Maintenance
Your Clifford VirtualKey 2 AutoImmobiliser system requires no maintenance.
This product, like any electrical device in your vehicle, requires your car battery be
in proper working order and fully charged. To ensure proper operation, periodically
have your vehicle battery “load-checked” at any local garage/mechanic. Also make
sure the battery cables and connections are tight and free from corrosion.
Operation of your VirtualKey 2 AutoImmobiliser
NOTE: In the event of one of your transponders being lost or stolen, please
follow the procedure below to delete the code(s) of lost or stolen
VirtualKey(s).Intheeventofbothtransponderkeysbeinglostorstolen,you
willberequiredtoreturnto the CliffordDealerwhoinstalledyoursys tem so
that the unit may be returned to Clifford to have the lost or stolen keys
removed from memory and new VirtualKeys added.
Proper Attachment of the VirtualKey to the Ignition Key
The VirtualKey MUST BE ATTACHED DIRECTLYto the vehicle’s ignition key
and NOTto a keychain. The reason is that the VirtualKey code must be
electronically read through the airwaves by the AutoImmobiliser’s antenna, which is
located near your vehicle’s ignition switch. Since the range is, by design, only a few
inches, the closer the VirtualKey is to the antenna, the better is the likelihood of
trouble-free operation.
To drive your vehicle
When the system is active, the dashboard or console-mounted LED will be flashing.
When you turn on the ignition, the Virtual Key comes into close proximity to the
VirtualKey detector mounted near the ignition switch. The system instantly reads
and verifies the secret code of the VirtualKey and, if it matches, releases its
electronic immobilisation of your vehicle’s starter motor and ignition system or
electronic fuel pump. The LED turns off to confirm this.
AutoArming
There’s nothing you need to do to set the VirtualKey 2 AutoImmobiliser. Thirty
seconds after you turn off the ignition, exit and close all the doors, the system
automatically engages its two immobilisation points. When it does so, the LED
status indicator will flash repeatedly. Even if a thief has an exact duplicate of your
car key, he still won’t be able to start the engine.

How to Delete the Code(s) of Lost or Stolen VirtualKey(s)
You can erase the codes of lost or stolen VirtualKeys so that they can never be used
to disarm your VirtualKey 2 AutoImmobiliser. To do so, you will need to program in
your remaining/new VirtualKey(s) for a total of 15 times to “push” the old code(s)
out of the system memory. See the following section onAdding New VirtualKeys.
Adding New VirtualKeys
Your VirtualKey 2 AutoImmobiliser will accept as many as 15 differentVirtualKeys.
To add additional VirtualKeys to your system, do the following:
1.Insert your car key with its existing VirtualKey into the ignition switch.
2.Without removing the key, turn the ignition to “ON” then “OFF” 12 times, then
remove the key from the ignition switch. The LED will light and stay lit.
3.Immediately use yourothercar key with the newVirtualKey attached to turn the
ignition to “ON.” The LED will blink off momentarily to confirm that the new
VirtualKey has been read and programmed.
4. Turn the ignition off.
5.If adding more VirtualKeys, immediately repeat steps 3 and 4 for each.
6. After programming the new VirtualKey(s) wait several seconds for the LED to
turn off, indicating that the system has returned to normal operating mode.
Making any changes or modifications to your VirtualKey 2 AutoImmobiliser
security system will invalidate your certificate of installation.

Intheeventthatyourautomobileisstolenandnotrecoveredwithin30days,CliffordElectronics willrefund
toyou,theoriginalpurchaseroftheCliffordsystem,thefirstamountupto£250ofthetheftclaimnotcovered

I. The crime reference number and location of the police station where the crime was reported.

IV.A photocopy of your insurance policy clearly showing your name and the theft excess provision.
