gemonteerd, moet u ervoor
zorgen dat die aangesloten zijn en juist worden gebruikt. Het gebruik van dergelijke
inrichtingen doet de gevaren doorstof afnemen.
5.4 Zorgvuldige omgang met en gebruik van elektrisch gereedschap
Overbelast het apparaat niet. Gebruik voor uw werk het elektrische gereedschap dat
daarvoor bestemd is. Elektrisch gereedschap zal beter presteren en veiliger werken
wanneer het wordt gebruikt in situaties waarvoor het dient.
Gebruik geen elektrisch apparaat waarvan de schakelaar defect is. Een elektrisch
apparaat dat niet meer kan worden in- of uitgeschakeld, is gevaarlijk en moet worden
hersteld.
Trek de stekker uit het stopcontact voor u het apparaat instelt, accessoires vervangt of het
apparaat opbergt. Deze voorzorgsmaatregel voorkomt dat het apparaat ongewild wordt
gestart.
Bewaar ongebruikt elektrisch gereedschap buiten het bereik van kinderen. Laat personen
die niet vertrouwd zijn met het apparaat of die deze gebruiksaanwijzing niet hebben
gelezen, het apparaat niet gebruiken. Elektrisch gereedschap is gevaarlijk als het door
onervaren personen wordt gebruikt.
Ga zorgvuldig om met het apparaat. Controleer op verkeerd uitgelijnde of vastgelopen
bewegende onderdelen, breuk of andere defecten die de werking van het gereedschap
zouden kunnen beïnvloeden. Elektrisch gereedschap dat defect is moet hersteld worden.
Veel ongevallen worden veroorzaakt door slecht onderhouden elektrisch gereedschap.
Hou snijgereedschap scherp en zuiver. Zorgvuldig onderhouden snijgereedschap met
scherpe kanten raakt minder snel geklemd en is gemakkelijker te hanteren.

ebruik elektrisch gereedschap, accessoires, speciaal gereedschap en dergelijke meer in
overeenstemming met deze gebruiksaanwijzing en zoals het voor het type van apparaat is
voorgeschreven. Hou bovendien rekening met de werkomstandigheden en de uit te
voeren werkzaamheden. Het gebruik van elektrisch gereedschap voor andere doeleinden
dan de voorgeschreven, kan tot gevaarlijke situaties leiden.

5.5 Service
Laat uw apparaat uitsluitend door gekwalificeerde vaklui en met originele
reserveonderdelen herstellen. Zo bent u er zeker van dat het apparaat aan de
veiligheidseisen blijft voldoen.
6 AANVULLENDE VEILIGHEIDSVOORSCHRIFTEN VOOR
HAKSELAARS
Draag werkhandschoenen, een veiligheidsbril en gehoorbescherming. Vermijd losse
kleding.
Sta altijd stabiel en in balans. Strek u niet uit naar de machine toe.
Tijdens het gebruik moet de machine op een vlakke en stevige ondergrond staan.
Zorg er vóór het gebruik voor dat alle schroeven en moeren goed zijn aangedraaid.
Gebruik de machine enkel in droge omstandigheden en gebruik ze nooit buiten wanneer
het regent.
Gebruik de machine nooit zonder beschermkappen of met beschadigde
veiligheidsvoorzieningen.
Hou handen, andere lichaamsdelen en kleding uit de buurt van de vultrechter en de
afvoerschacht.
Hou uw aangezicht en de rest van uw lichaam uit de buurt van de vultrechter.
Laat de machine niet onbeheerd achter; zet de motor uit en trek de stekker los.
Harde voorwerpen zoals stenen,flessen, blikjes of stukjes metaal mogen niet in de
inlaatpijp komen. Dit kan de machine beschadigen.
Als de machine blokkeert, zet dan de motor uit en trek de stekker los. Haal alle
voorwerpen uit de machine en controleer op beschadigingen.
Wanneer de zekering doorbrandt of wanneer de overbelastingsbeveiliging wordt
geactiveerd dan is dit eenteken dat de machine werd overbelast en/of dat er te veel
toestellen op hetzelfde verlengsnoer zijn aangesloten. Zoek de oorzaak en los ze op.
Plaats geen zwaardere zekering.
T
rek niet aan het verlengsnoer. Laat de kabel niet spannen. Dit kan schade veroorzaken
in de stekkers of in de kabelisolatie. Deze schade is onzichtbaar maar kan gevaarlijk zijn.
Hou het verlengsnoer altijd uit de buurt van de machine. Haal de stekker uit het
stopcontact en controleer de kabel regelmatig op sporen van beschadiging of veroudering.
Gebruik de machine niet met een beschadigd verlengsnoer.
Als de kabel beschadigd is dan moet hij door een erkend servicecenter worden vervangen
om ongevallen te vermijden.
Verplaats de machine niet door aan de kabeltetrekken. De machine mag niet verplaatst
worden als de motor draait.
Dehakselaar moet voor gebruik op de juiste manier gemonteerd worden.
Opgelet: deze machine moet geaard worden.
Opgelet: alleen 3-draads verlengkabels gebruiken met aarding
Gebruik alleen verlengsnoeren goedgekeurd voor gebruik buitenshuis en controleer of ze
in goede staat zijn.
Vooraleer de stekker in het stopcontact te steken, moet men controleren of de elektrische
gegevens overeenstemmen met die van de hakselaar (zie identificatieplaatje).
Schakel de hakselaar steeds uit om stekker of verbindingsdoos te ontkoppelen.
Hou kinderen en dieren op afstand wanneer de hakselaar in gebruik is.
Laat ook niemand werken met de hakselaar die er niet vertrouwd mee is en die de
handleiding niet gelezen heeft.
Degebruiker is verantwoordelijk tegenover derden tijdens het werk.
Gebruik de hakselaar alleen waarvoor hij gemaakt werd.
Opgelet: de machine heeft roterende messen!

Opgelet: roterende messen staan niet onmiddellijk stil wanneer de machine uitgeschakeld
wordt
Wachtsteedstot de machine volledig stilstaat, uitgeschakeld is, en de stekker uit het
stopcontact gehaald werd, vooraleer met onderhoud of reiniging te beginnen.
Het is verboden ook maar iets te wijzigen of zogezegd te verbeteren aan de elektrische of
mechanische veiligheid.
Werk alleen bij klaarlichte dag of met goede verlichting.
Draag indien nodig oorbeschermers.
Opgelet: de vultrechter moet volledig gemonteerd en vastgeschroefd worden vóór gebruik.
Steekuwhanden of vingers niet in de voedingskoker of de uitgang.
Indien de hakselaar opeens begint te trillen, zet hem dan onmiddellijk af en onderzoek
hem, want dit is meestal eenteken van problemen. Zoek eerst de oorzaak van deze
vibratie.
Zorg ervoor dat de messen goed gemonteerd zijn, anders mag men niet beginnen te
werken.
Controleer of de hakselaar goed gemonteerd werd en goed werkt. Werk alleen met een
machine die geen defecten vertoont en die zeker geen gevaar voor de gebruiker is.
Vervang versleten of beschadigde onderdelen en gebruik hiervoor alleen originele
onderdelen - niet-originele onderdelen zouden de machine kunnen beschadigen.
Bescherm de hakselaar tegen water en gebruik hem nooit buiten in de regen.
Dit toestel is niet bedoeld voor gebruik door personen (inclusief kinderen) met
verminderde fysieke, zintuiglijke of mentale vermogens noch door personen zonder kennis
of ervaring tenzij zij door een persoon die voor hun veiligheid verantwoordelijk is, begeleid
of opgeleid werden m.b.t. het gebruik van het apparaat.
Kinderen moeten goed in de gaten worden gehouden om ervoorte zorgen dat zij niet met
het apparaat spelen.
6.1 Voorbereiding
Laat niet toe dat kinderen dit gereedschap bedienen.
Gebruik dit gereedschap niet in de nabijheid van omstaanders.
Draag gehoorbescherming en een veiligheidsbril tijdens het werken.
Vermijd het dragen van loshangende kleding of kleding met loshangende koordjes en
lintjes.
Gebruik de machine enkel in een open ruimte (bv. niet dicht bij een muur of andere vaste
voorwerpen) en op een stevige en vlakke ondergrond.
Gebruik de machine niet op een verharde ondergrond of op kiezelstenen. Hierdoor zou
uitgeworpen materiaal verwondingen kunnen veroorzaken.
Controleer vóór het starten van de machine of alle schroeven, moeren, bouten en andere
montageonderdelen goed vastzitten en of de kappen en afschermingen op hun plaats
zitten. Vervang beschadigde en onleesbare labels.
6.2 Gebruik
Kijk vóór het starten van de machine in de aanvoerkamer om er zeker van te zijn dat ze
leeg is.
Hou uw aangezicht en lichaam weg van de aanvoeropening.
Hou uw handen, andere delen van uw lichaam of kleding uit de aanvoerkamer en de
afvoerschacht en hou ze uit de buurt van alle bewegende onderdelen.
Bewaar altijd een goed evenwicht en een stabiele voetpositie. Overschat uzelf niet. Ga
niet op een hoger niveau staan t.o.v. de voet van de machine wanneer u materiaal invoert.
Blijf altijd uit de buurt van de uitlaatzone tijdens het werken met de machine.
Wees bij het invoeren van materiaal in de machine bijzonder voorzichtig zodat het geen
stukjes metaal, stenen,flessen, blikjes of andere vreemde voorwerpen bevat.
