This machine must be wired up in accordance with the following colour code:
BLUE - NEUTRAL
BRO N - LIVE
GREEN/YELLO - EARTH
 Co ect the BLUE coloured cord to the plug termi al marked N
 Co ect the BROWN coloured cord to the plug termi al marked L
 Co ect the GREEN/YELLOW coloured cord to the plug termi al marked E
If this applia ce is fitted with a plug which is moulded o
to the electric cable (i.e. o -rewireable) please ote:
1. The plug must be throw away if it is cut from the
electric cable. There is a da ger of electric shock if it
is subseque tly i serted i to a socket outlet.
2. Never use the plug without the fuse cover fitted.
Fuse Rating
The fuse i the plug must be replaced with o e of the same rati g (5 amps) a d this
replaceme t must be approved to BS1362.
If i doubt, co sult a qualified electricia . Do ot attempt a y electrical repairs yourself.
Cable Extension
Always use a approved cable exte sio suitable for the power rati g of this tool (see
specificatio s), the co ductor size should also be at least the same size as that o the
machi e, or larger. Whe usi g a cable reel, always u wi d the cable completely.
3. Should you wish to replace a detachable fuse carrier, e sure that the correct
replaceme t is used (as i dicated by marki g or colour code).
4. Replaceme t fuse covers ca be obtai ed from your local dealer or most electrical
stockists.

If a cable extension is needed, it is essential to comply with the following data.

Safety Precautions
WARNING:
As with all machinery, there are certain hazards involved with their operation
and use. Exercising respect and caution will considerably lessen the risk of
personal injury. However, if normal safety precautions are overlooked or
ignored, personal injury to the operator or damage to property, may result.
Care must be taken when handling water near electricity as there is risk of
electric shock
Never use the unit near heaters or other sources of
heat.
Never pour or spray water on the unit.
Never use solvent cleaners or other flammable
liqui s to clean the unit.
Never use the mains switch or pull out the plug to
stop or start the machine. Use the switch on
the control panel to avoi amaging the unit.
ARNING! Read these safety instructions before using the equipment.
Always keep the unit in an upright position.
Always leave the unit to stan for an hour before
switching on if it has been tilte or move from
an upright position i.e after transportation or
cleaning.
Always allow a gap of 50mm aroun the unit to allow
air to circulate.
Always ensure that the air inlet an outlet areas are
clear.
Always remove the mains plug before carrying out any
maintenance.
Always switch off, unplug an empty water tank before
moving.
MAINTENANCE
Before carryi g out a y mai te a ce duties it is importa t to isolate the machi e from
the electric supply, switch the m/c OFF a d remove the 13amp plug from the socket.
To clea the machi e, use a soft damp cloth, for stubbor marks, a mild household
deterge t may be used. Never use harmful abrasives or chemicals as these could
cause serious damage to the u it.
Air Filter
Depe di g how much the machi e is used a d the
e viro me t it is used i , it will be ecessary to remove
a d clea the air filter . To do this proceed as follows.
 Ope the air filter cover, see fig. 10, by pulli g firmly
o the ha dle.
 Remove the filter from the cover by ge tly easi g it
off the hooks o the cover
Ge tly clea the filter usi g a vacuum clea er a d a
clea soft brush, if required the filter ca be carefully
washed, by immersi g it ge tly i to warm (40°) water
with a mild household deterge t. Ri se a d allow the filter to dry thoroughly before
refitti g.
Storage
Before stori g the air co ditio er for lo g periods i.e. at the e d of the seaso , it is
ecessary to drai all water from the machi e, to do this proceed as follows.
 E sure the machi e is isolated from the electrical supply by switchi g off a d
removi g the plug from the socket.
 Remove the water ta k, empty co te ts a d leave to drai a d dry.
 Locate the drai tube i the left ha d side of the ta k box, see fig. 8. Withdraw the
tube a d remove the stopper, drai water i to a suitable co tai er. DO NOT refit
the stopper.
 Plug the machi e i to the mai electric supply a d switch ON i fa mode,
co ti ue to ru the machi e i this mode u til the tube is completely dry.
 Switch the machi e OFF a d remove the plug from the socket, replace the stopper
i to the drai tube, carefully retur the tube back i to the ta k box, rei stall the
water ta k.
 Wi d up the power cable, wrap the machi e i a suitable plastic/polythe e bag.

3. Withdraw the drai tube from i side the ta k box

4. Rei stall the water ta k a d carefully route the
drai tube through the hole whilst doi g so, see
Fig. 9.
5. Carefully push the ta k fully i , e suri g the tube is
ot ki ked or i terferi g with the water full
mecha ism o the ta k.

Temperature Setting
This button is used to set the room
temperature, increase or
decrease the temperature
setting, press either the
buttons.
Each time a button is pressed,
the setting is increased or
decreased by 1°C.
Fan Spee
Pressing this button can choose
high, middle or low -speed of air
delivery.
Timer
This button is used to set the
N/ FF time. Used in
conjunction with the H UR
button, the time setting can be
made within the range of 1 - 12
hours, with an interval of one hour .
Time Setting
This button is used to set the
current time or the time for timed
N/ FF.
ON/OFF
Pressing this button will turn the
machine N and FF
Mo e Selection
Press this button to select the
required modes of cooling,
dehumidification or fan only.
Swing
Press this button to select the left/
right swinging of air delivery or
to stop swinging.
Hol
Press this button to lock or unlock
the keyboard.
Installing Batteries
Ope the battery compartme t a d i sert the batteries (two times AAA), as per diagram
below.
T o ope the battery compartme t, apply slight dow ward pressure o the cover at the
poi t marked a d slide the cover ope i directio of arrow.
Whe the batteries are i serted the display will show the time o ly, at 0:00 AM. To set the
correct time, proceed as follows.
Ope the battery compartme t as above. Usi g
the tip of a ball poi t pe or similar, push the CLK
(clock) butto , the time i dicator ow flashes.
Press the HOUR butto to set the correct hour .
NOTE: hold the button in, the hour will continue to
scroll quickly, release the button to stop scrolling.
Press the MIN butto to set the correct mi utes.
NOTE: hold the button in, the minute will continue
to scroll quickly, release the button to stop scrolling.
Press the CLK butto agai . The time is ow set,
refit the battery compartme t cover.
EMOTE CONT OL
Attention
Pressi g a d butto s together for more tha two seco ds will lock the key
pad. The LCD will show , to u lock, press both butto s agai .
Water Drainage
Whe cooli g or dehumidifyi g, water will collect i the ta k. Whe the ta k becomes
full, the WATER FULL i dicator will flash, a d the machi e will cut out.
T o empty the water, remove the ta k, (fig. 7a),
pour water out (fig. 7b), rei stall ta k e suri g it
is fully pushed i (fig. 7c).

NOTE: DO NOT remove the ta k whilst the machi e
is ru i g, this will cause the audible war i g buzzer to
sou d a d the machi e will stop.
It is permissible to remove the ta k before it becomes full.
Switch the machi e off a d wait three mi utes before doi g so, this preve ts water
from spilli g i to the machi e.
It is possible to plumb the u it i so that the eed to empty the water ta k is ot
required, to do this proceed as follows:
1. E sure the machi e is switched off a d isolated from the mai electric supply.
2. Remove water ta k, empty if a y water is prese t.

CONT OL PANELOPE ATION
Cooling an Dehumi ifying Operation
The operati g ra ge for cooli g operatio is, 16°C-31°C a d the operati g ra ge for
dehumidifyi g is 20°C-31°C.
Connecting To The Electrical Supply
It is recomme ded to co ect the mobile air co ditio er to a electric supply ot
used for other applia ces.
I sert the plug i to the 13amp socket, a audible war i g (two beeps) should be
heard, after heari g the war i g, wait for two seco ds, the press the (ON/OFF)
butto , the u it should ow ru .
Cooling Operation
1. E sure that the drai ta k is properly i stalled i the u it.
2. Press the (Mode) butto to choose the cooli g mode, LCD will display
cool.
Duri g the cooli g operatio , the exhaust duct should be directed to the outside
through a ope wi dow etc.
3. Repeatedly press the (Temp) butto to set the room temperature.
4. Press the (Fa ) butto to select the fa speed, (High, Middle or Low).
5. Press the (Swi g) butto to adjust the air delivery directio , this ca be
static i o e directio or ca be oscillati g.
Press the swi g butto o ce, will be displayed i the LCD, a d the air flow will
be oscillati g from side to side. To set the air flow i o e directio o ly, wait u til the
air is blowi g i the required directio , a d press the swi g butto agai .
NOTE: to maintain efficient cooling, draw the window blinds/curtains, if the room is
directly e posed to strong sun.
Also DO NOT site the air conditioner in direct sunlight, or other heat source.
Dehumi ifying Operation
1. E sure doors a d wi dows are closed to aid the effective ess of the u it.
2. E sure the drai ta k is correctly i stalled.
3. Repeatedly press the (Mode) butto u til the LCD reads DRY, i this mode
the fa speed ca ot be adjusted.
NOTE: when used as a dehumidifier only, it is not necessary to use the e haust duct.
Time Set Function
Automatic Start Time
E sure the machi e is switched off a d is plugged i to the mai electrical supply,
1. Press the (Timer) butto , the LCD will show , press the (time)
butto a d select the start time as required. The setti g ra ge is 1 - 12 hours.
Auto Swing Function
1. Press the (Swi g) butto , LCD will show , the vertical louvres will start to
swi g automatically.
2. Press the (Swi g) butto agai , the symbol , will disappear a d the
vertical louvres will stop swi gi g.

INSTALLATION
Siting the Machine
Whe siti g the machi e, observe the mi imum space requireme ts as i fig. 1. The air
co ditio er must have a mi imum space of 500mm (20) o all four sides, this also i cludes
the top of the machi e.

Exhaust Ducting
NOTE: umbers i brackets refer to item umbers i parts list.
The hot air must be ducted to the outside through a ope wi dow, usi g the ducti g kit
supplied as follows.
1. Make up the ducti g assembly before attachi g to the machi e, fig. 2 (three items,
30, 31 an 32a ). The adapters are fitted to the ducti g by screwi g o i a
a ticlockwise directio , it may be ecessary to apply a thi film of liquid soap or
similar to make this operatio easier.
2. Attach the square e d of the assembly to the back of
the u it by slidi g o to the receptacle i the directio of
arrow, fig. 3.
NOTE: ducti g left off for illustratio purpose o ly.
3. Make up the wi dow Plate assy, fig. 4 (two items, 32b
an 33 ). Fit the completed assy i to a ope wi dow,
secure i place by closi g wi dow a d wedgi g plate
assembly i positio , ENSURE the assy ca ot fall out
leadi g toi jury etc to people or a imals below.
4. Ma oeuvre the air co ditio er i to positio , exte d the
ducti g by pulli g o the free e d a d co ect to the
wi dow adapter.

When connecting the ucting, always try to keep ben s as smooth as possible
without kinks etc.
