Safety
General requirements for electrical household appliances
• If themains lead is damaged in any way, it must be replaced by aqualified
electrician.
• Theproduct may be used by children of 8 years and above and by persons
with reduced physical, sensory or mental capability or lack of experience and
knowledge provided they have been given supervision or instruction concerning
use of theproduct in asafe way and understand thehazards involved.
• Never let children play with theproduct.
• Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be done by children without adult
supervision.

This product is intended for indoor useonly.
Warning
• Theproduct must not be connected to themains during installation or service.
• Never use theproduct in areas where flammable gases or liquids are kept or near
hot objects or environments.
• Theproduct must only be plugged into to anearthed 230 V, 50 Hz power outlet.
Neverconnect theproduct to theelectricity mains using anextensionlead.
Warning: Dangerous voltage
• Theproduct should not be taken apart or modified. Certain unshielded
components inside thecasing carry dangerous voltages. Contact with these can
lead to fire or electricshock.
• Disconnect theproduct from thepower supply by unplugging it from thewall
socket. Makesure that thewall socket and plug are easily accessible.

• Repairs must only be carried out by authorised service personnel and only using
genuine spareparts.
• Do not use theproduct without afilter and do not use adamaged filter.
• Never use theproduct outdoors or in adamp environment such as abathroom.
• Never immerse theproduct, its mains lead or plug inwater.
Important
• Theproduct is only intended for use in anormal indoor environment. Itmust not be
used in extremely smoky or dusty locations.
• Theproduct is only intended for normal domestic use and only in themanner
described in this instruction manual.
• Place theproduct where there is no risk of people tripping over its mainslead.
• Never cover themains lead with rugs or carpets.
• Always unplug theproduct from thewall socket when it is not inuse.
How does theproductwork?
Ionisation
Theionisation of air can most simply be compared to thefeeling just before and
after athunderstorm. Immediately preceding athunderstorm, theair can seem
more difficult to breathe and one can feel tired, this is due to theair being filled with
positively chargedions. Afterathunderstorm when lightning has cleared theair, it can
feel easier to breatheagain. Thisis because theair now contains high concentrations
of negatively chargedions. Modern living conditions with computers, fluorescent
lights and built-in ventilation systems generate asurplus of positively chargedions.
Theair purifier described in this instruction manual draws in air through a2-stage filter
comprising apre-filter and aHEPA filter. Thisprocess cleans theair of harmful particles
such as dust, pollen, irritating odours and exhaustgases. Iftheionisation function is
activated, theair will be ionised once it has passed through thefilter. Theionisation
process causes thecharge in theair to disappear. Thiscauses any dust particles
still in theair to fall to thefloor. Inorder to prevent thedust from rising up and being
sucked into thefilter again, thefloor should be vacuum cleaned about aday (oras
required) after theair purifier has been switchedon. Regular vacuuming will also
prolong thelife of thefilter.

1. Place theair purifier on aflat, stable surface.
2. Connect theplug to anearthed wall socket.
3. Press [ ] (11) to turn on theair purifier at theminimumspeed.
4. Indicator light (1) to show minimum speed has been turned on “I”.
5. Press [ ] to increase to themediumspeed.
6. Indicator light (6) to show medium speed has been turned on “II”.
7. Press [ ] to increase to themaximumspeed.
8. Indicator light (7) to show maximum speed has been turned on “III”.
9. Press [ION] (10) to activate theION function.
10. Indicator light to show theionisation function (4) has been turnedon.
Note: Theionisation function can be activated regardless of chosenspeed.

When theindicator light for filter change (9) comes on, it is time to change thefilter
(sold separately) or clean thesurface of theproduct.
1. Replace or clean thefilter according to theinstructions in thesection Care and
maintenance.
2. Connect theair purifier to theelectricity mains and press [ION] for approximately
3seconds to turn off theindicatorlight.
Care and maintenance
Warning
• Theproduct must not be connected to themains during installation or service.
• Vacuum or sweep theair intake and air outlet with asoftbrush.
• Clean theproduct using adampcloth. Useonly mild cleaning agents, never
solvents or corrosive chemicals.
• Thefilter is not washable but surface dust can be removed using asoft brush or
vacuum cleaner, which prolongs thelife of thefilter.
• Thefilter should be replaced every six months (if theair purifier is in use 12 hours/day).
Changing thelter
1. Grab thecover with bothhands.
3. Pull thecover towardsyou.
2. Twist it anti-clockwise so that thekey
symbol on thecover is aligned with
theopen padlock symbol.
4. Lift out thefilter by pulling on thelabel
marked “FRONT-PULL”.

Outer cleaning of thefilter.
1. Go through steps 1–4 in thesection Changing thefilter.
2. Vacuum clean thefilter and thespace where thefilter sits inside thepurifier.
3. Insert theclean filter in thesame position as previously (thelabel should be turned out).
4. Go through steps 6 and 7 in thesection Changing thefilter.
Troubleshootingguide
Theair purifier will
notstart.
• Make sure that themains lead is undamaged and securely
plugged into awall socket.
• Is thewall socketlive?
• Is thefront cover/air intake correctly fastened? Referto
theChanging thefilter section.
Poor air flow from
theair outlet.
• Has theplastic packaging been removed from thefilter?
• Are any objects blocking theair outlet?
• Does thefilter need to be cleaned? Referto theCare and
maintenance section and clean or replace thefilter as required.
No obvious air
purifying effect.
• Is thefilter installed?
• Are windows or doors alwaysopen? Impurities can flow into
theroom continuously, which means that it can take longer
to clean theair.
Bad smell from
theair outlet.
• Is there cigarette smoke in theroom?
• Does thefilter need to be cleaned? Referto theCare and
maintenance section and clean or replace thefilter as required.
5. Insert thenew filter in thesame
position as theold one (thelabel
should be turned out).
6. Put on thecover so that thekey
symbol on thecover is aligned with
thesymbol for theopen padlock.
7. Twist thecover clockwise so thekey
symbol is aligned to theclosed padlock
symbol.

This symbol indicates that this product should not be disposed of
with general householdwaste. Thisapplies throughout theentire EU.
Inorder to prevent any harm to theenvironment or health hazards
caused by incorrect waste disposal, theproduct must be handed in
for recycling so that thematerial can be disposed of in aresponsible

Hur fungerar produkten?
Joniseringsteknik
Jonisering av luft kan förenklat beskrivas som känslan före och efter ettåskväder.
Straxföre ettåskväder kan luften kännas tung att andas och man kan känna sig
trött, luften är då fylld med positivt laddadejoner. Näråskvädret passerat och
blixtarna har rensat luften känns den lätt att andas igen och man känner sig piggare,
luften innehåller nu enhög koncentration av negativt laddadejoner. Våramoderna
levnadsförhållanden med datorer, lysrör och inbyggda ventilationssystem genererar
ettöverskott av positivt laddadejoner. Luftrenaren som beskrivs iden här
bruksanvisningen drar in luft genom ett2-stegs filter som består av ettförfilter och
ettHEPA-filter. Processen gör att luften renas från skadliga partiklar som damm,
pollen, besvärande lukter och avgaser. Omjoniseringsfunktionen är påslagen joniseras
luften efter att den passerat filtret. Joniseringen innebär att laddningen iluften
försvinner. Dettaleder till att de dammpartiklar som finns kvar iluften faller till golvet.
Föratt undvika att dammet virvlar upp och sugs in ifiltret igen, dammsug golvet ca
ettdygn (eller vid behov) efter att luftrenaren slagitspå. Attdammsuga regelbundet
förlänger också filtrets livslängd.
