Checkthedisplay
Ifnocodehasbeenstoredinthein-
strumentthedisplaywilllooklikethis

displayed&thescreenwilllooklike

Removeateststripfromthe
containerandclosethecontainer
immediately.Checkit’sappearance
fordiscolouration.Donotusedif
discoloured.
Inserttheteststriprmlywith
consistentspeedasfarasitwillgo.
Ifsuccessfulyouwillhear2beeps.
Aashingarrowindicatesthatthe
meterisnowreadyforyoutoopen
thechamberaptoapplythedropof
blood.Atthisstagekeepitclosed.
Youhaveapprox2minutesbefore
themeterwillauto-off.

Choosethelancingsite(prefmiddle
nger,outerside)andcleanwith
alcoholwipe.Drywithtissue.
6.
Lancethengerandmilksiteto
produceadropofblood.Wipe off
the first drop.Milkthesiteagainto
formalargehangingdropofblood.
7.
Liftthechamberapandremove
theteststrip(leavetheapopen).
Applythehangingblooddirectlyto
thereactionpad.Donottouchthe
pad.Theapplicationareamustbe
completelycoveredwithblood.
8.
Inserttheteststripbackintothe
instrument.
9.
Closethechamberap.Thisstarts
themeasurement&countdown.
