Safety Precautions
WARNING:
As with all machinery, there are certain hazards involved with their operation
and use. Exercising respect and caution will considerably lessen the risk of
personal injury. However, if normal safety precautions are overlooked or
ignored, personal injury to the operator or damage to property, may result.
Care must be taken when handling water near electricity as there is risk of
electric shock
Never
use the unit near heaters or other sources of
heat.
Never
pour or spray water on the unit.
Never
use solvent cleaners or other flammable
liqui s to clean the unit.
Never
use the mains switch or pull out the plug to
stop or start the machine. Use the switch on
the control panel to avoi amaging the unit.
ARNING!
Read these safety instructions before using the equipment.
Always
keep the unit in an upright position.
Always
leave the unit to stan for an hour before
switching on if it has been tilte or move from
an upright position i.e after transportation or
cleaning.
Always
allow a gap of 50mm aroun the unit to allow
air to circulate.
Always
ensure that the air inlet an outlet areas are
clear.
Always
remove the mains plug before carrying out any
maintenance.
Always
switch off, unplug an empty water tank before
moving.
MAINTENANCE
Before carryi g out a y mai te a ce duties it is importa t to isolate the machi e from
the electric supply, switch the m/c OFF a d remove the 13amp plug from the socket.
To clea the machi e, use a soft damp cloth, for stubbor marks, a mild household
deterge t may be used. Never use harmful abrasives or chemicals as these could
cause serious damage to the u it.
Air Filter

a d clea the air filter . To do this proceed as follows.
Ope the air filter cover, see fig. 10, by pulli g firmly
o the ha dle.
Remove the filter from the cover by ge tly easi g it
off the hooks o the cover
Ge tly clea the filter usi g a vacuum clea er a d a
clea soft brush, if required the filter ca be carefully
washed, by immersi g it ge tly i to warm (40°) water
with a mild household deterge t. Ri se a d allow the filter to dry thoroughly before
refitti g.
Storage
Before stori g the air co ditio er for lo g periods i.e. at the e d of the seaso , it is
ecessary to drai all water from the machi e, to do this proceed as follows.
E sure the machi e is isolated from the electrical supply by switchi g off a d
removi g the plug from the socket.
Remove the water ta k, empty co te ts a d leave to drai a d dry.
Locate the drai tube i the left ha d side of the ta k box, see fig. 8. Withdraw the
tube a d remove the stopper, drai water i to a suitable co tai er. DO NOT refit
the stopper.
Plug the machi e i to the mai electric supply a d switch ON i fa mode,
co ti ue to ru the machi e i this mode u til the tube is completely dry.
Switch the machi e OFF a d remove the plug from the socket, replace the stopper
i to the drai tube, carefully retur the tube back i to the ta k box, rei stall the
water ta k.
Wi d up the power cable, wrap the machi e i a suitable plastic/polythe e bag.
