Protection from electric shock
• Disconnect the driver from AC power before installing, dismounting or maintaining the unit.
• Make sure all connectors are connected properly.
• Use only a source of AC power that complies with local building and electrical codes and has both
overload and ground-fault protection.
• Refer all service to a qualified technician.
INTRODUCTION
Thank you for selecting the CLS Façade 12 RGB. The CLS Façade 12 RGB is an universal luminary that uses 12
Luxeon III LEDs to create an even RGB light-output. The CLS Façade 12 RGB can be used indoor and outdoor
through its waterproof (IP65) housing. With these qualities the CLS Façade 12 RGB is almost everywhere
mountable.

Protection from injury due to falls
• Verify that all covers and mounting hardware is securely fastened.
• Block the access around the work area whenever installing or removing the unit.
INSTALLATION
This section describes in general terms how to connect the CLS Façade 12 RGB.
Connecting the CLS RGB Façade to a DMX driver
You need a driver to control the CLS RGB Façade. Use only a CLS driver which is compatible with the CLS Façade
12 RGB. With the CLS DMX-1000 you can connect the CLS Façade 12 RGB simple and fast.
Before installing ensure that you have the right products. For a correct installation you need:

2 CLS Façade 12 RGBs
1 CLS DMX-1000
1 CLS connection cable between DMX-1000 and CLS Luxeon RGB products
1 DMX controller (optional)

Protection from burns and fire
• Do not install the CLS Façade 12 RGB near a heat source.
• Do not install the CLS Façade 12 RGB in a corrosive, flammable or explosive area.
• Do not modify the CLS Façade 12 RGB, or install other than genuine parts.
• Do not operate the CLS Façade 12 RGB if the ambient temperature exceeds 40º C.

WARNING
The CLS Façade 12 RGB can be installed
by using the mounting hole. Drill a hole to
secure it in the wall, floor ceiling, etc.
Drill 2 holes for the DMX cables.
Adjust the CLS Façade 12 RGB to the
preferred position by turning the unit
towards or away from the wall.
Put the power wire of the DMX driver
in the earthed socket.
The CLS Façade 12 RGB is ready to
use.

DMX-1000 wiring diagram
• First make sure to disconnect the driver from AC-power.
• Connect the 8 pin plug of the CLS DMX-1000 connection cable to the DMX-1000.
• Connect the first CLS Façade 12 RGB to the XLR plug of the CLS DMX-1000 connection cable.
• Connect the output of the first CLS Façade 12 RGB to the input of the second CLS Façade 12 RGB.
• Connect the termination-plug to the output of the last CLS Façade 12 RGB, so you make the circuit around.
• Connect the DMX-1000 to AC-power and control the CLS DMX-1000 with a DMX controller. (optional). For more information about the CLS DMX-1000, read its manual.
