■Installation
Install this unit by using the holder or the stand depended on an installation environment.
■Setting on a table
By using the attached table stand, this unit can be put on a reception desk or a table.
Fix the table stand with the attached urea capped screws to the urea capped screw holes of this unit. By
loosing the urea capped screw, the angle can be adjusted.
■Mounting to a wall
This unit can be mounted on a wall or a pole using the attached wall mounting holder.
Fix the wall mounting holder to a wall surface with two pieces of the attached wood screws firmly. (Screw
pitch: 50mm)
Fix this unit to the wall mounting holder with the urea capped screws. By loosing the urea capped screw, the
angle can be adjusted.
By deciding the mounting height according to the shortest person of the assumed measured persons and by
mounting this unit upward a little, the measurement is corresponds to a tall person, too.

■Installing on a tripod
Easy installation is available by installing it on a tripod using the attached wall mounting holder.
Attach the wall mounting holder to this unit with the urea capped screws.
Fix the camera mounting screw of tripod to the screw hole for tripod of the wall mounting holder. When the
pin (to stop turning) is provided on the tripod, mount the wall mounting holder by aligning the pin hole to the
pin.
Set this unit upward in addition to the setting height adjustment of tripod, so that it corresponds to the height
difference of the to be persons measured easily.
When there is a substance with high temperature in the measurement area (image displaying area) and
its temperature is higher than the body surface temperature monitored, the highest temperature does not
indicate the body surface temperature. Adjust the setting place or direction so that lighting, heating
appliance, sunlight or its reflection does not enter into the measurement area.
⇒Refer to Confirmation of thermal image. (P.11)
■Power
The supplied power cable is connected to the DC IN at the bottom of the body.
This unit is powered on by the power switch on the left side. The stand-by lamp (Orange) turns on to
indicate that this unit is powered ON.
Turn off the power switch before the connection of the power cable.

■Operational procedure
Install this unit in an environmental stabilized place.
This unit is easily influenced by the ambient temperature of the place installed and is not a dustproof and
splash-proof structure.
Install it in an indoor area where the temperature is stabilized and is free from the influence of direct
sunlight, wind/rain, etc
Turn the power switch on and warm up this unit for about 60 minutes before starting
measurement.
When the warm-up of this unit is not sufficient, the correct measured value may not be indicated. Usually, the
insufficient warm-up causes a higher indication of the measured value. We recommend you to always turn on this unit.
Measure when the measured person the body surface temperature is stable.
Since the body surface temperature is influenced by ambient temperature, flow of air, etc. before measurement,
perform the measurement after the measured person gets used under a constant environment like an indoor area
before measurement. Especially in the season like winter, when the outside temperature is low, the body surface
temperature may be influenced greatly.
The “Auto correct”is effective to reduce the influence from a surrounding. The “Auto correct”is a function to calculate
the measurement correction value of the body surface temperature, and to reduce an environmental temperature
influence.
The correction value is automatically set to the warning value used for the NG judgment.
When the factory is shipped, the auto correct is invalid.
→Refer to Changing alarm temperature [Auto correct]. (P.15)
For correcting a certain constant influence, it is effective to perform the offset adjustment.
→Refer to Correcting the measured value [Offset adjustment]. (P.16)
1. Confirm that the unit is stand-by (The orange lamp is lighting.).
2. Lean your head to the sensor about 15cm and stop for 3 seconds.
When your head reaches to the specified distance, the measurement will start. The body surface temperature is
measured while the orange lamp blinks and the buzzer sounds “Beep”5 times (for about 3 seconds). During the
measurement, keep the face at rest not to exceed the measurement distance to the temperature checker and not to
depart from the field of view until a judgment result completed.
The judgment is completed when the buzzer sounds “Be-Beep”.
If a large position change (position in the screen or distance) occurs during the measurement, the measured value
will become unstable and the correct measurement cannot be performed.
The temperature inside of the mouth (inner wall in the mouth) after breathing through the nose can be measured is
comparatively stable, without influence to measure by the open air.

Measurement error [ Beeeeep]
It is considered that the measurement error is based on (1) too short distance (less than 10cm), (2) too long
distance (more than 25cm), or (3) movement (position changed) before the judgment completion, etc.
When the measured person leaves from the unit after confirming the judgment result, the unit is reset and
returns to the stand-by.
Since the fever is suspected by blinking of the red lamp, perform the confirmation of the body
temperature by reexamination with a clinical thermometer, etc. This unit is an instrument to measure
the surface temperature of measurement objects for measurement, and is not a clinical thermometer.
■Connection of the checker and PC and its setting
To change the setting of the unit or confirm the thermal image, connect to the PC and operate by exclusive
application software.
■LAN connection
Connect this unit and a personal computer with the attached LAN cable.
For the LAN settings, be sure to connect the body surface temperature checker and a personal
computer by 1 to 1. When other instruments (including other body surface temperature checkers) are
connected via a hub etc., be sure to remove them.
