Your remote controls
The 4-button remote controls of your Concept 300 are ultra-sophisticated miniature
radio transmitters each powered by a tiny3-volt lithiumbattery. A weak remote control
battery will reduce range (the system will warn you if the battery in your remote is
nearing the end of its useful life, see Automatic remote control low battery warningon page
8 for details). Electrical/radio frequency interference, buildings and other obstructions,
weather conditions and even sunspots can interrupt the signal from your remote to the
system. If this happens, repeatedly press the remote control button several times until
the system responds (this works better than holding the button down). The remote
controls are the keys to your system. But these remotes are much more secure than car
keys because each incorporates Clifford’s ACG 2™ (Anti-CodeGrabbing 2™) technology
with trillions of digital codes for the ultimate protection. You will use your Concept 300
remote control to arm and disarm the system, lock and unlock the doors,
activate/deactivate the panic feature, enable/exit valet mode and command options such
as a remote boot release, timed headlight activation, automatic closure of the power
windows, electric garage door interface and even remote starting of the engine and
heater or air conditioner, among other options.
TIP:Ifyoupress the top of the remotetoyourchin, you can increase the range
since your body acts as a large radio antenna (this is the same principle as a
station coming in more clearly when you touch the TV or radio antenna).

of User-Selectable Featureson page 19, or it can be programmed
into a Clifford ACG 2 electric garage door/entry gateopener
