MODEL S-503, S-515 TALKBACK SPEAKERS
Model S-503
The Flush Mounted Ceiling Talkback Speaker shall consist of an 8-inch (20.32 cm) 45-ohm speaker and a round baffle.
The speaker shall be 8 (20.32 cm) in diameter and have a ceramic magnet weighing 5 ounces. The impedance of
the speaker shall be 45 ohms. The voice coil shall be .75 (1.84 cm) in diameter. The speaker shall be capable of handling
5 watts of continuous power. Sound pressure level at 1 meter on axis with a 1 watt input shall be 94 dB. The frequency
response shall be 65 Hz to 17 kHz.
The baffle shall be constructed with a single piece of 22 gauge steel with a baked on white powered-epoxy finish.
The under side shall be finished with a continuous coating of zincrometal for corrosion resistance.
Maximum dimensions of the housing shall be: Baffle Diameter 13(33 cm). Weight shall be approximately
2.0 lbs. (.9 kg).
The Talkback ceiling speaker shall be Model S-503 manufactured by Clarity.
Model S-515
The Talkback Wall Speaker shall consist of a 5 (12.7 cm) 45-ohm speaker and a thick walled, high-density
polypropylene enclosure that minimizes vibrations. The talkback wall speaker shall have a removable color coordinated grille.
The speaker shall be 5 (12.7 cm) in diameter and have a ceramic magnet weighing 5 ounces. The impedance of the
speaker shall be 45 ohms. The voice coil shall be .75 (1.84 cm) in diameter. The speaker shall be capable of handling
5 watts of continuous power. Sound pressure level at 1 meter on axis with a 1 watt input shall be 93 dB. The frequency
response shall be 90 Hz to 16 kHz. The wall speaker shall have a built-in hanger allowing it to be conveniently mounted
on the wall.
Maximum dimensions of the housing shall be: 10.0 (25.4 cm) W x 6.75 (17.15 cm) H x 4.5 (11.43 cm) D.
Weight shall be approximately 3.8 lbs. (1.7 kg).
The Talkback wall speaker shall be Model S-515 manufactured by Clarity.
Limited Warranty
Clarity warrants its products to be free from defects in materials and workmanship under conditions of normal use and
service for a period of one year from the date of shipment. The obligation under this warranty shall be limited to the replacement,
repair or refund of any such defective device within the warranty period, provided that:
1. inspection by Clarity indicates the validity of the claim,
2. the defect is not the result of damage, misuse, or negligence after the original shipment,
3. the product has not been in any way repaired by others and that factory sealed units are unopened.
(A service charge plus parts and labor will be applied to units defaced or physically damaged).
4. freight charges for the return of products to Clarity are prepaid,
5. all units out of warranty are subject to a service charge. The service charge will cover minor repairs
(major repairs will be subject to additional charges for parts and labor).
This warranty is in lieu of and excludes all other warranties expressed or implied, and in no event shall
Clarity be liable for any anticipated profits, consequential damages, loss of time or other losses incurred by the buyer in
connection with the purchase, operation or use of the product.
This warranty specifically excludes damage incurred in shipment. In the event a product is received in damaged condition,
the carrier should be notified immediately. Claims for such damage should be filed with the carrier involved in accordance with
the F.O.B. point.
