Welcome
Thank you for purchasing this Clint H2 digital radio adaptor. This product is designed specifically to add digital
recepon capacity to your exisng HiFi or home selecainment system. The H2 offers the capability of tuning
internet radio and new DAB+ radio channels as well as playing media streams and files on local computer networks.
These are funcons that are rarely found on current models of HiFi and Home Theatre tuners.
The H2 opens a world of possibilies for digital music selecainment. It gives the ability to receive digital radio
streams on the internet from all parts of the world. At least 20,000 staons and pod casts are freely available.
So whether you are in Alaska and want to listen to Brazilian radio or in Ireland and want to listen to music from
the Caribbean, anything is possible. Staons are classified by locaon and genre, so you can find programs that
suit any taste, 24 hours per day, everyday.

Beforeyoucanuseyourinternetradioand/orthemusicstreamingfunction,youneedthefollowing:

2. Awirelessaccesspointconnectedtoyourbroadbandinternetconnection.Anintegratedwireless
routerisrecommended.
3. IfyourwirelessnetworkisconfiguredtouseWEP(WiredEquivalentPrivacy)orWPA(Wi‐FiProtected
Access)dataencryption,itisimportantthatyouknowyourWEPorWPAcodetoconnecttoyour
network.

2.1 DifferencebetweentheInternetRadioPortalandRadioStation
TheremightbesomeconfusionwithregardstothedifferencebetweentheInternetradioportalandtheactual
internetradiostations.

InternetRadioPortalTheportalisthecontentaggregatorwhichmaintainslinkstoalltheavailable
internetradiostations.Itcanbeconsideredtobean‘addressbook’,listingthe
addressofalltheinternetradiostationsandregularlyupdatedwithnewones.
Whenausernavigatesthroughtheradiomenus,thelistofstationsisreturned
bythePortal.Theportalusedis:

InternetRadioStationThestationistheactualwebsitewhichcontainstheselectedstationaudiostream.
OnceauserhasselectedastationthroughthePortal,theradiothenconnects
directlytothestation.

Dependingonyourwirelessroutertheinternetradioshouldworkanywherewithinupto20‐30metersof
thewirelessaccesspoint.
Beforecontinuing,makesurethatyourwirelessaccesspointisturnedonandconnectedtoyourbroadband

The Wi-Fi radio features three types of menu. These are:

Thisisthetoplevelmenuwhichallowsuserstoenterthedifferentmodes,setuptheradio,andview
informationabouttheradio(forexamplesoftwareversion,productID).
zTheInternetRadioStationListmenu
Thisisthemenuthatallowsuserstoaccessthedifferentinternetradioservices.Thismenucomes
directfromtheInternetRadioportal.
zTheModemenusforthevariousmodes
Themodemenusarecalledsobecausetheyshowthefunctionsavailablewithinthecontextofeach
ofthemodes.PressingtheMENUbuttonanytimewilltakeyoutothemodemenuoftherelevantmode
theradioiscurrentlyin.Eachcontextmenuprovidesanentrycalledmainmenuwhichtakesyouback
totheMAINmenu.
TonavigatetothedifferentmenusyoumustusetheARROWbuttonsontheremotecontrol.Usearrow

InorderforH2toplaymusicfilesfromacomputer,thecomputermustbesetuptoshare
filesormedia.
UPnPmediasharingallowsdeviceslikeH2toplaymusicfromasharedmedialibrary,
navigatingthroughtagmenussuchasArtist,AlbumorGenre.Ifyouarerunningasuitableserver
systemsuchasaPCwithWindowsMediaPlayer10orlater(WMP),andyourmusiclibraryis
well‐tagged,thenitisrecommendedtousemediasharing.OnlytheUPnPserverneedstobeset
up.

Presetsarestoredintheradioandcannotbeaccessedfromotherradios.Tostorean
Internetradiopreset,pressandholdPresetuntilthedisplayshowstheSavepreset
screen.Selectoneofthe10presetstosavethecurrentlyplayingstation.
Toselectapreset,pressPresetbriefly,thenselectoneofthelistedpresetstations.
Whenapresetstationisplaying,itshowsPn(P1,P2etc)inthebottomofthescreen.
Note:OperationofpresetsisidenticalforInternetradioandDAB.
9.3Favourites
FavouritesarestoredwiththeInternetradioportal,andareavailablethroughallInternet
radiosregisteredonthesameaccount.Beforefavouritescanbeused,theradiohastobe
registeredwiththeInternetradioportal(seepage16).
