9. Do not operate iron with a damaged cord or if the iron has been dropped or damaged. To avoid an
electric shock hazard, do not disassemble the iron, take it to a Clikon service centre for examinaon
and repair. Incorrect reassembly can cause an electric shock hazard when the iron is used.
10. Burns can occur from touching hot metal parts, use cauon.
Note: To avoid a circuit overload, do not operate another high waage appliance on the same circuit. If an
extension cord is absolutely necessary, a 10 ampere cord should be used. Cords rated for less amperage
may overheat. Care should be taken to arrange the cord so that it cannot be pulled or tripped over.

5. Operaon
- The heat seng marks on the adjustable control dial of this iron match those of the Internaonal
Texle Care Labelling Code.
- Garments (e.g. Nylon, Acetates, Acrilan, Court Elle, Orlon, Triacetates, Tricel) marked with 1 dot
recommendaon should be ironed at the lowest temperature range.
- Garments (e.g. Wool, Polyester mixtures, Polyester/Coon, Linen, Coon, Rayon, Rayon mixtures,
Rayon/Linen) which are suitable for ironing at 2 and 3 dot sngs usually require steam pressing.
- For garments where the material is not clearly stated, start with a lower temperature seng and work
your way up unl you nd the correct seng for that material.
Warning: The Iron can be extremely hot. Do not touch the soleplate or neighboring surfaces of the iron while
it is plugged in, or for 10 minutes aer it has been switched o. Please allow sucient me for cooling before
handling the iron or looping the cord around it.
- Remove the Iron from the packaging and remove and sckers or plasc that may be aached to the
iron.
- Unwind the power cord and check to make sure it is in working condion.
- Plug the iron into the socket and set the heat control dial to the temperature required.
- Place the iron upright (on its heel), and allow it to heat up. The indicator light will turn o when the
iron is at temperature.
- The iron is now ready to be used. The power indicator light will turn on and o while the iron is in
use. This is perfectly normal, and indicates that the heang element is working to keep the iron at the
correct temperature.
Note: The iron heats up quicker than it cools down. Therefore, starng your ironing with 'cool' fabrics and
working up the sengs will save me and electricity.

6. Maintenance
- Avoid placing the iron on a rough surface as it can damage the soleplate.
- Be careful not to scratch the non-sck ceramic oil coang of the sole plate. Take care when ironing
near zippers, metal ornaments, or other things that could, scratch or abrade the coang.
- Keeping the soleplate of your iron clean of starch or residue build up will help to increase its lifespan
and eecveness.
- Ensure that the iron is cool and unplugged before cleaning.
- Stand the iron upright (on its heel) and make a paste with mild scouring powder and a lile water.
- Apply a small amount to the soleplate and rub gently over the whole surface.
- With a clean, so and damp cloth, wipe down the soleplate unl all the paste has been removed.
Then wipe down with a so and dry cloth to remove any moisture.
- Never use abrasive steel wool, metal scouring pads or any rough cleaning tools which could damage
the surface of the soleplate.
- In case any material bres are stuck to the soleplate, set the iron to 3-dot or to a high temperature
posion and pass the iron over a clean piece of coon.
- When you nish ironing ensure the heat control dial is in the OFF/MIN posion. Put the iron on its
heel and let it cool down. Then wind the ex cord around the rear of the iron and store iron safely
on its heel
